Oh the joys I get when I forgor about Chipflake but got recommended this video out of nowhere and clicked on it cause I thought it'd be a funny/whacky/cute story and start jumping for joy when I realize it's Chipflake and my faith in humanity has been restored knowing bro is still making videos
this is the cutest LDR story i've ever heard. Thank you for sharing with us! I agree a lot with being friends first and then seeing if things play out that way then cool, if not, still got friends, rather than shunned away at an instant by "type." my last relationship was like this, a friendship turned relationship, had a LDR, then back together. unfortunately as we got older we drifted apart romantically ironically after living together too early/long. but we're still friends and support each other, it's just a hard explanation to the rest of the family
I met my bf on a discord server ~2 years ago now, and its still wild to think about. We were friends before we got together and I said to myself "eh why not ive never been in a relationship before and theyre cool." We were both just barely entering adulthood, so they were a fixer upper, but I didn't mind it. Now, 2 years later, I'm super happy with our relationship, and we were able to save up and meet last summer. Their family is super great and accepting as well! My biggest tip for anyone looking for a relationship is to just focus on being friends first, not partners. That way, you either get an awesome friend, or get an amazing partner, since they may turn out to be a good person and good friend, but just not someone who would work well relationship-wise with you. As for kids/young adults- just wait. It's really hard to figure out someone else's life if you dont even have yours figured out, and it shouldn't be your first priority.
This is a comforting story! My girlfriend is from germany, I'm from south africa and we also met randomly on Discord and became really really good friends! I'm working my ass off to get to her... I uh... Am not explaining that part to my family. All they know is I have friends in Germany and I am sick of SA lmao! Thank you so much for sharing, Chipflake! You have no idea how awesome this was to hear.
It just occurred to me how DEEP your voice has gotten over the years I've loosely followed your content. Thats awesome dude! Grats on moving and overcoming the difficulties of an LDR!
I just wanna say chip's art is so visually pleasing to look at that I ended up rewacthing most of his videos up to 5 times at least and his old + new voice is also very nice
having different interest from your partners is comfy if you vibe on a personal level, just hanging in the same room together both doing your own thing is nice
It's a really heartwarming story, made me feel much better after my pretty long and stable long-distance relationship suddenly came to an end. It's good to hear it works out for some people at least ^^ I wish you both luck!
This is so strange... I met my husband from England almost ten years ago on Omegle using the text based chat when we were both teenagers and we've been long distance practically the whole time. I finally got my visa though and I will be moving next month! So crazy that someone else did something so similar in terms of time frame, area and I bet the same chat site. So cool to see! ^.^ Also, I wouldn't feel embarrassed Chip. Long distance is difficult and it just shows how strong the bond between the both of you is to make it work for so long. Great work and I am so happy for you! 💙 Edit: As Chip said, please be careful on random chat sites especially if you are younger. I did it back then because everyone would use it but as he said in the video, the site was much different ten years ago and that goes for most chat sites. It's mostly filled with bots and people wanting more than friendship and less than a relationship if you know what I mean. Just be cautious and do not use these sites to look for a romantic partner as it typically does not work out well. Thank you for reading! (✿^‿^)
I missed you dude, like a lot. I remember when I used to get so excited to see new content from you. It's hard to move on but sometimes you have to accept changes and move on. I'm so glad to have timely updates from you, you made my childhood what it is today, and i love you for that.
Gotta say, I COMPLETELY AGREE! One day, my best friend and I were vibing then the next, we were together! Still are actually though it’s not even been a year yet.
This is wild that this video got recommended to me just as I entered a long-distance relationship. I was super worried but you actually gave me hope it can work out :)
Speaking of online relationships, i am in one myself (two years so far, and i am not able to get to them for another 2), and the funny thing about mines is that the other person just joined a server i was in recently not even for the topic of the server, someone quite literally said “you guys should get together” and so we did, and it eventually started to become an actual relationship. There was a bunch of bumps along the relationship, but it all is working out (so far). I am glad that yours worked out, and it gives me more hope that mines will go perfectly fine too
This was adorable. :) I agree with your general advice, too. I'd add that, pursuing personal interests and finding ways to improve yourself are much more effective strategies at finding happiness with someone else, than seeking out someone who will somehow make your life magically better. Be comfortable with yourself and hang out doing stuff you enjoy (or trying new things) with other people. That's the best way to actually find someone.
odufvhudfghvfuhd, Im so happy for you two and that everything went so well! Hope you had fun making this video, it has an incredible amount of effort put into it and that really shows... ❤
I remember that you made a clip years ago about a story with him. You used "friend" to describe the relation at that time in that clip. Really cool to see that you have a person you are so closed to and be happy together.
i remember i found my first boyfriend through chance on twitter because i was like “I wanna boyfriend” which i realize in retrospect was a horrible idea but i was a teenager so gimme some slack but anyway he saw the tweet and he responded that he wanted one too and we were just like “ok” and that was it. surprisingly it actually went amazingly, we had a lot in common and we complemented each other really well we were together four about 4 months until we broke up but we’re still good friends
I’m a teen in a long distance relationship myself so this is quite reassuring! My partner and I have been together for a little less than two years now, and we still haven’t met in person due to a little something called school and family. All that to say you gave me hope, thank you chip!
