I think most people missed the fact that the looped cable was done on purpose. It's meant to be a nod to old school tank breathers and visible cables. I liked it.
stephen hadley I like the loop on the 800 models but the 1100 loop looked very odd from the start. I think they made a larger loop to fit the wider gauge.
Agree. Probably you can help me. There’s this dealer close to me with 2020 and 2021, i like the pipes on two sides of the 2020 and at the same time it is 5k less. On the 2021, i like the handle bars better and feels more ergonomic. If I buy the 2020, can I upgrade the bars like the 2021 has? Thanks.
I just bought the sport pro as my second bike I am new to riding but this one stole my heart it’s very expensive but I think if I didn’t get it I would regret it I took the sport for ride from my local dealer what a ride so I asked when is sport pro is coming out she told me It’s in back order tell March 2021 I kept searching. I found Dealr that have one I drove 300 miles. And I got it. Thank god. Love it
The sport pro looks nice. Apart from euro 5 it's not really a new model though, just a refresh, it doesn't look different enough really. Whenever I see high level exhaust my first thought is 'well, that's panniers out of the window.'
The Ocean Dry: if only it was yellow. It's THE Scrambler colour. I like the stacked exhausts. Brake cable?! In the two countries I live in, there isn't a Ducati dealer within 200 miles, or I'd consider the Ocean Dry model.
I thought the extra money for the sport was not just for paint and dropped bars but massively beefier front suspension? Thinking of swapping my FTR1200 for this, what are peoples thoughts?
Interesting decision by Ducati, when the Triumph Scrambler 1200 and the Indian FTR1200 are both pushing 100+ hp. I can't see this being a top seller for them in Europe or America.
@@PlatinumRatio All I know brother is that scramblers are cool but I dropped my bag of coins on the Limited Edition 2020 T120 Ace Cafe #1125/1400 and that's all that really matters in the world of economics vs emotional motorcycle buying. Ducati Vs. Triumph...ah...Either way the rider wins. =D
I’m trying to decide what type of bike to get aster many years off YZF750RG and the sport pro looks like it could a nice touring gravel road bike here in OZ
The sport pro is so beautiful it hurts.... but in order to pay that kind of money ducati needs to implant an extra cylinder (or 2) and raise the bhp at least at the level of xsr 900 or z 900 rs. Who spends almost 17 grand for 86 hp?? Seriously now that s a real market suggestion?
Sport Pro looks very nice although I'd be tempted to ditch the standard tires & stick some stickier rubber on. It's also rather expensive & you could buy the standard 1200 Monster for less so may be a tough sell imo despite how nice it looks.
I was hoping they will increase the hp or the torque Since am getting the 1100 sport I will keep it and wait a bit tell the official sport pro launched and test the new zero drag handle bar I love the new plate position it's much more retro now and looks fancy I love it but I will wait and see This bike looks more like customized scrambler bikes ,,, all the stuff that I would change on my coming sport bike I will come up like the new 1100 sport pro
Almost put some Pirrelli mt60 rs on my XR1200 but heard alot of people say once they are worn a bit they are garbage. Also i would have way rather seen a bigger "Desert Sled 1100"
John Neomaster The 1100 has enough power. I have one as well as an MT10 and I love the performance. I can confirm it will drag off an R nine T much to my friend's annoyance.
@@stephenhadley2490 I used to have a NineT and testriding the 1100 did not give me the same experience that you mention. But again, that was a half-hour test. But I agree, it's enough power! It just seems low on that size engine 😁
It's Italian, so surely it should also be available in bright red ? (I like red) Otherwise, yeah I would like one. Looks good to me. They will sell quite a few. It's the time and money that will stop me.
Ducati is known for creating a fast- user-friendly, unreliable bikes. But since AUDI took over Ducati has really upped their reliability game. I'm debating over a used Ducati monster (2014 or 2015) or the scrambler. I've been waiting for an aggressive-looking/feeling scrambler that didn't ride like a chick's bike to come out. I do wish it had just a hair more power, but the Sport Pro was almost exactly what I was looking for.
My 2017 Monster 1200s has been flawless and you're very safe buying a used one. The Monster is certainly more sporty, while the Scrambler is fun and very easy to ride. Test both and enjoy!
I had the dilemma. ..I ended up buying an 1100 sport as I have other "fast bikes" and was looking for just a fun ride. I love it, one of the most fun bikes I've owned. The Termi Exhaust, air box mods, and race map really woke it up and dropped weight.
A beautiful bike. But for the size of the engine and weight, it certainly needs some extra power. It has nearly 50 percent more cc than the scrambler 803, but makes only 15 horses more than the smaller scrambler. It should be making similar power to the BMW r ninet, which is also aircooled. Otherwise, it is a very nice chassis, with great suspension, breaks and electronic aids, BUT on a SLOW BIKE.
HI all, if anyone knows or owns this type of scambler. Is there any way to have a side storage box? also is that feasible for a passenger to sit with you? i can't figure out from pictures
Took this 1078cc motor for a spin many years ago with the Monster 1100 evo. Had a set of boombing Termi's under the tail, and the bike was brimming with character and torque. Power-wheelies simple as a flick of the wrist in 1st and 2nd gear. Marzocchi and Sachs with forged magnesium wheels. Was an awesome ride. I think they've neutered all the power and character out of this engine in the Scrambler, due to stupid regs. Here's what it USED TO sound like--- ua-cam.com/video/T7_y5DgSce4/v-deo.html

PS I have a silver Ducati 800 Scrambler full throttle and even limited for A2 it is more than enough fun on those roads! @instasteeley Brian
anyone with an internet connection and half off a brain can change the bike's looks using aftermarket products. but weight, engine and suspension is what really matters and is pretty difficult to change. so yes it is kind off dissatisfying. for manufacturer its childs play to increase gas tank, specs and the 1100 isn't really a scrambler the real money is in the 803cc
Joke bike, with the big giveaway being the ridiculous blocky tread tires which will be a detriment to the 99.8% of the riding these bikes will ever do (all asphalt). This is the perfect bike for someone who wants to own a Ducati, but who would never be caught dead in an afternoon rain shower or anything less than 76 degrees and sunny out. Notice the open faced, 3/4 helmets (and the one guy with goggles....) - yeah, time to head to Starbucks! I can't believe no one in the video is wearing a scarf.
How does the ride quality of the pro compare to the sports pro? Does the addition of Ohlins suspension make it a stiffer riding proposition? Comments / feedback welcome

I kinda liked the previous exhaust but still a pretty sexy bike in my opinion.
Think Ducati missed a trick win Sport Pro should have had more power as 1100 motor can output over 100bhp to keep up with the competition
100%, Really surprised they have such low power output for such a large engine.

@@stephenhadley2490 thats another good point. Also the price is pretty high for a shorter miliage tire. But regardless they look good as hell!
The MT60s provide plenty of grip on tarmac and are softer - so they do wear more quickly.
The 800 cc model should have that kind of power. Under 90 both bhp and Nm for a 1100 is low. The old one looks the same, so not much new, as you said.
