Please don’t cut your hair, you have beautiful hair. Locs are easy and less maintenance if that is the issue. Whatever you decide I am sure you are going to rock it. ❤
Yetunde, my dear You are not getting any younger hence it will take longer to grow. However, I do understand. Oga remember she has just given birth, hormones could also be playing a role. Besides, as a nursing mum the least of her problems is to be thinking about her hair. As far as Yetunde is concerned her hair would be one thing less to worry about. The only thing you guys need to pay attention to is if there are more internal psychological battles that she might be experiencing but finding it difficult to share. Oga brace yourself and support her. , I am not sure she will relent until she cuts it. You see, I can relate. About 4yrs ago when I wanted to cut my locks off. My hubby tried so hard to dissuade me but it did not work. When he realised that I was not ready to bulge he actually agreed with me.However, looking back I think I should have listened because the hair did not grow as I thought o. No capping o Yetunde, think it through. May God continue to guide you and protect your family. Amen.
Please don't cut the hair, please🙏 I can relate . . . Had my second child during the lockdown period, and I nearly considered it. Long story short. I'm still rocking my relaxed long hair(though i wear wigs in between...) I was able to scale through that period by the help of God.
Growing natural hair can be hell. My hair grows very fast. I cut my in 2020 when I lost my 11yrs old son. I started Growing it again and it has grown past my shoulder. It has been frustrating managing my natural hair. So 2 months ago I decided to lock it. The best decision ever. Please lock your hair. Love your family. Loyal fan ❤
I locked my hair because I figured it would be low-maintenance and easier to handle. Not really. You have to relock every 6 to 8 weeks and would have to be comfortable with looking rough for a long time until your locs mature. Please don't lock it if you're overwhelmed and tired of caring for your hair. It will stress you out with time if you're unprepared to care for your locs. I think you would rock a low cut, or you could try relaxing your hair. But the decision is still yours, tbh. Rooting for you, whatever you decide.
Yeti I understand you. I actually felt like you did 2years ago and i did cut it so cute and trust me i later started missing my long hairs and believe am on it again. My hair is long now but no so long as b4. So pls this is a decision you really need to think hard on. For me Please as dont cut your hair I loooovvvvvveeee seeing them. Pls YETTY baby o ejooooo
God bless your family ❤. Yetunde, not that I am telling you what to do but I suggest that you may consider doing dreadlocks as you have long natural hair and it will suit you. I wish it was something that I have ❤❤.
This is how I was feeling the whole of last year. I came to a point to either cut it or loc it. I booked my appointment and locked it 6weeks ago. So far I am happy I have not had to do anything to my hair since. Freedom
As a natural and fellow mum, i feel you. However, younknownif you were in Lagos, you have an abundance of stylists. This decision is based off emotions not necessarily logic. You'll be fine bald or full headed but you'll miss that look. Please this stage will pass oooo. Emma is right it will always be rash. Youre doing fina as a mum so far. We love you
You’d look beautiful either way, but your hair as is looks lovely! Why not try a blowout if you don’t want a full silk press? It’s easier to manage blowouts - can go a month or so. Your choice ultimately Yetty (and Emma, lol), but your natural hair is so beautiful 😊.
I have been considering cutting my hair long time ago and people keep saying don’t cut ur hair don’t cut ur hair, guess what last week I took my son out for his hair cut and cut my have , my 3years old son and I returned home with low haircut and my husband couldn’t believe. I love it I felt I should have cut my hair long time ago.
Pls go for dreads first. That gives you time to rethink. Im slaying my dreads right now, low mentainace, and you can do weave on, braids, etc, if you want sometimes.
I woke up at midnight a month ago and cut my two year locs because I was having a hard time washing it. I cut my hair because it was costly to braid it in the US. Also prior to cutting it, I have never cut my hair ever. Infact, my mom said she has never cut my hair as a kid. And I would always say I’m like Samson (no razor has ever touched my hair). I am 28, and just cut my hair to low cut (pretty low) for the first time. I’m also thinking of going to a men’s barber shop to shape it well, thst way, it can start growing pretty neat. Washing it is so easy. I wear wigs if I want to. Hope this can help her decide. @uncle Emma, the hair will definitely grow again, don’t worry.
I also wanted to cut my hair totally but hubby refused. So i trimmed it a bit and now I've decided to lock it. Maybe you can try locking your hair and see how you feel about it before cutting it off totally
I relaxed my hair for 3years, loc'ed it for about 6months, cut it for a little over a year and I've been growing my natural hair since. The latter is my best hair experience! Before I cut my hair, I was so irritated and wanted to just get rid of my hair. It was kinda rushed but I needed that at the time. To enhance my feminine appearance, I decided to grow back my hair and keep it natural. My hair grows really fast so relaxing it was not a good idea at the time, since I wanted something low maintenance.
As a new mom, I understand the whole not having enough time on your hands to make everyone look good, at least I don’t. Cutting my hair took a major load off. I cut the good old Anita baker basically cause hubby won’t allow skin like I did when I had my first son… so Yetti meet him halfway Abeg… we r begging.
Try faux locs then if you love them actually loc your hair. I cut my hair and regretted it because it was actually more maintenance unless you know how to do it yourself.
Yetunde, why not get locs?! Cute medium size locs. Best decision ever especially after having my 2nd child. Low maintenance, you will save tons of money, you still can do cute hairstyles and your hair will thrive!
Darling do what is convenient for you.Thank God you have lovelyhair that can always grow back.I have worn low cut for so many years. My case is different in the sense that it doesn't grow fast.I applied so many things & was still not giving me the desired result, so I just cut it & entered my peace. You can cut it now if it is not convenient & grow it again when you have time. Either long or short hair, you are an admirable lady & I love & appreciate you.
I felt free when i cut off my hair but the freedom made it difficult to regrow. I kept postponing for years! Eventually, i regrew it for a few month then cut off again. Same cycle for several years. Its harddddddd to decide to regrow it. The choice ultimately is urs. So sorry mr emma if she decides to finally cut it but its her decision to make.
I relaxed my hair and it didn't turn out great so after many back and forth I decided to cut it. 😂 Of a truth the beauty of a woman lies in her hair people say I look good but omo I can't wait to grow my natural hair back o. I don't regret it cos the relaxed hair had to go
Hmmm...if you are sure you won't regret it, why not? Your hair is beautiful sha o. 4 years ago, I chopped off my long hair and have not looked back since. I do not want long hair any more.😅
Please don't cut it but like your husband said, Please you can loc it. I can relate, with the child care, you can get tired of hair instead just loc it
Options: silk press, hair dye, or locs. If you want to do any of the aforementioned or not please cut your hair. Maintaining natural hair is a sport so please do it as long it makes you happy. Plus it's sth I'm gonna do in my 30s! ❤❤
Sometimes we get tired of something and just want to switch up looks I totally understand her, she's a mom of 2 and Aunty Yetunde we know cares so much about her hair, so since she can't take care of them right now, she can cut them off but she can also get a pixie cut I'm admiring her already She will look so beautiful Don't worry sir
I was once there. I made that decision over and over again. Asked my friends. Las las, I still do wetin dey my mind. And I'm happy mehn It can be really hard and frustrating and expensive to maintain natural hair. It is easier with a cut hair to style, wear different wigs as you like and adopt different characters. Whatever you decide, we dey your back!
😄 I’m not a fan of relaxers although I love the look it gives hair. Just used to get relaxers many years ago, and I don’t enjoy having to wrap my hair to go bed and the overall maintenance is wahala
I perfectly understand you Yeti, I used to have long hair like yours and I cut it off and I have never regretted it. I know I’m in no place to tell you what to do, lock it and cut it and keep it for future use.
It’s the reality when you’re a busy mum. I did the same, one less thing to worry about. and recovered gradually after 6yrs. Still haven’t gone back to wearing jewellery
Hey Yetunde, you have a considerable husband. However, if your gut tells you to cut it, do you😊😊😊. We get where you're coming from, you're a busy mum now, not enough time to invest with your hair or looking after your beautiful hair ❤.
Please don’t cut your hair, you have beautiful hair. Locs are easy and less maintenance if that is the issue. Whatever you decide I am sure you are going to rock it. ❤
Yetunde, my dear