Glad to see LDR worked for you and led to you two moving in together! Hope to see more videos from you :3 Many break since people can't stand the distance, had one for a year and it kinda just died out but we are still friends in the end. Good luck out there ppl
I'm pretty sure when he came out as trans there was a bit at the end where the cat was always more of a mascot rather than a representation of him. So the skunk is more of his actual persona
I met the first person I ever had a real relationship with on the forum of a site I'd rather not name for *different* embarrassment reasons-nothing super dodgy, just very dweeby-when we were both teenagers, and it took me until I was in my early twenties to say anything about it to them because I'd got it into my head that we were too alike for things to work out and they had a boyfriend for a while in between anyway. When I finally did it turned out they'd been into me for a while, which was a weird kind of relief. That relationship lasted about five years and even after things fell apart romantically we remained friends and still send each other weird music and occasionally talk about life stuff. And I feel like all that's pretty normal if you're a nerdy queer person? You fall in love with someone through just sharing a bit of yourself with them across long distances and it becomes something mutual, whether temporarily or in the long term.
A few days ago I watched up until the "Behold! [...] Cheese on bread :)" bit, and went "Oh. Yeah. I understand completely" and now I'm here several days later watching it two times in a row because the story is cute (and Chipflake is just easy to listen to/watch)
As someone who's met my s/o of one year online, feeling like they're the one and waiting for the day we can actually meet up in person I feel you. Long distance relationships are hard.
I honestly needed this video rn. I've been struggling with the one I love not reciprocating the same feelings, which has caused me to consider going to random sites and trying to find someone to "help me get over them". I kinda went into this video expecting some kind of "yea you should talk to strangers online it worked for me!". I'm glad that's not what this was. Sort of gave me a reality check of "this is dangerous, just because it worked out for me doesn't mean you should do it" type beat. Idk if i'm explaining myself very well (as you can tell i'm still young lol), but thanks Chip.
I'm so happy to hear that you found a great friend and that you two started dating. I am not that lucky. When I found friends online and in real life, they were my friends for a week or a month and then they started being with some other people and forgot me. Anyways, I'm so happy for you and Andro
you have no idea how encouraging this is to me. i'm 16 in america and my girlfriend is 18 in the philippines. we met two years ago on discord and have been dating for the past year. even though we can't meet irl due to the massive distance and the 13/14 hour difference (depending on dst) makes being together very difficult. however, our bond is as strong as ever, and we love each other very much. we plan to get married soon after she moves here and i couldn't be more excited. thank you for the encouragement that it can work. i'm very, very happy for you and your boyfriend and i hope you two have a wonderful life together!
as someone whos in a very serious long distance relationship currently and almost everyone in my life putting it down, this gives me hope that things w/ me and my partner gonna work out and meet up one day! (we've been together for almost 2 years now as well)
You two had really good chemistry when appearing in the same videos, all I can say is congrats. I've been a long time sub, even predating this account (I used a school email back then, which is nuked to hell) and remember watching "Super Good Luck vs Super Bad Luck?!" video. I remember that then, I really enjoyed it and made a dumb comment along with it. I'm really happy for the both of you. Being 14 when I seen that video and being 19 now, I'm glad I stuck around. Also, yay storytime format. Hope you both have a great day
This video is one of the most touching things I've seen to date. Me and my partner are both mlm and trans/nonbinary (he's ftm, I'm genderfluid), we've been together for 9 years. While it's different since we went to school together, we both are polyam and have dated people long distance before, and it was really touching to hear about someone else's experience dating someone long distance from separate countries! I hope you two are well today, and that you live well together for a long time. Cheers!
