Nice take skillet, hope you had a great vacation. Me, like everyone else, on the edge of my seat waiting for news on Azzi. That poor kid, like Ducharme has been through the gauntlet. Superlatives? There aren't enough to go around. With SS, PB, AS and Chen you can't double anyone. And now that Ice has woken up, and Janna improving steadily with playing time, (one has to remember, this is Janna's freshman season) add in SS those three inside are scary. Oops I left out the other big, PBueckers. lol
Yes it was a dominating performance by UCONN however, I’m still not so certain that Azzi is alright. I’m hoping for the best and keeping my fingers crossed. Sarah Strong and Azzi were excellent with Shade chipping in for an off shooting night for Bueckers. I’m still worried abt the next game vs ND next Thursday. I don’t like the match up vs ND hopefully my anxiety is proven unnecessary and incorrect.
My initial response is that I think she is fine. But boy. Are we going to have to hold our breath every time we watch her for the rest of her career. Also, this is why I didn’t like “Azzi is back” videos after the Ole Miss game. Need to see her remain healthy for a bit first.
I have been looking at basketball for years, and I have never seen any team in men's or women's college basketball play like that game was played, the way the ball was moving and the players was a beautiful thing to watch.
i think she is fine she was back sitting on the bench next to paige in uniform for the final portion of the game. She just banged her knee and was in pain and they sat her to be safe since they had the game in hand. If she got a career ending injury every time she banged her leg there would literally be no point in her even trying anymore since this is such a phyisical game.
Bruin Vince here. I expect UConn to prevail over the Irish. The Irish are at home, and that will help them to hang close for most of the game. What will decide the game - in the fourth quarter, the no-bench Irish will tire and UConn's deep bench will get UConn across the finish line ahead of the fading, exhausted, Irish starting five.
Happy Paige has a loaded team around her now. Paige will be fine, lots of people overreacting as per usual. UConn looks ready to take it all this year! I think Azzi is okay, I think she just had a mental scare.
Fudd looked great , Louisville reminds me so much of Nc state. Bunch of guards just chucking up threes all game. I still think we haven’t seen UConn against much tough competition yet.
You are correct about the competition. Louisville is a far cry from SC or UCLA. SC recently blew out #15 by 40+, so I figured UConn would win big over #22.
UCLA blew SC out like some bitches and UCLA only beat this same Louisville by only 7. So what are you talking about. 😂 SC fans always on uconn videos tryna talk shit.
I love Ice, she seems like a great player/kid with a bad case of stage fright or low confidence in herself. She is coming into her own though and figuring it out which is great to see.
I agree. It's amazing how this kids who reigned supreme in HS all of a sudden lose their confidence when they play with other great players. I think Mir McClean and Saylor Poffenbarger had the same issues.
@@alanlee3236 I think part of it is the adjustment from playing in a highschool gym to being on national TV with pseudo celebs and massive stadiums, huge stakes and expectations, lights, interviewers, and tv networks. It is a lot to take in.
For the entire time Azzi was on bench after her fall, I noticed that after every good Uconn play, she stood right up and cheered with everyone else, not something we'd likely see with a serious injury. I think she'll be fine. Should hear something tomorrow from Geno.
@@feck1582 SNY broadcast the Holy Cross game as well as others this season. Fox just relays the broadcast for out-of-area viewers. @andmoreagain9 is asking why those games can't be found on SNY, which they should.
I"ll take my lumps on this one. UConn talent was overwhelming. Overlooked Louisville lack of guard play against UConn flexibility. Wow! Pulling for Azzi Fudd
Some people seem to have forgotten, rather conveniently in some cases, that Azzi had a major knee injury in high school. She's prone to them. Some athletes just are.
Paige looked rattled the entire game, like her confidence was shot. I get that there are multiple scoring options, but her willingness to get rid of the ball the _second_ there's any defensive pressure is disconcerting. While the rest of the team is being aggressive and driving to the basket through traffic, Paige is picking up her dribble and looking for an outlet pass. So strange.
Good win, but nobody on Louisville can shoot and Cochran can't help but foul every time she's on the court. That God they finally played a team that can put the ball in the hoop next.
you can't count on azzi. too many injuries have left her unreliable. uconn is so used to playing without her that we are used to it. she is great but probably be not there in march.
I guess you didn't notice she scored 18 pts in 18 minutes on 6-10 shooting and 4-7 from 3. Everybody needs that kind of production. If she makes it through this season healthy, she will go very high in the draft.
Comfortable? Was she supposed to be crying or pouting on the bench instead?? Then you’d call her attention seeking and a bad sport…head scratching comment, I must say.

Great analysis, per usual. Praying for AZ!

Reminded me of SA Vs Miami in final. That was perfect as well.
The Chen ankle breaker was a thing of beuty!
yes it was!
Azzi is such a joy to watch, a pure baller. I felt sick seeing her grab her knee last night. Hoping for the best prepared for the worst.

@@JohnJohn-fe6yc Problem is that the replay shows she did not “bang” her knee. She twisted it, and that’s potentially troubling.

poor azzi! i love her game and hopefully she’s 100% soon✨
I think Azzi just scared herself she has to get use to getting hit again. I think she has to learn how to know her knee is fine. It’s mental.

Hoping for the same. UCONN defense will have to be on point.
the fact paige fouled the girl, told the ref and they still didnt call it. like damn, she is trying to get her teammate off the court
You are 100% correct, that is why I'm a fan of UConn the players respect each other, and they play team basketball.
It would be very unfortunate...nice young lady!!

She's fine!
Thanks for the report. It looks like Azzi will be OK, but yes, it is concerning that the knee still seems to be weak.
Azzi is amazing. Does anyone know why there is no video on SNY, not this game but the Holy Cross game and earlier games this season?
Because it was on Fox...

Why was she even in the game with the score 20 + point lead?
Saw Azzi play in High School for SJC. She was the best female prep player I ever saw. However the injuries have really limited college career.
Just to be clear, Aaliyah didn’t just happen to fall into Azzi’s knee. KK Bransford shoved her into Azzi.
i knew someone would point that out especially since they are playing ND this week.

Azzi is the the female d-rose great player but injuries are a issue
Geno let her play too soon.
@RustyLou18 don't be an idiot. She was medically cleared. Geno left it up to Azzi for her to decide when she was ready. It's been over a year
I don't understand where they are predicting Azzi Fudd to be drafted in the first round of the WNBA draft. I wouldn't draft her at all.

Why play Louisville … when this match up was scheduled it obvious they wouldn’t be in the top ten - once again typical Geno
Geno plays the hardest schedule he can every year, clown. That’s why he’s the GOAT!
Oops
Azzi, time to retire girl. You don’t want to be wheelchair bound by the age of 30.
Azzi Dud is a continual disappointment, just retire like Ducharme.
Fudd has ALWAYS appeared comfortable on the bench. Her knee(s) just cannot withhold all that twisting on the defensive side.

Remember, Louisville is ranked 22, and by Monday, they will be unranked. Paige struggled again, she's not as good as Strong, and she knows it.
