I would say the jump from one to two was the largest. They really pushed things with the second one. That train level was absolutely insane when I was a kid.
This game is not very popular, hardly anyone will undertake its development. Big studios are afraid of losing money, the game can only be made by dedicated fans or indie developers.
It also needs a decent ending because the last game in the Syphon Filter series, Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow, ends with a very odd cliffhanger leaving us with no answers as to what happened to Gabe, Mujari and Teresa. After all they've been through, if they really got killed in such a pathetic way, this is the worst ending I could have imagined for an amazing franchise like SF.

Remember my uncle having Syphon Filter 1 and playing the hell out of that game then part 2 came out and I saved up all my allowance to get it then it was 2 discs omg this was my favorite

Cant believe this game is almost 25 years old now. If I could just get my hands on a ORIGINAL PS1 console and this game series.

I love the absolute badass tone Logan has throughout this title. His personality shift with being betrayed was perfect and that little chat he has with Morgan in the Expo center was exactly it. Just taking no shit and insulting Morgan along the way while not being intimidated at all.

I remember playing this game through a demo as a kid. But now looking at the final game, I didn't know this is actually a great game! I like how when you're in combat, there is a "danger" meter. This series deserves a remaster.
Good memories with this game, I must have been around 5 when I first "played" it. I remember having no idea what was going on, so at around 11:00 instead of going into the cave I would just shoot the guy in the face, fail the mission, and repeat for about 10 minutes while laughing with my dad. Then he'd take over and actually play the game while I watched lol. The same went for games such as Dino Crisis and Medievil, I'd mess around and get stuck very early on, so I'd just hand the controller over to my dad and watch him play instead.
Why can I relate to this so much? I could never get far enough to shoot the first enemy. I would just run around and laugh with my dad until I got too scared to shoot the enemies myself and that's when I'd hand the controller over. It took me so long to figure out what the name of this game was and once it got to the part where your parachuting, a wave of nostalgia come flooding into my brain 😂
I remember asking for Syphon Filter 1 for Christmas, because I lived the taser so much. I got Syphon Filter 2 instead, which was just as good as the first. I was surprised that Santa Claus gave me a game that was rated M for Mature haha
Very first mission when your parachuting down, if you land on the square rock above your guy with the broken leg, I'm sure there's a weapon box up there, might be wrong though haha one of my fave series is Syphon Filter!
Absolutely right. When I first started playing this game, I was a little little kid so I was terrible. I wound up exploring all the first couple of levels and there tons of hidden weapon boxes around.
The chills going through my spine with how close you got to some of the guys when you had to tase them 😂 I remember getting caught when I played this. But this game from the first to the third one was my childhood in a nutshell. Im now trying to fish out my playstation console and finding these game series. 😊
