Phil was the "Grand Plaquero" for a historical society we're in called E Clampus Vitus. We plaque a lot of sites in Nevada. Phil was in charge of keeping track of those monuments. If you're looking for good sites to visit, I'd highly recommend looking up ECV plaques. Just can't beat the local passion of a drinking historical society (or a historical drinking society, take your pick)

Yeah a year later and I'm first seeing this and hearing the vibrato in your voice I know what it feels like to hurt when you're trying to speak about someone. Trust me bro there's something better on the other side for the good ones..
I'm as cynical as you but I know the universe cannot punish us. I refuse to believe that this testing ground that we are currently on does not reward us at the end. No maybe that's my judeo Christian background but I'm as much of an atheist can possibly be but that scared as I am of the other side because I don't know. I want to truly believe that there is something better on the other side.
When I lost my first & only son (26 months) over 10 years ago, the only thing people can say is I'm sorry for your loss and nothing that people say can ever ever ever be enough. Everything happens for a reason my ass. I feel you and I'm glad that you're using the adversity as fuel not cynicism or procrastination. Thank you for all that you do and thank you now for the future videos and future books all your future productions I will be supporting them Joe.

Hey quick question, you mentioned the Indians, part of the posse, shot the body of the dead outlaw. Was there any mention of why they might have done so? I have a few theories: maybe religious implications like thinking he was a wendigo, or maybe they blamed him for the continuing violence between the two groups. However, this is just speculation on my part.
Anyways, great video, and sorry for your loss.

I’d have to say the underlying causes of the Paiute killings vs the 10/1 shooting were very, very different, if not complete opposites.

Those Indians sound like really cool dudes.
Although I love history, I can never become a historian, I’m just too biased on many the things taught in history.

CH, if you want to do more research vis a vis Indians, how about taking on Alternative Hypothesis' recent video denying the genocide of Indians? I get if you don't want to even acknowledge him but it'd be interesting to see an actual video on it.

I'm sorry to hear about your woes with the colossally pathetic twits at YT. They should get out of the ad business - instead - creators should be expected to get advertising or revenue and then YT can take a cut (agreed upon in a contract betwixt creator and YT) to cover the costs of their operations . . . they are a platform _not_ a publisher . . .
