Despite their differences, the streetwise Brooklyn transplant Dave Starsky (Paul Michael Glaser) and his soft-spoken, intellectual partner Ken Hutchinson (David Soul) are the perfect undercover team for Bay City's toughest beats. With help from their jive-talking informant Huggy Bear, their boss Captain Harold Dobey and a souped-up red Ford, they race against the clock to find a stolen car that's been turned into a powerful bomb by an elderly couple looking to deliver a message about the deplorable living conditions for seniors. Relying on their very different perspectives in their pursuit to clean up Bay City's crime-infested streets, Starsky & Hutch take on powerful racketeers, big time drug dealers and low life addicts, prostitutes and pimps, cold blooded assassins and cop killers, powerful racists and even down-on-their-luck average Joes forced into crime just to make ends meet.

What can I say......I'm 57 years old and these guys were my heroes growing up....especially Mr. Soul. I bought my first single 'Don't Give Up On Us' back in 1976 and 'Silver Lady' in 1977. Both worldwide hits! In the late 90's I got to see him at a very small concert in Northampton. It was a great night and after David was signing autographs. I remember I said I was a big fan and he said ''well introduce yourself'' which I did and then I showed him my records that I'd bought back in the day. He was taken back that I'd kept them so long and that they were the first two records that I'd ever bought. He was so kind and signed them both. May you Rest In Peace David Soul you still are one of my heroes. God bless you.

My Dad went on vacation once in the 70's to San Francisco. One morning he was standing on Fisherman's Wharf waiting to get an a boat that was going out to Alcatraz island for a tour. Being Dad, he was EARLY. Just him and the mist rising off the Bay that early in the day. after standing alone for 15 or 20 minutes, 2 men walked out onto the Wharf and were standing 30 or 40 feet away from Dad quietly talking to eachother. After a few minutes, Dad glanced over at them and locked onto one of the men's faces and thought, "I know him from somewhere". Dad looked at him and looked at him and it wasn't coming to him where he knew him from. after a couple of minutes the man glanced at my Dad who was obviously wearing that "Where do I know him from ?" look on his face . . and he smiled. That smile shot it right into my Dad's head . . . it was Starsky ! ! ! HOLY SHIT ! ! ! Dad went over and shook his hand a told him that his son (me) watched his show every week and is probably his biggest fan in Canada. They talked until the tour boat arrived and then MY DAD went on a tour of Alcatraz island with STARSKY ! ! When Dad got back from that vacation, he told me all about it. WHAT a rush
