Adam Sandler: 50 First Dates; Anger Management; and The Wedding Singer. Other great comedies: Ruthless People; The Sure Thing; Better Off Dead; Bill Murray and Gina Davis in Quick Change.
Adam Sandler gets a TON of hate these days but this era of Sandler is just pure gold. This, Billy Madison, Big Daddy, Wedding Singer, all excellent movies.
I remember randomly tuning into the Price is Right one day. As they were coming back from commercial, the entire audience was going nuts cheering hooting and hollering. Bob Barker resumed the show but the audience wasn't stopping. He stopped and started laughing "For those at home... While we were on break the entire crowd pressured me into a reenactment of my famous movie scene." 🤣
I thought I should mention that the tall actor with the nail in his head, Richard Kiel, had previously appeared in a certain movie franchise you've been looking at on this channel. He appeared as a villain, Jaws, in the James Bond movies "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Moonraker", which were made when Roger Moore was 007.
Bob Barker was the best cameo! "The price is wrong, b*tch!" This is my favorite Adam Sandler movie outside of "The Wedding Singer." That's a crazy one too.
Fun Fact: Bob Barker is a black belt in karate and was trained by Chuck Norris and his brother Aaron. He volunteered to fight Adam Sandler in their scene together in Happy Gilmore.
Yes, Billy Madison would be a great next Adam Sandler movie. Along with Happy Gilmore and Waterboy, those three are probably the most iconic and timeless Sandler movies. Big Daddy and Wedding Singer are also great.
"That guy's scary, like a male Nurse Ratchet..." 🤣🤣🤣 Ben Stiller plays a great villain and needs to do so more often! For an early but great villainous Ben - Heavyweights
Sandler plays a variation of the same type of character in every single movie. He's always either a man-child of some sort or someone that used to be one. As a result, when he takes on a serious role he's an excellent actor by sheer virtue of experience. There was even talk of getting an Oscar for one of his latest movies, Uncut Gems.
the homeless caddy is played by Alan Covert. he shows up in almost all of Adam Sandler's early movie. he also wrote and starred in an incredibly funny movie called 'Grandma's Boy'
There actually is a cut for the movie that Happy beats up the Ben Stiller character. It was the TV version if I remember correctly but you can find the scene on UA-cam.
Always happy to see anything that makes Jen smile! This is probably my favourite Sandler movie, but Wedding Singer and Anger Management are good times too 😁
Bob Barkers neighbor was Chuck Norris who trained him for decades. He even earned a black belt. Barker agreed to be in the movie, but he had to win the fight. I think that makes the movie much better.
It's been a little while, but the guy yelling "Jackass!" had a small part in another movie you've watched on here. Joe Flaherty was in "Back to the Future Part II" as the Western Union man who gave Marty the letter in the rain.
The big guy with the nail in his head is Richard Kiel. You will see him as one of the most iconic (and creepiest!) James Bond villains as Jaws, in The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker.
