Good morning pretty lady. It is 8 o'clock here in south USA, Louisiana, Jan 17 2025. I just want to say you make me smile when I see your videos. Love your tutorials and scrappy quilts, they always come out beautifully. Love how the snowball in one corner in each block can affect the overall look. Great thought process Karen! Love love! Thank you for sharing your ideas in videos. You are such an inspiration!
i love the way the snowballing creates a fluidity against the geometry… i saved this before i even watched it, just from the thumbnail. i’ll definitely be using this idea . thank you 🌸
Good morning! Its 5:24 am here on January 17th and this video came up on my feed while having my morning coffee. I love scrappy quilts. I've also just organized my sewing room and have bins of different width strips from 1.5 to 6.5 so this pattern is perfect to give my "orphan scraps" as I call them a home. Thank you for such a pleasent visit with you and this lovely pattern. I've subscribed and look forward to other videos. Keep smiling. Blessings, 😊
Beautiful! you are amazing I told you about my learning to quilt at 77 and the falling and breaking my hip. Well just as I got back to my quilting I fell and broke my lower leg on the same side. I am now in rehabilitation and quilting through others and you are one of my favorites along with Lea Louise. Stay happy and keep on going
This is really amazing. The snowballing was applied in a unique and creative manner. It really adds so much visual movement and play to the whole project. And the wavy quilting echos that movement. Lovely!!! Thank for sharing this.
I finally had the time to watch your dream home video, the house looks beautiful and I like your hair too. Hope I can do the Christmas Quilt along next year. Yours looks beautiful.
Thank you! I am looking for new ideas to use scraps. I love the white corners in your quilt. It reminds me of butterflies. It Is winter where I am. Snow in the forecast so I am going through my scrap boxes.
I love this! I have many 2 1/2 “ strips in a box and should make this ! I’m in cold Michigan and am envious of your top you have on today. I have my insulated underwear on (🤭) and thermals because the dog still has to go out. The high Monday will only be 7 degree so I’ll be thinking of Australia’s beautiful weather! Thank you for all the fun and beautiful quilts you show us how to make! ❤
Very dramatic effect. I'm like you - I spend a lot of time trying to randomize my placement of strips/blocks. I am rarely successful lol! Great video. The snowball effect is very dramatic. Love it! 🇨🇦 ❤️
Lovely quilt watching it from a dull and wet Isle of Man. When I get my quilt room set up in my new (fixed up old house) it's one of the first projects I think I will try. Cake looked scrumptious. Can you join a quilting group in your new area to meet some new people at least you would have a common interest? When I move in properly to our new house I plan to join the local W. I. to meet some new people even though its not in my comfort zone.
Love the variety of fabrics and your arranging and rearranging them until satisfied. I usually let my arrangement sit overnight. Then evaluate it one more time. That fruit bread (cake?) looked wonderful too.

Hi Karen. What a difference snowballing the corners makes. A lovely combination of your strips. I finished making my first rag quilt tonight. Can't complete the process to fluff it up as my washing machine has beoken and the engineer hasnt received the two parts for it yet. It's been almost three weeks 😡 Your cake looks yummy too 💞
Karen! Hello pretty Lady! Your quilts always turn out so good! Scrap quilts are my favorite, but my scraps usually don't look so good in my scrap quilts. I've learned one thing though, just because scraps are small, if I don't like them before I add them, I'm still not going to like them mixed in with all the others! Thank you for your tips, and fun video's !! Helpful indeed!
I just made something similar using three sets of two 2.5” strips, and a black snowball . So my strips were cut 2.5” by 12.5”, and the snowballs were 4.5” square. Really fun and fast
Join me as I challenge myself to turn a pile of fabric scraps into a cozy quilt all in just one day!
