    I moved to Lincoln 6 years ago. I love it. I'm never leaving. 4 of my adult kids have relocated here also.
    I've lived in NY, Fl, IN, NC and nothing compares.

      Hi, Tammy. I'm really glad to have read your comment. I'm looking for a better state. I'm born and raised in the Bay Area California, and I just have gotten to the point where I just hate it here. I've hated it here for a long time, but now that my folks are gone and my brother moved away and I'm in between jobs, I can't think of any reason why I'm still living in this crime-ridden state. My aunt and cousins live in Omaha. I can't decide which is better, Lincoln or Omaha.

    Grew up in Lincoln for 30 years. Moved to Colorado (Fort Collins) and I miss it everyday.

      We lived in Denver for a few years and went to Ft. Collins for CSU football a few times. Nice town but far more expensive than Lincoln. Indeed, Lincoln is a really nice city.

    Well Jack thanks for the presentation on Lincoln. Yeah been looking at moving back to the midwest. As the elevation and just overall air quality here in Utah isn't too desirable.

    I thought it was only around 100,000. Surprised to see almost 300,000 for some reason I was thinking today about a childhood friend who moved and settled in Lincoln.

    Thank you for such a nice video! I miss the Midwest and I’m thinking of relocating there. My only concern is with tornadoes.. any opinion on that?

    • @lifewithjackandnicole
      @lifewithjackandnicole  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Jonathan and thank you watching our channel. By trade I'm actually a meteorologist so I hope I ca make you feel a little better about the tornado threat. Keep in mind all across the midwest down thru Texas, Oklahoma and the southeast there is a risk of tornadoes. However, if you look at it from a statistical point of view your odds of being caught in one are very, very low. I believe the positives of Lincoln far outweigh the risk of being hit by a tornado. I hope this helps.

      I live in crime-infested Bay Area in California and am desperate to leave. I'll bet it's more dangerous living here than tornadoes? What do you think?

    From Colorado. How are the summer bugs? We are spoiled here with no bugs while camping and hiking. How is the health care? Looking at retiring out of expensive Colorado.

    • @lifewithjackandnicole
      @lifewithjackandnicole  2 роки тому +1

      I'm no expert since I don't live there but there will be bugs since the climate is not as dry as Colorado. We too lived in Colorado for a few years and of course bugs were never a big issue for us. With the University of Nebraska in town I hear health care is good. You might look thru some of the other comments here and I believe there are a couple of folks from Lincoln commenting that may be able to help you more.

    Are there recreational lakes or rivers (water-skiing and jet skiing) around Lincoln, NE?

    • @lifewithjackandnicole
      @lifewithjackandnicole  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, not a lot but there is Pawee Recreation area. Just a few miles outside city has boating opportunities. But keep in mid it's a small lake, around 750 acres I believe.
