Milk crates for propane bottles is always a great idea.

  • @cchambersglenn

Great ideas. I remember you talking about your 5 gallon water jug and the pump. We are now in Custer SP but not really boondocking. We have electricity and are working to conserve water. I also like your idea of using the bucket as your shower water heats up and then using that water for your toilet flush. I will get a collapsible bucket 😊when we get home. We often camp with only electricity at state parks. Another great video! Thanks!

  • @ChasingOurSunshine

Great tips & ways to save water! We do need one of those buckets 🪣

  • @airstreamer

That's where we have been getting our propane, but we didn't know about the app. The 30 gallon water bladder works great. Some interesting ideas here. Your little secret with 13 thousand subscribers, lol! We use a percolator every day for our coffee, love it! -Michelle

An excellent video, Stan and Rhonda! In years past, we've boondocked a lot! You gave so many wonderful suggestions; the water conservation ideas are spot on, too. That was exactly what we did! It's hard to believe that was 30 years ago! We didn't have the bladder, or generator or solar (sure wish we did), so we had to make do. We carried 7 five-gallon jugs for water, two extra 40# propane bottles in addition to the 20# bottles, and 3 fully charged deep-cycle batteries. This was for 4 weeks in the Jemez Mountains on a drilling program. We stayed in a Forest Service Campground in our Shasta. There are so many great memories. We made it work, and we were quite comfortable. What we wouldn't have given just for a generator to charge the batteries.

Wow’s all great stuff. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on boon docking. Thanks From Wisconsin

    We love our Perculator.

  • @patleonard2884

Thanks for sharing your tips for boondocking!

  • @dougwilliams3276

Learned a new trick today. When you turn on the propane for your generator, do it SLOW!! If you turn it on to fast you could flip the slug in it and it will limit or cut off your propane to it. Mine wouldnt stay running and found out that it was the problem.

  • @randypetty3066

I have 2 2200 watt dual fuel gen sets that I run in parallel. I went with smaller units for handling purposes…my old back isn’t what it used to be. I have only run them on propane. Like you I don’t want to mess with a gasoline can. Also, i am not a fan of ethanol fuel in small engines that aren’t run frequently. I believe that propane will not gum-up like ethanol fuel can….

  • @aChangeOfSceneryRV

The "slug" coffee pot, we had one with our old camper. We used a coffee filter in the basket, just pole a hole in the center. Keeps most of the grounds out.

  • @NelsonsRetreat

I enjoyed this one guys, thanks

  • @timf6916

Good job, you are going to up date your videos to your new trailer. You carry a lot more water now. You the MAN Stan.

  • @artfisher1615

Have another one for you Stan. We were going to boondock on a trip to Utah a couple years ago. When reviewing options,I was thinking of taking an extra battery and how to recharge it. I bought a 7-pin trailer plug and wired a cord to the power and ground terminals. Put connector loops on the other end. My plan was to put 1 battery in the bed of the truck, hook up the wire, plug it into the trailer connector, and charge the battery while we drove around the next day without the trailer. Ended up taking my generator instead, but I still keep the cord in my truck just in case.

  • @barbarapalmer268

    I use those tubs also

  • @TheBimbleEffect

Great Video. Love the Snap Pad T-shirt

  • @bobanddangsjourney

Great tips on this video - we do a lot of boondocking and even we learned a few things... That collapsable sink is really nice - we will buy one of those. And spot on with the propane too - love the Mopeka sensors - and also agree 100% on the generator so much cleaner on propane, but nice to known you can go to a gas station if you need to. We have a Costco close by and they have the best prices around - its the only one in San Diego county that has propane and fortunately near us :) Tractor supply is great too and we use that when on the road when we can. I still have a bunch of 6 gallon jugs I use for water, one day I will graduate to a bladder and pump :) And we have collapsible 6 gallon water jugs we use for drinking water - but they do eventually wear out and leak... Thanks for this guys it is very helpful!

  • @Therealgirlinthedesert

I love all your suggestions! We want to go boondocking in our 5th wheel for the first time! Any good suggestions on the BLM land out innQuartzite? We live right next door in Tonopah! We’d love to try it out there.

  • @barbarapalmer268

    Good information.

  • @user-gy3lf3ig5u