I had a similar experience. I met my Boyfriend almost 10 years ago while playing games online, on a teamspeak server. now we were around 14 at that time, and both male presenting...so we were just friends. But 1,5 years ago i started hrt, and with that a lot has changed. we spent a lot of time together online, talked about very personal stuff... and got closer over time. after breaking up with my short term girlfriend at the time, i admitted my feelings for him and we started dating 7 months ago on my birthday. I love that you shared your story here, people often dont understand how life long bonds can be formed online.❤
Met my boyfriend, and most of my extended friend group on SecondLife 10 years ago, and we all still hang out there and in discord, the lot of us are weird but we have fun and make cool stuff so that's all that matters. Also we're scattered from Europe, to Canada, to USA, and even Australia so it's neat to always have stuff to talk about
woah. its a storytime 😳
so i felt like trying out this format again! it was pretty fun, though I think i'd do some things differently next time

Oh the joys I get when I forgor about Chipflake but got recommended this video out of nowhere and clicked on it cause I thought it'd be a funny/whacky/cute story and start jumping for joy when I realize it's Chipflake and my faith in humanity has been restored knowing bro is still making videos
bro i hadnt watched this guy in years and holy shit that voice change blasted away. Also hope you're living well with your boyfriend.
this is the cutest LDR story i've ever heard.
It's really hard to figure out someone else's life if you dont even have yours figured out, and it shouldn't be your first priority.
for kids, looking for a partner gets pretty weird, try staying in the friendzone for a bit, please
"what a cute accent" and then love hit chip like a random German sign
Saw this in my recommendations, and this is adorable. I'm happy that you guys relationship worked out this far.
It's nice to hear
This is a comforting story! My girlfriend is from germany, I'm from south africa and we also met randomly on Discord and became really really good friends! I'm working my ass off to get to her... I uh... Am not explaining that part to my family. All they know is I have friends in Germany and I am sick of SA lmao!
Thank you so much for sharing, Chipflake! You have no idea how awesome this was to hear.
It just occurred to me how DEEP your voice has gotten over the years I've loosely followed your content. Thats awesome dude! Grats on moving and overcoming the difficulties of an LDR!
I love it, but is most likely bcuz I like guys :p
First time watching again after 2 years and we both transitioned.
Fr tho his voice is so deep now, I didn’t recognize it at all.
There is a certain charm to his voice though that didn’t ever leave

I just wanna say chip's art is so visually pleasing to look at that I ended up rewacthing most of his videos up to 5 times at least and his old + new voice is also very nice
@@user-nl2yy7ys9c this is truly a 💀 moment
having different interest from your partners is comfy if you vibe on a personal level, just hanging in the same room together both doing your own thing is nice
Bro, your story is adorable. I'm so happy you guys were able to find an enduring relationship so early just by sharing the things you like.
Also, I wouldn't feel embarrassed Chip. Long distance is difficult and it just shows how strong the bond between the both of you is to make it work for so long. Great work and I am so happy for you! 💙
Edit: As Chip said, please be careful on random chat sites especially if you are younger.
I’m genuinely surprised and glad that Chip finally found someone to spend their lives with together
I had no idea he was dating Andromada bro
Such an inspiring relationship, I hope one day I can have a special someone.
I love this! Chip shows how relationships sneak up on you, so don’t force one and just enjoy yourself without worrying about “the one”
I am glad that yours worked out, and it gives me more hope that mines will go perfectly fine too
This is one of the most wholesome relationship stories I’ve ever heard.
Wholesome chip moment
Glad non stream viewers get to know!!
I haven’t watched this dude in a while, it feels so weird seeing he has a new main.
This was adorable. :)
I agree with your general advice, too.
This is so wholesome! I'm happy that you've found each other, and I hope that, one day, I'll also have a story like this to tell.
odufvhudfghvfuhd, Im so happy for you two and that everything went so well! Hope you had fun making this video, it has an incredible amount of effort put into it and that really shows... ❤
That 'no' sounds like Talking Ben I can't 💀✋
but forreal super cute vid
I remember that you made a clip years ago about a story with him. You used "friend" to describe the relation at that time in that clip. Really cool to see that you have a person you are so closed to and be happy together.
Actually loved this storytime, hearing about your life is just as wholesome as your animations and would love to hear more about you two.
i remember i found my first boyfriend through chance on twitter because i was like “I wanna boyfriend” which i realize in retrospect was a horrible idea but i was a teenager so gimme some slack
but anyway he saw the tweet and he responded that he wanted one too and we were just like “ok” and that was it. surprisingly it actually went amazingly, we had a lot in common and we complemented each other really well
we were together four about 4 months until we broke up but we’re still good friends
I love this man. That “cheese on bread” was perfectly delivered 😭🙏
I’m a teen in a long distance relationship myself so this is quite reassuring! My partner and I have been together for a little less than two years now, and we still haven’t met in person due to a little something called school and family.
All that to say you gave me hope, thank you chip!
aww!! that’s amazing you both got together so well! i’m glad to see you both enjoy being so silly with eachother! :D
This is.....the cutest thing i have ever seen...ever, i hope you both are stayin healthy n do well!

Do you believe in gravity?
You met him for a reason.
