If you want to be even more annoyed by Taco Mia, calling it 'Taqueria' would have made more sense as that is a real word for a Mexican restaurant that specializes in tacos.
They were going to call it Taqueria but decided against it, they feared people would be confused by the word 💀

Papa Louie is like one of those ghost kitchens, he makes EVERYTHING
Even worse, he basically owns a monopoly on nearly all types of food. He canonically uses Flavor X (some sort of syrup from an alien dimension) to make his food special and addictive to attract more customers and grow his food empire. He has shops all over the world in the flip line universe and generally pays his employees very little and expects them to pay for upgrades and decorations for his shops. Papa Louie is an unstoppable menace lore wise lol

My favourite thing to do in the -ria games was to just make an absolutely disgusting order for one customer in particular (usually one I didn't like). Even if it meant all the other customers had to wait hours, I'd just chuck everything onto that order - no matter what they'd asked for - and present them with a massive pile of food they hated. It was hilarious every time.

I work in as a cook where I serve people at the same time and I like to joke that these games trained me for it.
My personal favorite was always Freezeria.
Update: this week I'm on a trial period at the coffee shop section attached to my work.

maybe it was because it was the newest when I first started playing, but even to this day, I think Freezeria just hits the right spot between complexity and simplicity so it's never boring, but not overwhelming, either.

I think one of the things that made these games so popular was that they're not only super fun to play, but they're so stylized that they're unmistakable. The style is very appealing, I remember seeing other kids in the computer lab playing these games and I thought they looked fantastic. Colorful, fun looking characters and animations, and mmm, food! These games just have a way of catching your eye and then you wanna try playing it for yourself, I feel like they scratch the same itch as those toy kitchen playsets for kids. You know, with the plastic foods and the fake cooktops. Papa games are just for a slightly older demographic.
I feel at ease now that I know Xandra and Xolo are 10 years old. This whole time I was picturing them as grown adults with jobs which seemed vaguely intimidating

Actually a GOATed series. Personally though, while I liked the restaurant management games, I really enjoy the trilogy where Papa and friends explore Munchmore.

It brings me so much joy that the Papa fandom is still so strong after the death of flash. But, on the other hand, it kinda makes sense. Although, I wish I could play all of these games again; RIP flash, you will be missed.

I agree! I think it's because her voice is much more relaxing and less chaotic than that of other UA-camrs. Nowadays, most UA-camrs use over-exaggerated voices to grab viewers' attention.

Hearing the music makes me feel calm, Cool Maths Games was the bomb, especially for Papa’s Freezeria, that was always my go to.
I’ll add you an extra layer of anger to the fact that “taco mia” is the only one without “ria” in the tittle is that Taqueria is the Spanish word for taco place so it would have actually fit perfectly xD

It's always fun going into the characters of this series, especially the couples and who are together, especially when you realise some of them (even a lesbian couple in the form of Mary and Sue, who Tony confirmed to be a couple on the forum and honestly never expected LGBT representation in a series where all you do is cook food)
On the topic of LGBT representation, we also got two characters confirmed to be nonbinary and transgender respectively, being Treble and Liezel, which is honestly super cool.

The first couple games absolutely RULED my last year or two of high school and made a big resurgence on my iPhone in the past 5 years or so. They’re still absolute bangers.
I remember when I was in elementary school, the teacher would let us play coolmath games and I would always play papa Louie. It gives me so many memories and made me so happy when I was a kid ^^

I am really getting into the flipverse lore and I think I’m developing a special interest for these games as well.
god these papa games took over my life during quarantine. being super bored like the average person during lockdown, i started finding literally anything to do to pass the time. when i remembered the papas games i played freezeria and scooperia for hours every day for weeks 🥲 the games brought back so many good memories, and playing anything on cool math games always scratches an itch for my inner child
how were people bored? i miss it so bad! i had endless time to do things.
surprised fanon fandom wikis weren't mentioned, i founded one back in the day and there was a crazy amount of drama between the users, even on the official wiki there was a huge feud and vandalization in 2012

●A cooking/stirring station in the middle

I played the hell out of Papa’s Pastaria as a kid and managed to beat the main story on mobile. I achieved my dream at that moment and I couldn’t have been happier when I did it.
The fact that he’s named Papa Louie tickles my fancy bc in New York there are these italian ice places called Uncle Louie G, but me and my family have called it Uncle Louie’s for forever

This line is from the snapcube sonic adventure 2 dub, specifically the dark story, where Robotnik makes an announcement that he’s about to piss on the moon aka shoot the moon with a massive laser.
Therefore, it can be assumed that the image is a part of someone recreating that announcement in Papa Pals.
I remember working at a Sushiria before. (unfortunately Fernanda the mexican architect in a red poncho never visited the sushiria, instead Yui the fanmade beanie-headed braid-hair girl came,and I like to give her coupons. Yui is actually a great red sundae spoon archer in the When Sundaes attack!

I think the truly egregious part of taco mias naming is that tacoria(spelled taqueria) is an actual word in spanish that means a taco restaurant

I always loved playing these games. It was one of the main reasons I used my laptop even after finishing school. Sadly, Flash Player went away, and I was without a means to play for a couple of years.
Then I had a brilliant idea. I asked for a tablet for Christmas. I decided I'd use that tablet for "premium" games. The ones you had to pay a little money for. That allowed me to play all the Gamerias I remembered so fondly, and finally get to experience the two that had come out after Flash Player went away!
This entire video is a little surreal because that’s what we called my grandfather when he was alive: Papa Louie.

Did anyone else play their MMORPG Remnants of Skystone? I'd been trying to remember the name for years since I played it in like 2012. It's even mentioned in 10:00. The devs wrote a strangely worded post stating that the MMORPG shut down because the amount of work on the game was not worth the return compared to any of the papa games. I don't blame them ^. ^;
I'd always wondered how the love for this game sustained so long since I remember vividly watching dozens of kids playing burgeria in the computer labs when I was in grade 3. Everyone had tan boxes running windows 2000. Glad to see people still love and play these games regularly.

I love playing these games as a kid along with Fireboy and Watergirl and Ducklife. They’re really engaging and entertaining, and now even as a senior I still play them a lot, cheeseria is my favorite. Really enjoy these games and it really is sad Flash got shut down because the games there were a treasure.
I spent so much time playing these games when I was younger. It sucks that most of them are unplayable since Flash died :( I miss them.
