I remember the first week that i got my bass, every time before start practicing i wash my hands and the bass
why do i just imagine a person running their bass thru water like😭😭
Lol im surprised i didn't do the same
Bro same I was so protective of that thing
@@jemurbean yep, at the 2 or 3 weeks my bass doesnt work anymore, the problem was rust on the some wires by water.
Now its alright
@@Elviolaperrosmuertos i thought you just wiped it abit not run the damn thing through water 😭
most actual guitarist treat their guitar with more respect than themselves or so ive heard
Im a dommy mommy with my guitar, i treat it harsh but i love it :3
@@sleepingkittystar9067 a dommy mommy to your guitar
thats one way to say it
@@real_moment im jus cute like dat :3
as a guitarist, that's right (at least for me)
Yep, I've had my guitar for 4 years and I still treat it like I did after a week
at this point i think i love my guitar more than myself
REAL!!!!

Real
Same.
FR. like the only people that I allow to touch mine is my gutair teacher.
i refuse to let anything happen to my guitar. it’s too pretty😭
Which one do you gave? 😅 Curious now
@@dhairiyasundar1285 ESP Viper
The first scratch is certainly the worst...
My guitars all have their signs of wear and tear, but they do add to the story 😎👍
Same but it's not about mine being pretty (even though it is), it's more that I just really love it and play it every day and if would really suck to have to buy a new one when mines fine
I’ve treated my guitar like on day one for years. It gives me so much in return it deserves respect
I lay mine up against the wall or furniture until i switch guitars, and mine treats me exactly the same as any other inanimate object.
lmao i understand what u mean bruv the dude above my comments a hater, u get it...even tho i am just like the guy in the vid now
@@domlosurdo3432Fax
@@domlosurdo3432fair. My guitar is expensive and fancy so I will baby it the entire time I own it
I've had the same guitar since for 20 years, the first guitar I've ever had. I treat her rough because she likes it that way.
Not me placing it badly on the wall and doing a backwards karate kick when I hear it sliding about to fall💀
I think the guitar would be better off just falling
I relate to this too much
Haha relate
This is the one.
Honestly when i hear it falling i run at light speed to grab the neck when it wasnt even gonna fall 💀
I dreamed of my first electric guitar for a long time, and for the first month, every time after playing, I gave a gentle kiss to the body of the guitar
You treat your new stuff very gently until you know the durability or get bored to treat them like a princess
I was looking for second hand guitar on the internet and I found one with description from the owner saying "I cared about it better than about my fiance"
Dang. i don't wanna know how he got rid of his fiance. 😔

My guitar actually just stays next to me on my bed, mostly because I don’t have a girlfriend. I’m also really lazy and don’t like to put it up when I’m done so on the bed it stays. I sure do love my guitar. I wish I had a girlfriend tho
Same
100% relate
bro, this is too true
Same bro 😂 except it took her place but apparently she doesn’t mind.
As long as i play with her too…
Bro stole my words
i never threw my guitar like this guy did.....its been more than 4 yrs and i still treat it the same way i did on my first day.....musicians are the most protective and possessive over their instruments...they know how to respect ❤
Frrrr
My (classical) guitar still get the 1 day treatment, and I bought her in 2007.
Going on 36 years, 2 albums (back in the 90s) and 100's of songs written on my acoustic. Still treat it like day 1.
What are the albums called?
Soundtrack to Groundhog Day and Soundtrack to Groundhog Day@@static6OOO
@static6OOO it was the 90s. Bro forgot
Sir, album name please

It’s been 3 years and I be throwing it out the window

Dear Guitar,
I worked hard for my guitar, I love my guitar. I put it together myself. It is my dream guitar. I play it every day and clean it everytime I am done playing. Everytime I look at it, it makes me happy and I fantasize about being a rockstar with my guitar. I hope to go many places with my guitar.
I love my guitar

