Relieved when you mentioned it runs long on the toe box. Im used to the Pro 3s and those are snug as hell. These on the other hand fits a lot different. I guess it will take getting used to.
Short window for recovery protein appears to be a myth, given recent studies (which I'm too lazy to cite here). But love the content and there's no harm in having it right away!
thank you! and yeah my general rule of thumb is to get the carbs in right away to replenish glycogen stores and then i can wait as long as 2 to 3 hours if needed for the solid meal with the protein. for me i notice the biggest difference in immediate recovery (i.e., mood and energy) if i get the carbs in within 20 to 30 minutes post-run. that's why i love the tailwind recovery mix - it has carbs, fat and protein
It gets better as you run in it i about 100-150 in mine most runs are aerobic with some strides and hill sprints haven’t really opened it up in them yet
I have to do a runners knot with my Adidas Duramo Speed. The upper looks very similar to this. The heel is lower than other shoes and i have to really lace carefully to zap heal lift
Once you figure lacing it is great! You need at least 20km to break them... the longer your run is the better it gets... really awsome shoe, i love it!
thanks for the tip! i went for a 14 miler this weekend in these and i saw the appeal a little bit more at the beginning of the run. i faded towards the end but it's my fault not the shoes lol
I’ve owned a pair for a month now. It gets softer as it breaks in in a good way. I’m still unable to get the perfect lockdown without suffering lace bite. Any suggestions are appreciated. It’s a good shoe.
One of the other commenters mentioned he fixed it by getting regular (softer) laces from Amazon. Might be worth a try for solving that lace bite for you. You can even switch in laces from an older pair of shoes
I have the Boston 12, it is fantastic but the last is quite big, I recommend ordering half a size smaller and even a size smaller if your foot is thin or normal, the tongue is short and very thin,
i never ran in the first versions of the speed but from my understanding they had a bit more of that "snap" feeling from the plate combined with the bouncy peba. the boston 12 is less of a quick snap and more of a controlled steady bounce - much more planted than how i've heard the speed 1/2 described
Like this style of video - with outdoor footage
thank you! i'll be doing more like this
Lovely colourway ❤

Feeling wise the protein “+” carbs brings me back to life esp on those tough work outs & gets recovery on the roll💪
I am going to buy another pair in half a size less, however the shoe is fantastic, light with great response and long lasting.

Nice good to know. It was definitely a bit stiff especially in the heel area on that first run

yeah this was a tricky one to lace. thanks for the tip
Have you ever tried mcalpine creek greenway? It has a great 5k course as well as miles of greenway
Yeah I love that greenway! The stretch in the center is great for doing intervals since it's so flat. Just gotta avoid the goose poop near the pond 😂

Lockdown was awful for me as well. I purchased normal laces of Amazon and it fixed any issues
Thanks for the tip. May have to try that out

yeah i'm glad i didn't size up like i had planned to. the fit is quite generous
Where are your favorite run spots in charlotte, i'm always looking for more. The greenway is nice!
Love that cyan color way
My favorite colorway of the year
Is that hidden valley in Charlotte??
Like you the Endorphin Speed 3 does feel soft to me. I much preferred the Speed 1 and 2. Is the Boston 12 at all similar to the Speed 1/2?

Did you toast your bagels in the oven? No toaster?
Yeah I need to ask Santa for a new toaster. I've had two break in the past year 😩