Isn't it gravity that draws people to each other?
Glad to see LDR worked for you and led to you two moving in together!
Hope to see more videos from you :3
Many break since people can't stand the distance, had one for a year and it kinda just died out but we are still friends in the end. Good luck out there ppl
Bro help me im still confused he was a woman and is a trans man now right?
@@ryanguy5452 you don’t become a trans man, but yes he is a trans man
when did chipflake not be silly cat anymore
I'm pretty sure when he came out as trans there was a bit at the end where the cat was always more of a mascot rather than a representation of him. So the skunk is more of his actual persona
Didn't watch the full video it yet but I'm glad you found someone :3
Edit: watched it, he seems really cool! I'm glad you're happy!
Ive been watching for four years now back when you two collabed a few times so its sweet to see you two together now
I met the first person I ever had a real relationship with on the forum of a site I'd rather not name for *different* embarrassment reasons-nothing super dodgy, just very dweeby-when we were both teenagers, and it took me until I was in my early twenties to say anything about it to them because I'd got it into my head that we were too alike for things to work out and they had a boyfriend for a while in between anyway.
Yeah. I understand completely"
and now I'm here several days later watching it two times in a row because the story is cute (and Chipflake is just easy to listen to/watch)
As someone who's met my s/o of one year online, feeling like they're the one and waiting for the day we can actually meet up in person I feel you. Long distance relationships are hard.
bro i was not ready i just whatched your vid on how you struggled to come out and was not expecting that big a change of voice congrats dude
Wait you and andro are TOGETHER? that's why your dynamic is so good.
6:08 cheese on bread reference
I honestly needed this video rn. I've been struggling with the one I love not reciprocating the same feelings, which has caused me to consider going to random sites and trying to find someone to "help me get over them". I kinda went into this video expecting some kind of "yea you should talk to strangers online it worked for me!". I'm glad that's not what this was. Sort of gave me a reality check of "this is dangerous, just because it worked out for me doesn't mean you should do it" type beat. Idk if i'm explaining myself very well (as you can tell i'm still young lol), but thanks Chip.

he feels comfortable around us :D
I'm so happy to hear that you found a great friend and that you two started dating.
I am not that lucky. When I found friends online and in real life, they were my friends for a week or a month and then they started being with some other people and forgot me.
Anyways, I'm so happy for you and Andro
Sounds about right. You both are really cute and holsom, wish y'all the best ❤
you have no idea how encouraging this is to me.
i'm 16 in america and my girlfriend is 18 in the philippines. we met two years ago on discord and have been dating for the past year. even though we can't meet irl due to the massive distance and the 13/14 hour difference (depending on dst) makes being together very difficult. however, our bond is as strong as ever, and we love each other very much. we plan to get married soon after she moves here and i couldn't be more excited.
thank you for the encouragement that it can work. i'm very, very happy for you and your boyfriend and i hope you two have a wonderful life together!
She's a pedo
as someone whos in a very serious long distance relationship currently and almost everyone in my life putting it down, this gives me hope that things w/ me and my partner gonna work out and meet up one day! (we've been together for almost 2 years now as well)
that little "cheese on bread :)" made my day
Seeing such a great UA-camr move for their partner is so sweet 🫶
Welcome back to storytime animations, and what a great story to start with. Very happy for you both!
Im German too i Wish you the best time of your Life and a never ending love Story
And too your Boyfriend (Pass gut auf ihn auf)
Have a great day 👌
You two had really good chemistry when appearing in the same videos, all I can say is congrats.
Hope you both have a great day
CHIP HAVE U GONE THROUGH A GROWTH SPURT UR VOICE IS. DIFJDJDKDJ
That is very awesome Chip! It's cool how you're able to talk about this, even if it feels embarrassing.
Cheers!
God bless your parents and for all they have been through with you🎉

I had a similar experience. I met my Boyfriend almost 10 years ago while playing games online, on a teamspeak server. now we were around 14 at that time, and both male presenting...so we were just friends. But 1,5 years ago i started hrt, and with that a lot has changed. we spent a lot of time together online, talked about very personal stuff... and got closer over time. after breaking up with my short term girlfriend at the time, i admitted my feelings for him and we started dating 7 months ago on my birthday.
I love that you shared your story here, people often dont understand how life long bonds can be formed online.❤
Why everyone’s stories happened 10 years ago
Met my boyfriend, and most of my extended friend group on SecondLife 10 years ago, and we all still hang out there and in discord, the lot of us are weird but we have fun and make cool stuff so that's all that matters.
Also we're scattered from Europe, to Canada, to USA, and even Australia so it's neat to always have stuff to talk about
I used to watch ur vids like 6-4 years ago damn, congrats yo!
