- Has the church you are a part of ever disciplined someone? Are there professing believers in the church who are living in ongoing sin, and it is not addressed? Why is this? Why are churches not practicing church discipline and excommunicating someone?

No
Not since the pastor they hired from Calif came. It did before California mentality was brought in.
God bless you!!!! We need more biblical churches. I have a father in law that has been very inappropriate with women. He has ongoing issues and still in the church attending Bible studies. He’s a wrecking ball.
Myself and others had to leave our church (what was a solid reformed church) because leadership did the exact opposite of what Conway is preaching here. The pastor tolerated his friend preaching a bizarre heresy, and then started acting like the Christians who opposed it were being judgmental when we said it needs to be addressed.
And this wasn't a milquetoast, hippie pastor. This was a previously very stalwart, doctrinally sound minister. We noticed a decline in the spirituality of leadership, ever since they had been opposing movements within the church to start having corporate prayer meetings. In my view, this both quenched and grieved the Spirit.
It sent them down a path of carnality, factionism, and an obsession with premillennial eschatology (and uncharitable attitudes toward those who were postmillennial) with all these, Satan laid the groundwork so that later when the heresy was taught, some in leadership were already prejudiced against those who stood up to it.
The fallout from said controversy has been unspeakable. Slander (against those who peacefully left)... lost relationships... bad blood among brethren... unconfessed sin... and more.
Brothers, sin is contagious. Deal with it in your churches.
Sounds a lot like what’s happening in my assembly. You cannot compare scripture to scripture if it opposes the cherry picked one line verses that support a doctrine not putting Christ at the center of Prophecy.
Amen!
The leaders of these churches not practicing discipline is because the shepherds don't fear God
Amen!! Allistar Begg should hear this.
Praise the lord
It's having respect of persons when you do not reprove and admonish them as you ought.
Really good. 😊
You've described the Seventh-Day-Adventist church nicely. Not an idol rant; I was born into it 70 years ago, My mother, and other members had me poisoned via nephilim-they didn't think they were getting a good enough "return" on my life........
You might also find Tim's study helpful called, "Seventh-day Adventism: Cult or Not?" ua-cam.com/video/65PcypkGaew/v-deo.html
It’s a United Methodist church. They have no healthy fear of God. Just wish I could find a church home
After being born into this cult, I don't know if I can believe in a church home. Oh, they have repercussions, they almost killed me for not marrying another seventh-day adventist . Really.
Honestly, in has been my experience in Washington state where I live, there’s not one church I’ve found to be Bible preaching, God obeying, Jesus is the only way church. Most are rock star wanna be smoke and mirrors music and maybe 20 “feel good” sermon. The one I belonged to for years installed a coffee shop and playground…I’m still “visiting” local churches here hope to find a home
I recommend using online church finder tools like the one the masters seminary provides. I'm a WA native as well and it is sparse
@@ryanmathew4503 Thank you for the info. Be blessed!
Church of Christ in Washington state. I recommend because I’ve been going to one in Orlando Florida. This church did this discipline not long ago and the person actually did come back to the church the way the Bible verse says. He was restored because they never gave up on him. In love they disciplined him and he understood why. I also recommend you search their website for their beliefs which they hopefully will state clearly. Don’t give up on God because of the actions of people. Pray He guides you to a place where He will want you to be given the unfiltered truth of His word. He will do it.

@@ibico907 Quick question: Most "church of Christ" if referring to the denomination, teach baptismal regeneration. Do the one's you are referring to not teach this error?
