TURN THE VOLUME WAY UP BEFORE YOU UPLOAD!!!!!! You're barely at 5% out of 100 max volume compared to the ad! GRR!!!! WHY MUST YOU ALWAYS DO THIS ON YT?!?! LET ME lower the volume. I can't raise it past the 5/100 you uploaded it at!!! WHY can't you grasp this?! The ad played at full volume therefore it is YOUR upload that is faulty!

$50k for a 3-day miracle. I would pay that to have my mom back for 3-days😥 my mom let us watch this every Saturday night. This brings back sweet memories of my teen years at home with my mom and siblings. Thanks for sharing.
Sorry, for the loss of your mom. Your comments brought me to tears. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Sorry for your loss💔💔💔💔
Me too...😢
Me too.
@@harperstacey9604 hey, I know you. From Dave Sundstrom's channel.
Ricardo was such a great actor to watch in anything he did. RIP
KHAAANNN!!!!!!
Man I really miss shows like this. There didn't have to be a season long mystery to solve, or some big bad to defeat. Just interesting, entertaining self contained stories every week. I'm not knocking serialized shows, but there are way too many of them and not enough episodic shows these days. Balance needs to be restored.
Very well said. Me too. Loved Boat and Fantasy Island back to back
Did you watch the show " the night stalker ?" With Karl kolchak? I was born in the 60's grew up in the 70's that show was great !!!
@@davidarmitage289 Yes I remember every Saturday night I often wondered did Mr. Roarke's jeep have Rich Corinthian leather? Lol 🤣🤣 but still great memories
@@patrickarlaud4677 I most certainly did and I have them on DVD
"Balance needs to be restored." The exact plot line that drove the most popular and influential, serial sci-fi films to date. 😬
Man they can't even make TV like this anymore. Creativity and thinking outside of the box is almost a lost art.
Exfuckingatly I stopped watching tv years ago old shows are so much better
Roarke actually said at the beginning, about them being mortals.
He was an angel, showing people the mistakes they had made.
What a fantastic show, and Ricardo was such a pro !
The reboots of fantasy island have been terrible. Nothing tops the original. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
I watched this show when it was on originally, and several times since, and this was the first time I caught that line.
'have the part when the devil was on the show and they was fighting over the souls of a couple Roarke won because the contract said two but the woman carrying a baby that made 3,, The devil said that we been doing this way to long Roarke,, It was the guy from planet of the apes, got the clip on my channel