If you haven't seen Billy Madison or the Waterboy yet those are great too. Loved this reaction Jen it's a pleasure to hear you laugh and enjoy these types of movies
When I was a kid a VHS of Happy Gilmore mysteriously appeared at our house and I watched it so many times. It'll always be my favorite Adam Sandler movie
Great reaction to Happy Gilmore!( Little footnote, since you are making your way through the Bond films; the "Nail Guy" plays one of the more famous Bond villans which you will see in the Moore-era) My fav Adam Sandler movie is the Wedding Singer, which is what I would suggest. Rom-com full of 80's nostalgia w/Sandler humor. Think it would be right up your alley, Jen
"He's a man-child!" Adam Sandler's best brand of comedy! The era of Sandler movies/cameos from his time on SNL (90-95) to the end of the century are all pretty great. Underrated picks from the era are Bulletproof (with Damon Wayans) and Airheads (with Brendan Fraser and Steve Buscemi). Post 2000, I only really enjoy him in cameos, Punch Drunk Love, and Anger Management. For my favorite Sandler cameo - Dirty Work, with the late great Norm MacDonald
Hey Jen, "Happy Gilmore" is definitely my top Adam Sandler film but an extremely close second, and the next film I'd like you to react to is "The Wedding Singer" (1998 - an absolute 80s blast!). Along with these: "The Waterboy" (1998); "Billy Madison" (1995); "Big Daddy" (1999); "50 First Dates" (2004); "The Longest Yard" (2005); "Anger Management" (2003); and a tie between "Mr. Deeds" (2002) and "Click" (2006). Another great comedy film that he produced but doesn't star in is "The House Bunny" (2008) which always leaves me in stitches! That needs to be on your list too. Ben Stiller's role was definitely a great side character for the film. "It's all in the hips." 😄😄 📽❤️
Hi Jen I'm going to give a less common Adam Sandler comedy suggestion The movie Click from 2006 It's funny and even heartwarming Definitely worth watching. Christopher Walken, Henry Winkler and Kate Beckinsale are a few others staring in it. Happy Gilmore is a fun movie. However I don't think they should have killed off Chubbs One of my favoritelines is "You're gonna die clown" it hilarious 😂 Like many this movie was filmed in Vancouver BC and surrounding areas. The funny scene where Happy and Bob Barker got into a fistfight was filmed at Furry Creek Golf and Country Club, located along the Sea to Sky Highway not far from Squamish BC
"Airheads" for sure, with Sandler, Steve Buscemi, Brendan Fraser, Judd Nelson, Michael McKean, Harold Ramis, Chris Farley, Ernie Hudson and David Arquette among other actors. Even a cameo from Lemmy!
Happy Gilmore is an all-time comedy classic, I loved seeing your reaction. Little Nicky, Waterboy, and Don’t Mess With the Zohan are all underrated super funny Sandler flicks, but Uncut Gems is a goddamn masterpiece if you want to see him in something more serious 🤙🏼
Also good by him are Billy Madison, Spanglish, and 50 First Dates. Good films by other SNL alumni are Wayne's World, Tommy Boy, Deuce Bigelow, and Joe Dirt.
Hi Jen. Glad you enjoyed this movie. It was a legend back in the 90's. I'm definitely here for Billy Madison when you react to it and more classic 90's comedies. So many references made in this film to characters and skits from Saturday Night Live. If you want a fun comedy deep dive, check out some of those old episodes from 1990-95. Maybe that could be a good exclusive Patreon series of reactions, IDK. Anyway, would absolutely love to see you react to more of the SNL alumni comedies, feat. Mike Myers, Chris Farley, David Spade, Norm MacDonald, Rob Schneider...
I love Adam's movies. Plus they always have great soundtracks. Haters can kick rocks. The Wedding Singer is my fave. 50 First Dates, Big Daddy, The Waterboy, Mr Deeds, Just Go With It, Grown Ups.... Love them all!
For a '90s comedy, I'd also suggest a Mike Myers flick called "So I Married An Axe Murderer". Hasn't got as much notice these days as others, probably due to his Austin Powers movies that came after. Makes fun of romantic comedies, and the characters are great (like playing his own Scottish Father, and Viki the Alcatraz Tour Guide).
Jen, remember the guy with the nail in his head when you get to the Roger Moore era of James Bond. He's famous for playing a very memorable villain in two of those movies.
Have you seen Wild Hogs? John Travolta, Tim Allen, William H Macy, and Martin Lawrence. It's a comedy. Also another good golf movie is Tin Cup starring Kevin Costner.
A fun time as always , this is Just one of those movies much like Ghostbusters that if i catch it on i will just watch it 🙂 seeing how much you enjoyed it jen id say the waterboy is another adam Sandler movie that you will enjoy its wholesome and just a not gotta thonk touch just have a good time movie and will put a smile on your face i guarantee it 👍 no wisdom nuggets today but ive enjoyed your reactions a lot you're awesome jen 🎉
Prime example of extortion here! Grandma owns the house, or does she? They require payment for no reason or they take your home. That is extortion and it is illegal, yet they get away with it, because property tax has been normalized. You have to continuously pay money for permission to own stuff. Not one person has ever defended property taxes when i accuse it if being illegal. Because i am right! They are using force in order to get money, greed and corruption. By the way $270,000 at that time, was more expensive than that house was. Let that sink in.
