It took me 18 years of suffering, multiple docotrs gas lighting me, almost dying , to finally get diagnosed and start getting treatment.

It mostly is fed gov disease agencies, insurance companies and conventional drs have to abide by these idiotic guidelines that tell drs not to treat, but drs and all hospitals are assisting in this not acknowledging. People need to speak against these fed disease agencies and hospitals. The leaders of these agencies and hospitals are much more at fault. This fed system needs to abide by lyme and tick disease patients terms and not there terms.

Official studies/investigations that have tried to locate live ticks in Australia carrying the Borellia bacteria have never been successful. We need more funding put towards these efforts. Collect enough ticks and you WILL find Borrelia here.
Someone has told me that the animal agriculture industry in Australia plays a big part in suppressing these kinds of investigations. The fact that we can claim there is no Lyme disease here makes in much easier to export animal products overseas.

And this is why people self diagnose and and will turn to google for not only self treatment but also to see if they can help themselves, the medical field is so far behind and deluded.
I have bursitis and CFS/ME and I've had to turn to nootropics and a natropath to even get any energy as Dr's would not take me seriously at all

Antibiotics work best in the initial stages,. Unfortunately, I wasn't diagnosed in the early stages as I like many others was undiagnosed and gaslighted by the medical profession. It took over 12 years for Lyme to be investigated even then I had to get tests done overseas because the australian tests are extreamly unreliable. I was able to try antibiotics, unfortunately they didn't work. Even when I tested positive for Lyme and Rickettsia it was ignored by the Australian medical profession.
I sat crying watching this, I have no faith in the medical profession, I still get gaslighted and referred to psychologist.

Lyme disease testing is carried out in Australia and successfully finds cases in people returning from overseas. Why are there these controversial cases that only test positive from certain overseas facilities?

People who have never left Australia do test positive. But when this happens, the lab simply says it must be a false positive because 'we don't have Lyme here'. Which is obviously a complete joke. Testing is also a complex issue, and the protocol that our health authorities follow is outdated and highly problematic, known for many false negatives.

Exactly. These people are very clearly sick, but it's not Lyme, it's something new that we don't know how to treat effectively yet.

the presenter that stated it’s easily curable with 6 weeks of antibiotics is absolutely false.