Every Saturday Night for us @@pnwlove6159
When everybody watched the same shows... Gave us something in common to talk about...
For sure. Tee Vee is no longer this communal event that we share. Remember the final eps of MASH? You KNEW that we were watching it all, TOGETHER. Now we're all detached and alone, 'enjoying' our show ..... lol
When our Menu was the tv guide ❤
Bill Bixby was such an underrated actor!
The Hulk... another one of those shows I watched back then.
...but you wouldn't like him angry :)
Omg. This show and then the Love Boat. This was an hour where i completely shut out everything going on. This was my special tv hour growing up.
Yep every Saturday night
wasn't that 2 hours?
When TV had creativity. The music, the story line. Enchanting. With the exception of Victoria Principal, all have passed on...
Sadly yes. I've never really liked Victoria Principal, but I'd never wish death upon her.
Victoria passed on in the 80's I believe
@@patricialang970 -No, Victoria is alive and well
Can you imagine Jaclyn Smith in that role? Wow!
Exactly...
The Mr. Rourke we see in this "Pilot" episode is slightly "Spicy" & more mysterious compared to what we always saw in the following episodes over the years.
Francesca: Tell me all about yourself
Arnold: You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry!
😄😆
This doesn’t have nearly enough likes 😂
😂🤣😂🤣😂
RM lived most of his adult life in extreme pain. I believe he fell off a horse when he was younger and had back problems for decades. You can see him walk with a slight limp. But he was always in shape. Worked out, hit the weight room, hit the heavy bag. Stayed on top of it.
Thank you so much...
This really takes me back. I was lucky that my parents let me stay up and watch stuff like this. At least it was Saturday night, so it didn't matter. This came on after the Love Boat.
Best TV back then!
Yup me too. Great memories ❤️
It was Friday night that I can remember. False memories probably.
@@davidfisher2432 Now you got me, was it Friday or Saturday night ? I know loveboat came on, then this, then my dad would watch the News.
I believe it was on Saturday nights☺️ I can remember struggling to stay up to see the end of Fantasy Island 🤣🤣🤣
This, Gilligan's Island and Love Boat. Those were the days!
the Love Boat even
Yeppers. Watched all of those shows! 😊
Plot twist: Fantasy Island was Gilligan's Island!
No expense spared, a top cast - intriguing stories - superb cinematography - great locations. Great show.
Yes. I use the word "entertainment" It can be high art, or a simple TV shows that make you smile (and think) doesn't insult your intelligence. Top Gun Maverick is a recent example.
Much darker than the series. Love Roark's line "Welcome to Fantasy Island...indeed."
yes, the way he always said, "indeed."
My favorite episode is the one where a guest had a fantasy of driving a Chrysler Cordoba, with fine Corinthian leather.
Fine RICH Corinthian Leather
@@crikker9447 Maybe that's why the guest died in that episode...
@@crikker9447 .....ironically, fine rich Corinthian leather was tanned and processed in a factory in New Jersey !
Automakers need to bring back Corinthian leather!
@@CrazyAboutVinylRecords what episode was this??
Those days were golden days 💞
I am made of blue sky and golden light. And I will feel this way forever. Share the fantasy.
Little did we know ...
What a show , family night in the 1970s . Doritos and pepper cheese and chips ahoy cookies yeah !
Mr. Rourke always gets to the truth of the matter .
I was 14 years old and in the hospital after being hit by a car and nearly dying when I first saw this.
Rest in peace, Herve.
Mr. Roarke seemed MUCH darker than I remember. Of course I don't think they were quite sure what to do with his character, since this was the pilot. Yet, this was still one of my favorite series in the 70's.
The pilot WAS darker then most of the episodes
He was a fallen angel, so it makes sense.
@@SoRealSuccess Then and than are different words with different meanings.
This was a pretty good dark pilot
Just found this today! Not sure what made me all of a sudden think about Fantasy Island, but I'm glad. I remember watching years ago, one of my favorite shows! Back when TV was actually worthwhile watching. I haven't had a TV in almost 8 years now and don't miss it at all.
Likewise
Holy crap, I had forgotten about this show. The fashions, lol. Tatto too. Written like a soap opera, but on prime time.
Basically, a twist of the Love Boat format. And it worked!
@@Milnoc Which was being recorded and aired at the same time frame and the same actors guesting on both.
such a great tv show. i grew up with this
Mr. Roarke was both sweet and sinister.
Guess you never saw the episode the devil and mr Roark
Ricardo montalban, who played Mr. Roarke appeared on an episode of Star Trek, the original series. The episode was called space seed. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
@@harperstacey9604 he also played Khan... in the series and in the 2nd movie the wrath of Khan
@@glennschlorf1285 he sure did.
@@glennschlorf1285 ikr! He was nothing sweet, but I wouldn't mind....
This was when TV was worth watching!
Now, foul language is heard on TV. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
So true!!!! This is my era...this is when movie seems REAL and REAL ACTING❤️
Even the bad stuff from that time seems delightful now.
Weekend were worth the enjoyment.
I stopped watching tv in 2013
I worked at the El Monte airport, in 1977, when they brought the pane there, took off the wings and trucked the aircraft to the Arboretum in Arcadia to film the beginning scenes in the small lake they had at the Arboretum at that time. When I see the plane, I have nice memories.
It was one of the best shows to ever air on tv
Gene what's your top ten (vaguely)(anything goes)?
The look of pure disgust Roark gives Tatu when he doesn’t know who Hemingway is was chilling. It’s like he was planning where to bury Tatu’s body.
I agree, Mr. Roark shows some creepy looks in this that gives me the impression of evil intent. (I hope I'm wrong).Didn't ever see or sense this in the individual t.v shows.
Ha! I felt the same way!!!
He was actually quite cruel to the actor who played Tatu, so of course, it came out onscreen.
I grew up watching this... I loved it... and have been quite shocked to see how dark and quite cruel Mr Roark's character could be... Now, through adult eyes, I have to wonder, who or what was he??? Miracles speak of God but he's definitely not anything of God. He charges them a large sum of money to "fulfill their fantasy" and then appears to play on their human weakness and gullibility. Very sinister. It's reminds me of Stephen King's Needful Things. At least in that movie we knew exactly who they were dealing with!
@@karenkoop4672 RM revealed in his later yrs that Roark was a fallen angel who is being punished for pride and Fantasy Island is his Purgatory, at least that is how RM imagined his character and played him with that in mind.
Nice production, full of originality and good actors. It brought me back to the days in which life was more simple and enjoyable, where families get together to watch a wonderful TV program like this.
Rdrg, females? Define that.
Yes they were " The Good Old Days" what went wrong? Actually I know but dare not say!
All of the actors at that time either played on the Love Boat or Fantasy Island
Shivas Irons Families, not females. Well, many members of families were female.
From the pilot to the series they changed Rourke so he wasn't sinister or greedy. They also changed the Jeeps into Chrysler station wagons.
Bill Bixby went all hulk there for a minute.
The old series is much better than the new one.
They remade it?
Love this show.good old days.
One of the coolest shows ever
Love the scene at the Vasquez Rocks. That’s where Kirk fought the Gorn on Star Trek. Many, many shows and movies were filmed there. Been there twice. Interesting formation. This first episode was quite good. Ricardo Montalban (Khan in Star Trek) was awesome!
@@RockBrentwood Hahahahahahahaha
Gorn. Gorn. That's a nice woody sort of word. Gorn.
1:08:40 "Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I am angry."
These two actors were perfect for these roles.
Even in the James Bond Movie when I first saw them they was prefect together
Takes me back to the good old days. I was so young and flexible. Now I'm so old and stiff. I'm still blessed. That's the same!!!!
I never watched this show, but Ricardo Montalban was such a prolific, wonderful actor, good show.
Brings back blissful memories of 80s television. This was part of the Saturday lineup right after The Love Boat. 😍
Yeah but this is 70s
@iamkingalexofficial What do you mean 80' s ? This was the 70' s.
Ricardo Montalban - such a great actor. I miss this show! Time for a binge!
Thank you loved this show, back in the day when people cared about each other.
I have been SEARCHING for this. I found the series on a streaming service, but they didn't include the original pilot movie. 🍿