That was wheezetastic jen its always so much fun enjoying a movie with you especially ones that make you laugh so much and just have a great time 🙌 always great seeing the captions in your older videos a fantastic job as always. Seeing the subway ad im with you jen i could defo eat a sub rn 😋 . Ive tried hitting the ball happy Gilmore style and its so hard to hit it anywhere sensible lol . The guy shaking his head throughout was the pro golfer lee Trevino doing a cameo . Adams family reaction this morning , happy Gilmore now and con air just dropped what an awesome trio 🎉 youre just the best jen 🔥💙🔥💙
Did you recognize Happy’s love interest as Julie Bowen from Modern Family? Oh and when you continue watching James Bond movies you’ll be seeing more of the really big guy, Richard Kiel. It’s going to be a few movies before you see him though, and he’ll look a bit different.
Fun fact: The guy with the nail in his head was James Bond royalty. The late Richard Kiel was one of the most popular Bond characters aside from Bond, Blofeld, Q and even Moneypenny, but to tell you who he was would spoil the reveal. Suffice to say, if you watch them in order, you're in for a treat.
A few good Adam Sandler comedies are You Don't Mess with the Zohan, Blended, The Wedding Singer, Grown Ups 1 and 2. Also a few of my all time favourite comedies are Better Off Dead, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Superbad, Quick Change, Kingpin, What About Bob.
And you can count on ME liking this video... not in a parking lot though. Also I hate myself for this but at 8:44.... that's what she said. Also also the love interest is the mom from Modern Family and the big dude with the nail in the head played Jaws in the Bond movies.
@ 21:36 ever since i was younger I always thought it was significant that after being hit by a car and injured he loses his long drive and shooter's drive in this scene is BARELY further than Happy's. Shooter sucks! I was also annoyed that they didn't just make a rigid glove that looks like a prosthetic for the character Chubbs to wear instead of 'holding' onto a fake hand, making his right arm about a foot longer than his left lol. I've probably only seen this movie a couple hundred times haha! You should watch "Airheads" from 1994! It's got Sandler in it, but also Steve Buscemi and Brendan Fraser! "Bulletproof' is another HIGHLY underrated Adam Sandler movie (also has Damon Wayans and James Caan!). I hope you see these suggestions and add them to the list!!!
i'd say there are two types of Adam Sandler movies: Adam Sandler movies, and movies in which Sandler is a main character. Happy Gillmore is the best of the former (with Billy Madison in second, and I would advise against anyone who isn't a teenage boy watching further down that list. Then he has a handful of watchable movies of other types such as The Wedding Singer (although I haven't seen that in so long, maybe I shouldn't mention it)
@@jenmurrayxo Jen, most of Adam Sandler’s movies from Billy Madison (1995) to 50 First Dates (2004) are all very funny, heart warming worth watching. Even after that, The Longest Yard and a few others I’ll list here, were pretty good. After that it seemed like he just sort of ran out of ideas and and wasn’t 100% in it anymore. He has some good serious roles too, if you want to check out the more dramatic roles. Punch Drunk Love Spanglish Reign Over Me Uncut Gems My Adam Sandler comedy recommendations: Billy Madison The Wedding Singer The Waterboy Big Daddy (I think this will be one of your absolute favorites) also stars a very young little Cole Sprouse. Mr. Deeds Anger Management 50 First Dates Just Go With It Blended A little fun fact: the guy who played Doug Thompson in Happy Gilmore is the director Dennis Dugan, and did some of Adam’s best movies.
Oh, I almost forgot. Keep an eye out when you watch his movies for the cast members who are in most of his movies. Allen Covert, for example played the homeless caddy in Happy Gilmore, and he’s in a bunch of Adam’s movies.
Just in from work. I put your '90s films playlist' on autoplay last night, currently at #27 of 60 films on that playlist. Hope this helps your algorithm rhythm. 💜
Another great reaction Jen! You have such pure and positive energy! I would definitely suggest Billy Madison, Click and The Wedding Singer. Have you thought about any Jim Carrey movies? Dumb And Dumber is a great one to start with.
