@420rgb2 2 you mean “muir” (sea) I accept my comment probably not the best written description I like to keep things light instead of writing fucking novels in comment sections, the name certainly does originate from the town/area Moray which had heavy Viking influence along the coast and in most of the coastal towns. Some history states Murray simply originated from how people in Scotland would say Moray and it changed over time. This isn’t true it was in fact a family dispute and a break away from Moray. Where does 420grb22 originate from? Tiktok? That many versions of the history and origins unless you have a time machine we will just have to disagree 👍
You ever heard of freskin? His descendants TOOK the name of moray after he subdued the unruly natives for David I. Freskin was flemish. Most likely married into one of the ancient moray mormaer families. (You're welcome).