Roarke is a Q sent by the continuum to study humans.
AWESOME..WATCHING IN MARCH 2022 IN ARKANSAS, USA
Mr Roark was very gruff in the beginning. I’m glad he mellowed later
Peter: "Come on Tatu, let go"
Higgins: "its Higgins...sir"
I was a freshman in high school when this premiered. Never watched it because, well... life. The only thing I watched on Saturday nights was SNL when I got home. This was good. Really enjoyed seeing some old, familiar faces. Thanks!
OMG I love this show I still see this bring me memories my childhood 🙏♥️

Haven’t thought about this show in years!
Fantastic!
Thank you for sharing Fantasy Island 🏔
Still better then the current fantasy island. I guess greatness cannot be duplicated.
Don’t know about the new incarnation' but Squid Ganes and The Hunger Games series have a similar vibe.
Such a great show, still holds up 👆. Fond childhood memories dreaming of day when I could reach Shangri-la..
Wow the Way he Says "Welcome to Fantasy Island indeed" Makes Him sound Almost Sinister Like Kahn.
A edgier and darker than I expected. Mr. Roarke was a bit darker, too, than in the series version.
Thank you so much, I have been looking on all the tv sights for this show please keep uploading them. My childhood was the best.
*Thank-you SO much!*
This brings back so many memories. 💕
Damn, didn't realize how dark the pilot was! When ever Bill Bixby cried, I always cried with him. That man can generate some real tears of emotion. This and part 2 of "The First" from The Incredible Hulk. What a flashback.
Think I was 16 when this aired, 1976, it was pretty cool show.
Fantasy Island with Ricardo Montalban is so timeless. I just subscribed to your channel and would love to see what other classic full episodes that you have available to watch. Thanks! 👍💯
What kind of m&m’s does Tattoo like? De plain De plain…😂
who did`nt love FI? i sure did and glued to my tv every week, i really liked Ricardo in "star trex ll: the wrath of khan and for being over 60 he was in better than great shape and yes they do pump up for roles but still great shape. RIP
There's always a lesson in the end. I love that.
Loved the seaplane
'Made from fine Corinthian leather'
This was absolutely sinister. They don't make shows like this anymore.
This just can't be recaptured with modern methods. The 70s and 80s just had something special I remember.
Bill Bixby's storyline ... Wow ... So did he kill Francesca or not? ... To see the first episode was revealing. I thought I had seen every episode. What a treasure this was, to see it all begin again.
This Tv Series had all the good Actors on it all the time. Love it. Thank you
i remember this episode..i only got to watch the last 15 mins. its great to finally see it in its entirety.
Oh lord I grew up watching this... the carefree days of childhood..
Gus Fringe modeled his mannerisms after Mr. Roarke.
Unlike the regular series episodes, you actually see guests with different fantasies in the same shot. Bill Bixby even asks about Eleanor Parker’s fantasy. For the series, they never did that, so it would be easy for them to divide the episodes in half.
Loving the memories 😍
Miss these old shows
10:00 - I didn't expect to see a casket on "Fantasy Island."
When Ricardo Montalban went back to play KHAN in Star Trek II - He had to dig deep because at first he felt like he was delivering like Mr. Roarke...
Ricardo had everything. He could do anything. He'll always be one of my favorite actors.
Her: "What's wrong?"

Remember when "Zee plane, boss. Zee plane" was something people used to say? I heard it a lot by many people and laughed each time.
My Saturday's back then Love Boat, Fantasy Island, and Saturday Night Live. My grandmother let me stay up because no school the next day.
Wow, Bill Bixby ate that roll up! From the moment his character's fantasy began, that was exemplary acting.
I like this show now, but back then, I liked Gilligan's island, threes company, happy days, and Laverne and Shirley