HAHAHAHA ! I still can't watch golfers tee off without thinking of Happy Gilmore! It took way too long to get Hap on a putt-putt course. I'll suggest ANGER MANAGEMENT(Sony Pictures, 2003) which stars Adam paired with Jack Nicholson, and a cast of thousands (or so it seems). So funny!
Leave your comedy suggestions below!
Goon! 2011! Seann William Scott. Hockey comedy! Unless you've already seen it. No, actually I'll suggest it even you have seen it.
Adam Sandler isn't in it, but all his friends are, and it IS a Happy Madison movie: Grandma's Boy.
Adam Sandler: 50 First Dates; Anger Management; and The Wedding Singer. Other great comedies: Ruthless People; The Sure Thing; Better Off Dead; Bill Murray and Gina Davis in Quick Change.

Billy Madison
Adam Sandler gets a TON of hate these days but this era of Sandler is just pure gold. This, Billy Madison, Big Daddy, Wedding Singer, all excellent movies.
*COUGH - except Bullet Proof and Little Nicky - COUGH*

@@fatkart7641 I like Little Nicky. :-P
What was the one where ha had John Turturro as a butler? And Winona Ryder as a reporter? I rember liking that one a lot too. "Mr. Deeds", I think.
Wedding Singer is SO good!!
I love how long Chubbs' arm is with that fake hand. 🤣 🤣

The Waterboy with Adam and Kathy Bates as his mama. Pure classic
Can't wait for the Spy That Loved Me and Moonraker reaction now.
She saw a Bond villain and might not know it.
Richard Kiel is too funny here in his little role, and one of my favorite henchpeople in Bond.

Chubbs' extra long arm made it funnier for me 😂😂👍
i'd say there are two types of Adam Sandler movies: Adam Sandler movies, and movies in which Sandler is a main character. Happy Gillmore is the best of the former (with Billy Madison in second, and I would advise against anyone who isn't a teenage boy watching further down that list. Then he has a handful of watchable movies of other types such as The Wedding Singer (although I haven't seen that in so long, maybe I shouldn't mention it)
Yeah billy Madison is great! The waterboy is pretty funny too!
Happy Jen is a fun Jen. ❤️
Adorable, silly and delightful.
This was a great reaction.
So much fun!! 😂👍⛳️🏌♀️

Jen, most of Adam Sandler’s movies from Billy Madison (1995) to 50 First Dates (2004) are all very funny, heart warming worth watching.
Even after that, The Longest Yard and a few others I’ll list here, were pretty good.
After that it seemed like he just sort of ran out of ideas and and wasn’t 100% in it anymore.
He has some good serious roles too, if you want to check out the more dramatic roles.
Punch Drunk Love
Spanglish
Reign Over Me
Uncut Gems
My Adam Sandler comedy recommendations:
Billy Madison
The Wedding Singer
The Waterboy
Big Daddy (I think this will be one of your absolute favorites) also stars a very young little Cole Sprouse.
Mr. Deeds
Anger Management
50 First Dates
Just Go With It
Blended
A little fun fact: the guy who played Doug Thompson in Happy Gilmore is the director Dennis Dugan, and did some of Adam’s best movies.
Oh, I almost forgot.
Keep an eye out when you watch his movies for the cast members who are in most of his movies.
Allen Covert, for example played the homeless caddy in Happy Gilmore, and he’s in a bunch of Adam’s movies.
Shooter is one of the greatest movie villains as far as I’m concerned. Great movie.
Just in from work. I put your '90s films playlist' on autoplay last night, currently at #27 of 60 films on that playlist. Hope this helps your algorithm rhythm. 💜
For more Sandler comedy, Billy Madison, The Waterboy and Airheads.
Great choice!
So fun! 😂👍⛳️🏌♀️
Another great reaction Jen! You have such pure and positive energy!
I would definitely suggest Billy Madison, Click and The Wedding Singer.
Have you thought about any Jim Carrey movies? Dumb And Dumber is a great one to start with.
Thanks Tony! Oh I'd love to see that one 👍
Other funny golf comedies are Caddyshack and Tin Cup. I think you would enjoy both Jen.
So funny!
The Grandpa Wheeze is my MVP of your Reactions!! Love it!!
Lolll thanks Mike!! 😂😂👍