I've had my nylon string Cordoba since I was 13. Each and every morning, I wipe it down with a clean article of clothing until not one speck of dust is left. I then line it up parallel with its case against the wall along with the rest of my guitars.
I then proceed to play like Nirvana for the rest of the day until the process repeats over again..🤘🤘
Ayeee I just bought my first cordoba online and been dying for it to arrive; I can’t wait to play it
I’ve had my guitar for 4 years and I still treat it the same as day 1.
Cause thats how you should treat a fine lady. Same.
@@bahrealLmao, I found this video to be quite accurate. I used to do this 15 years ago when I sucked cuz I thought it would sound better and I was broke. Now that I have a music degree and I’m an adult idgaf cuz it’s gonna sound good either way
Had mine for 20 years. Part of me is like "Hurry up and get relic'd and look cool" while the other part gently puts it down on the stand.
@@FunnyDolphin782 damn bro made it about himself
No way, they're my babies, i do not abuse children!😂
I do.
@kishinslayer2228 sicko , you need therapy, and all your guitars need to be seized. No worries, I'll foster them for you, 🤣🤣🤣 until you're able to regain custody
That's why I conceal carry.
Can you make one for me
Same.
My dad plays Guitar since he was a young adult and he always treats his Guitars like it's holy, he also performs on them and 1 of the Guitars he has is an acoustic one which he bought in a store in Spain where they sold the best Guitars of whole of Spain, they were all famous in Spain for it ofcourse and my dad did not know at first because he just entered the most random around the corner tiny Guitar shop, which was their very first shop where they started I believe,
Lucky him.
after a year, i still handle my guitar the same way i did at the first day… and i'm sure in 10 years there will have nothing changed
I was so careful with my guitar until I accidentally knocked it onto the floor and got a big chip in the finish one day. I always thought I’d be upset to damage it, but honestly it was a relief. Didn’t feel like I had to worry about being so careful with it anymore now that it was already banged up.
lmao i feel that way about a lot of things… i get so worried about damaging them & then once the first dent or scratch is there it’s like oh thank god i can relax
already...banged up? 🤨😏🤭🤤🥵
@@stormyenglish_23 I’m a fiend for that guitussy
@@MarkToast99 😦😩 not the guitussy.. youre almost as bad as the guy in this comment section that slept with his guitar for 3 days because he was too 'happy'/ 'excited' 💀
@@stormyenglish_23 Haha I almost slept with mine only because I didn't get up immediately to return it to its usual spot. I look after mine despite not having as much interest as other instruments but I'm spending more time playing it lately.
i definitely cherish every single guitar i have. its like cars to me. never enough and each has a place in my heart
So well put! Also same i only have one car but i love it and theres many i wish i could have haha
I treat my guitars better then I treat my vehicle. But I have 3 acoustic guitars, 2 of those aren't really expensive but those were given to me. they belonged to people that are not here anymore.
I got an old Silverstone from a yardsale, from late 60s early 70s that had damage before I try to keep going and keep it playing. I have an Electric first act think its a 537, with a upgraded pickup, from a friend of mine who got it from an ex who somehow obtained a used one and gave it to my friend out the blue, but he dont play an electric. So He didnt play it an gave it to me when she left him. He is a banjo, folk guitar type player, so I was more than happy to take that electric off his hands. But all my guitars are somewhat special to me in some way.. so I try to treat them well.
I'm not going off road in some woods risking damage to a guitar, and coving it in mud an who knows what. .
I treat my guitar with probably as much love and respect as I do for my own children lol I would never do this. I tend to take VERY good care of anything I've spent alot of money on and really cherish and gives me joy
Yea it can end up getting tuning issues if people mistreat their guitar
Me, watching this basically lying down on the keyboard I cleaned every day a year ago:
I just throw it up against the wall, but I still freak out when they fall over. Especially my first aucustic - my baby
My first acoustic has bite marks on it from me having mental breakdowns while practicing.

