Download link is now up! I'll be editing this comment in accordance to any changes I make to the MIDIs. Reply to this if you find anything wrong. Yes, I'm aware the first note is always piano for some reason, just rewind it to the start. [2023-11-17] • Given the green light from Matt Neff himself to share the link! • hotdoggeria_menu: overlapping channels fixed. (Drawbar Organ) • pizzeria_oven: Added the missing Eb bongos to 2.4.4 and 4.4.4 • pizzeria_oven: Changed track 3 to Nylon Acoustic Guitar • Playing bakeria_jukebox will not cause your piano to disappear. [2023-11-17] • sushiria_order: Un-legatoed the drum notes • startofday: Changed clainet to piccolo
(Things I appear to notice that could be fixed) [this is a long comment btw, so prepare yourself]: bakeria_top appears to have the wrong main flute; in the game, the instrument doesn't sound like that. The midi makes it sound like it's delayed, somehow, and not ending the flute note properly every beat to make it sound... well, normal. customer_decent; the main flute at the end sounds wrong; the instrument doesn't sound like that. customer_happy; drum sounds wrong; I think the instrument doesn't sound like that. pizzeria_cut; again, wrong main flute; the instrument doesn't sound like that. startofday; wrong main flute instrument; the instrument doesn't sound like that sfx_endofday; wrong drum sample; also, midi too short; the last sound that plays cuts abruptly. extend the midi's duration to fix this issue and let beat rest normally. customer_angry; the end of the midi is too short; the last sound that plays cuts abruptly, the end shouldn't cut like that, please extend the midi's duration to fix this issue and let beat rest normally. foodini_intro; same problem as customer_angry; midi too short; last sound that plays cuts abruptly, please extend midi duration to fix and let beat rest normally Why I mentioned letting a beat rest; you don't want to have your final beats in your midi to cut out abruptly in your midis; it's a jarring way to end a track. If I notice any more inconsistencies, i'll be sure to write them down.
@@nulIobjectreferenceI see what you mean about wrong sounds here, and in most of those cases I can't really do much about it. If you look at the contents of the MSGSWS you'll see that the sample that should be there is the ukelele, however that wasn't an option in the MIDI editor I used, so I used the nylon guitar instead. in startofday, I've changed the clarinet to the piccolo since I noticed it sounded off. As for everything else you mentioned about incorrect samples, I did the best I could since the original audio was compressed and hard to make out some of the drum samples. Will update the download link soon
@@BlueGreenSnake well, nice to hear that info. btw, I did ask if it's okay on the end of my reply that you could at-least fix the abrupt cutoff of the midis I claimed were too short; maybe look into that. for what to do, simply add an extra second or two seconds. A proper end to a track, (the final beat) is always better then an abrupt cut off. I am 99% sure though that you can go in a different MIDI editor online and it may have that ukelele option you're looking for to make those midis sound correct. It's just one change to make. I think you can do it. I understand using different editors may startle you, but I am sure some exist online that have that instrument and you can simply replace the instrument with the proper one. I don't think MIDI Editors have different sound signatures, but then again, I could be mistaken. Maybe there's a reason you use that specific MIDI Editor. IF you like using this MIDI editor, that's completely okay, and you can keep using it. But I figured trying another one wouldn't hurt if it could help you in some way in your journey to making it more accurate, if that's what your motivation or goal is.
i've literally been going through the games and transcribing the songs myself a few months ago i'm so happy to see someone else shares this damn sacred papa louie knowledge godspeed to you dude
Have you worked on the platformer games (Papa Louie: When pizzas attack, etc)? I've finished most of the first game but haven't had much time to work on it lately, me being a first year uni student and all. If you would like to contribute to this project and help with the transcriptions I'd greatly appreciate it! Shoot me an email at wsmarshall2003@gmail.com if interested
@@BlueGreenSnake i have actually! those were my primary focus, ive finished all base tracks (i mean only songs no like sfx and all those things) from the 2nd game and some from the 3rd
While this is really cool, (something to appreciate), it'd be cool as well if you could also turn the Papa Louie, Papa louie 2, and papa louie 3 music into midis as well. I'd be complete when that happens. If you ever have the chance, please do it... They had some pretty good music too imo.
I didn't include Taco Mia initially because it uses the same music as pizzeria and burgeria, but at the very end under the end cards i did recreate Franco's order
@@whenthegaming9916 I agree, i remember causing my mum's macbook pro to freeze while making a massive taco mountain on Papa's Taco Mia on kizi way back in 2011, so all you heard was the fan on max speed and the build station music lmao
The titan known as Warner Chappell decided to have their way with me, because somehow youtube thinks i'm ripping off 'Springtime Picnic'. Unfortunately there's no "your automated systems wrongly detetected this track's melody" option under the dispute menu. Tried emailing them about it, no response, even with Flipline themselves coroborating me, so i just decided to bite the bullet and mute it.
