- In this video, Josh explains the technology behind our Ultimate Brake and Drivetrain Cleaner (Step 1). We recommend starting your bicycle cleaning and maintenance with this powerful (but with less harmful chemicals) brake and drivetrain cleaner that will not harm your wax based products, paints, and components. But it does have a little bit of magic when it turns a deep red.

Josh could sell bags of ice to the Eskimos. He makes drinking the Kool Aide a healthy, environmentally beneficial activity. I’m a good customer.
You should try to make degreaser to remove factory grease or oil from the chain, cassette chainrings etc... before waxing. Obviously you need to remove these thing from your bike to clean it.
If this doesn't damage the wax coating on the chain then take my money.
Used this to clean old cassettes, thick packed on grease just fell off. I’ve never seen anything do that.
Is this designed to strip Synergistic lube from the chain when we do deep cleans? I don't want to take the chain off every few weeks to degrease... quick link$ add up!
Is this okay to spray directly onto a bearing cartridge? Pulled my cassette off with the free hub body and figure I’d clean it out and re-grease it. Sprayed it, let it sit, and completely rinsed it out… but it wasn’t until I read more about this was definitely something I should not do
I didn't hear anything in the video about brake cleaning (it mainly focused on drive train cleaning): is this cleaner appropriate for both rim and disc brakes? Is it safe for brake pads?
Is Silca Bicycle Spa compatible with paints with ceramic coating?
i wanted to purchase but are these products sold out already or did i not look in the right place? could you include a purchase link perhaps? big thanks, peace...
For using to clean a chain, would you simply spray it on, or would there be a benefit in using something like a chain scrubber with a reservoir? Also, any reason to remove the wheels to clean the rotors/cassette with this? Cheers
👌👍😀
Does the brake and drivetrain cleaner work well to clean the chain between SS drip waxwings ?
Is there a video using it on brakes? Do you spray the entire caliper and also the rotor? Just try not to hit the wheel hubs? Thanks.
Is this stuff environmentally friendly?
Can you use it to clean disc brake pads and pistons seals?