a year and a half and i still treat my guitars as the most fragile thing
Mine goes on the rack with the rest.
They clean it once a year at the shop when I get er serviced. Dog knocked it over 10 years ago and broke off the pointy bits 🤷♀️still sounds and plays like a dream. 🎸✨
It's been 1.5 years and I still treat my guitar the way treated on the first day
"it puts strain on the neck!" I'll put strain on your neck. It's my guitar.
Like it matters that much with the possible hundreds of pounds of force the strings put on the neck depending on the guitar
Hey, some ppl dont brush their teeth. Doesnt bother me much cuz i dont buy used teeth.
This is me in my teens and early 20's. I take better care of mine now. My main guitar needs a deep clean and new strings, now that i think about it
7 years and I still lock it up in my hardcover case every time
It's been 3 years and now I sleep next to it 😂😂😂,
I wake up and start playing
It's been 6yrs but I'm still in the one month stage
edit : thanks for the likes 🙏(400 likes ??!!!💀)
same but I'm 7 yrs training
5 years still at day 1)
How's the action? Fucked? Yeah, I know. Stop leaning the neck against things.
its more like we just love and respect our investments in our instruments and they become special
give it a dent, and you'll love it less.
you'll be surprised about your bass throwing abilities that you thought it was never exist
I bought my first Taylor few month ago and I still treat it like the biggest treasure of mine 😭😭😭
Literally same; I keep mine in the case whenever I’m not using it
Yep same
I visited my stepdad's house for a housewarming party once and his wife has a Taylor guitar that she let me play and I was near terrified to even place it on my lap wrong.
@@mehaxeThat’s a *really* good thing to do with an acoustic guitar. If they’re stored outside their case and you live in a climate where humidity fluctuates throughout the year, the risk of a cracked body, warped neck, and other major issues is a lot higher. Keeping it inside its case helps stabilize those fluctuations and will keep your guitar playing well for a lot longer.
@@400_billion_suns Oh, absolutely. I really want to make this guitar a familial heirloom of a sort in the future, so doing a bunch of research about
basic maintenance was the first thing I did!
Bro am I the only guitarist who even after four years of playing still keeps hi guitar in a nice and safe cover like a newborn baby
I have never stopped treating my guitar with care in the 10 plus years Ive been playing seriously, you take care of it and it will give you years of enjoyment and mega frustration !
I value and love all my guitars.
They are precious to m3.
Don't forget to look after yourself, James. You are precious too.
Wth so wholesome
That last one hurt to watch 💀
Spoken like a TRUE GUITARIST.
if you don't feel that pain and involuntarily look away , you're not a real guitarist
so relatable bro ☠️
I actually got scared that would happen to my guitar everytime I see him throw it I think let’s hope that don’t happen to mine I dropped my guitar one time and now I’m more cautious what could happen
This 1st day treat to his guitar 🎸 This is the treatment I gave my guitar even after 5 months 😂
the way you played at the end is how i always play my guitars, new or not. they will feel every strum
Many years, and I still wipe it down with a microfiber after and make sure it’s all in working order. I treat my guitar with incredible respect, I’ve only ever found 2-3 on the internet, it’s rare, but special to me
Thats the way! why would i treat my instrument like shit?!
I wish I could upload an image I took of all my instruments leaning on my dresser. Just waiting for one guitar to topple over the others causing a domino effect 😂
It’s been like 6 years and I still don’t do the end
It's been 2 years, will be 3 years the next month (I got it as a bday gift) and I'm still at the one month stage 😂
It's been 1h 23minutes since my high e string broke 😢😂
its been months and i still treat it like a little baby ☹️
The first guitar I brought brand new … still looks brand new 12 years later and it’s been played and gigged a lot 😂
The dust on that guitar case was proof you don't use it 😂 love that
Guitarists after one year: treat their guitar like how Pete Townshend would
Had my relatively cheap guitar for over 2 years now, still not a single scratch on it and still care it the way I did when it was week 1
The first ding breaks your heart by the 3rd ding there's nothing left to break
that guitar throw was personal
As a guitarist i keep my guitar safe in its bag because i respect the people's worked on my guitar .
I’ve been playing guitar for 5 years and I still treat it like it’s the first day 😂
The dust on the guitar case says it all 😂
My guitar hasnt been in its case for years. I use the case for dirty laudry now .
That is a good thing cause you can’t play the guitar in the case 😂😂😂
you gotta relic it
Nooooo!
I received my guitar from my grandpa after he passed away a few years ago so I treat it with as much respect as I treated him with as much as I possibly could
I’ve had both of my guitars for years and I’m still on day one, back into the case when finished.
I like my guitars a lil beat up. I show up for a sesh and people are like, why's that not in a case? 🤣
Jimi Hendrix be like:
I am glad that even after 4 years I keep my guitar like the 1st day after playing it..❤
It hurt when the guitar started sliding and it hurt even more when he just yeeted it
Not True
I almost had a heart attack when the guitar started sliding down the box
Correct. I do not even play the guitar until 1 year in.
after 1 year I still treat my guitar like for the first days
bro I've had a guitar for almost 3 years now and I still treat it like a new born baby
I bought my first guitar today and i promise i will treat it precious always no matter how old it will become 💗💗💗
As a person who just got their guitar, you got me completely on the edge of my seat towards the end
You’re insane bro I treat my guitar like a baby and feel physical pain when it gets bumped
the longer i have my instruments the more emotionally attached i get to them so i treat them better lol
I’ve been playing for 4 years and I still wash my hands before I play and always make sure it’s in a good spot. My guitar is my first baby
Someone told me not to hang a guitar up by the neck. I was like have you ever seen a guitar store!
5 years:
Throws it out the window😂
Soo true😂 I did the same thing now it's been 2 years that I'm playing the guitar and yes I do the same thing 😂😂😂
After 4 years of practicing, I still treat it like it was 1 week😊
I like how in the "1 day" scenario it's clearly hanging on the wall in the background :)
That throw after 1year was personal😢😂
Been playing for about 3 months and I still treat it like day 1
It went from a guitar holder to the floor in a 5 year span.
I love guitar so much 🥰
From underdog to big dog and im all here for it
I’ve been playing since 1977 and I always treat my guitars, amps, bables and amps with great care.
Once you have a humidity crack on a expensive guitar you learn to always treat your guitar like day 1
When he threw it I gasped loudly and looked away instantly😢😢 the pain I felt
Been 3 months and i still treat my guitar like week 1, always praise your instrument.
Been 7 months and i want to throw that shit in the trash can.