It is one of the copping mechanism for some mums, give her a good hug and encouragement. She needs more support now than ever.
I support Yetunde but at the same time I feel for Emmanuel 😂😂😂
Please don't cut the hair, please🙏
I can relate . . . Had my second child during the lockdown period, and I nearly considered it.
Long story short. I'm still rocking my relaxed long hair(though i wear wigs in between...) I was able to scale through that period by the help of God.
You really tried! I just want something different
God will continue to bless your family. Aunty yetunde please don't cut your hair oooo😢😢
You are so beautiful ma
Please ma ❤❤❤❤
She shouldn’t even try it🙄🙄🙄🙄
Ehn??? Abeg o

I am at that point, Yetunde! Considering cutting my hair too but nervous about stress of growing it back. So I’ll read through the comments 😁😊

Sister lock is low maintenance and your hair has a very good density for sister lock
I admire your hair so much but I know the feeling of wanting it all out…so do it

Truuuueeee😂😂😂 Yetunde,if you go on low cut you have wear accessories...that way,you get to balance your look.
Looking at her I think she will slay it. But ask for the picture of what she looked like the last time she cut it
God bless your family ❤. Yetunde, not that I am telling you what to do but I suggest that you may consider doing dreadlocks as you have long natural hair and it will suit you. I wish it was something that I have ❤❤.

Don't cut your hair
How about yetunde relax her hair, makes it easier for her to style it on her own
She has a very good skull shape that will suit the low hair cut… I’m definite she would look great on it
Why nau
Please don't 😢
Please don't, i cut mine last year and i regret it
Don’t cut your hair!!!!!

Oh! it's normal for us in this age group to feel that way. I'm 34 and I've shaved. I'm a mom of w boys and doing hair is not my priority now.

Aww, and I love her hair so much oo
Hmmm...if you are sure you won't regret it, why not? Your hair is beautiful sha o.
4 years ago, I chopped off my long hair and have not looked back since. I do not want long hair any more.😅

It can be really hard and frustrating and expensive to maintain natural hair. It is easier with a cut hair to style, wear different wigs as you like and adopt different characters.

No! I reject and i rebuke this!! Her hair is not her glory!!! Christ is her glory. So with or without her hair, her glory is intact! Forever.

It’s the reality when you’re a busy mum. I did the same, one less thing to worry about. and recovered gradually after 6yrs. Still haven’t gone back to wearing jewellery
