Jesus models how to give the message, the truth, as the truth. He didn't change the truth to make it less truth. That is different, fundamentally different, than a caustic message. It is offensive by its very nature, it doesn't need our help. He was truth with love, justice and mercy. Many, MANY, are not focusing on that. This isn't chemistry where we buffer acid or base due to the environment or what someone else is doing wrong.
I can’t seem to turn from my sins no matter how hard I try
You haven’t seen how wicked your sin is.
It's the Holy Spirit that will help you overcome sins, we can't do it on our own power. Some sins may fall away immediately after salvation, but some you may struggle with. Stay in the Word, keep praying, and never become comfortable with sin and God will give you the victory
Stop trying to turn from them. Focus on Jesus. Look at the cross. Focus on Gods grace. We are saved by grace through faith. I’m NOT saying you don’t need to repent, what I’m saying is that focusing on your sin instead of focusing on God will just keep you focused on yourself. Jesus forgave and said that the sin was no more. Eating yourself up about your sin as a Christian is like the flagellants during the black plague. They not only were NOT pleasing God by punishing themselves, they spread the disease. Stop looking at you since and failure. Repent does not mean “feel bad”. It means turn around. Stop looking at your heart. Look at God. He has mercy and abundant grace for those who seek it. I will pray for you right now. It’s so hard not to fall into the trap of self loathing when we know that sin is disgusting and we still do it. Don’t make excuses for yourself either. Go to Jesus. Remember the thief on the cross. He didn’t do anything. He just believed in Who Jesus is and what he did. All the fitness Jesus requires is for us to feel a need of him. That’s a hymn I love called come ye sinners. I’m praying for you tonight friend.

You have to become desperate asking Jesus Christ for help.
Become like a child, children needs help in everything.
it's impossible for you to do it on your own, you need to plead with God for help so that He changes you from the inside, then also the outside will be clean.
