I'm so glad that Yakuza/Like A Dragon is still getting the Likeness for actors for character's, it was so good, though, it is a little weird to see someone else in Japanese voice Dwight haha
Honestly I'm sure they could have gotten away with using more English VAs so some of the characters but that might mess with Japanese development if the Japanese part is all done in Japan. But I don't know how they do the different localizations but they used a good mix of English and Japanese for the Japanese version to show off the language barrier.
Im sure they could have gone the tekken route if they really wanted where everyone speaks their natuve language or if they are fluent in multiple, be bilingual in game. @@taco8951
As a Japanese person, I always feel a sense of discomfort when I hear the famous Japanese actors from the Yakuza series speaking in different voices in English. lol

@@TheBladez190 Yakuza 3 had characters speaking in english already even the in world dialogue is in english when youre walking around Hawaii. I wish they would've used him in the sub too tho. But then nobody would have a reason to play the shitty dub. lol

I love Danny, especially with where he came from and how he got into all this in the first place, doesn't half fit and super guy. Playing in Japanese though has been a bit weird with it been in America and the voices constantly mixing 😂

Yakuza games budget is small and goes away fast on mandatory stuff. They can't afford Dwayne even in a dream ...
They got Trejo solely because he is a low tier "actor".
All the actors in these games are less known some are not even actors at all and many are more like cameo appearances.
Unless you are willing to pay millions for a single character outside of your own pocket, if not then stop asking for unrealistic things.

Man Danny Trejo did this character well but ever since this game was out I'm like really confused as to how Danny Trejos voice is not in English if you put this game in Japanese and also Roman too but a lot of the NPCs in Hawaii speck English if the game is set for Japanese because there from America so it should make sense for Roman and Dwight to be specking English and not in Japanese

The literal translation of it sounds stupid. I'm still calling it Yakuza. But with Kasuga as the new protagonist, this is more like Yakuza, Chunibyo and Other Delusions. Because Kasuga still has chunibyo in him from playing so many RPG video games such as Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy 7. Like he's Cloud, Saeko is Tifa, Chitose is Yuffie, and Seong-hee is Aerith.