after 14 years I still treat my guitars like day 1. I know I cant replace them.
My guitar just lays on my bed until I find a new song to play, it’s literally right next to me right there cause I don’t have anything else to do with a mf queen sized bed 😭
I've had my guitar for 7 years, but I still treat it like it was a month. I audibly gasped when I saw him just yeet the guitar lmao
It been 3 1/2 months that I’ve had my electric guitar and I still treat it well
12 years later, and I'm still washing my hands everytime before playing, and treating it as well as I possibly can.
Guitar still looks like it's new brand new.
Though I suspect perhaps because I've got a classical guitar, it's a bit more of a requirement than it is for e-guitars
That throw was PERSONAL 😭💀 But honestly I respect that guitar more than I respect myself 💀
As a person who just bought their first guitar yesterday the throw at the end killed me
It’s been a year and I still wash my hands before playing it
I’m not gonna even try to count the amount of times my strat headstock has whacked the wall at full speed
Twenty five years in folks and I find guitars i forgot about when cleaning
Been ten years with my Ibanez mtm2. I still treat it with love and hesitate to let my friends take it for their jam sessions.
23 years into playing guitar and i dont even tune it before playing anymore. Idc i know what it would sound like and thats good enough for me.
the way you were treating it 1 month in is how i always treat my guitar
