Nightmare on Elm Street's Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare in 1991, the sixth movie, and then they kept on making them. Horror franchises need to stop calling movies the last one when they know it's going to keep going on and on and on.

Saw 7 is still the ending of John's whole story in its original form. Literally every movie after has held up the biggest moment in the series instead of retconning it like a lot of movie series would. John hasn't came back from the dead, we're just seeing older games he's player or others imitating him. I don't see what's so bad about it if the story holds up, especially because we know he hosted games off screen. Its not like with Freddy and Jason and when you look back, those were supposed to be final movies, the next ones in those series were crossovers and/or reboots.

I have no taste for these kinds of movies but I can see why they're liked so we'll. I do like the action flicks and horror etc and I don't even mind a sequel - but damn, do we really need an anthology??? And if so, why does it have to be this kind of $#!t.???
