Simply put a guitar magician, no one writes better songs and then converts those lyrics into a live performance with those melodic guitar riffs, I'll die happy
Being said that this great extraordinary man and artist can be named only as The Shakespeare of music...you can't name him otherwise! Only he on earth, dared to make a rock song with the most famous work of William Shakespeare "Romeo and Juliet" and look at what he has produced; simply a masterpiece!
It has been a thing on his gigs for a long time (even in the Dire Straits era already). The crowd starts singing the 'Olé Olé'-song, then Mark and his band start jamming along with it for a short while. They don't do that all the time though.
Now I'm just telling the Truth. You spent the morning reading the newspapers, practically ALL MORNING. The others did too, D'Arcy, O'Neill, Cooper, Collopy, Nolan, ah! The lot of them, loadsa CROWS to count! Tell you what though, John Morrissey, Credit Risk Manager did work extremely hard. Too bad he got it all wrong, well perhaps he did know. He was good at the figure-out-work so he must have, he was just keeping in - not with me- but he was protecting D'Arcy and making sure of his Status Quo......for him, Shovlin and the rest.
Mark is 72 years old now and still going strong Bless him 💖 Thanks Miguel.💖
The best Love Song ever written.

The sound from the first couple of chords on that National - WOW! It's decided - I'm booking a 2nd date on the next tour! :)
I just bought a National and the sound is amazing, but no one can make it sing like Mark Knopfler.

The audience preferred the noise they made themselves to listening to the band!
