shamferizational stuff. The tell tale to look up for the handle is an absolute mater stroke. The fractal quality of the final piece is completely mesmerizing. Thank you for the beauty shots there are many makers that never do them properly and leave the viewer wanting...
..you make it look so easy but clearly a huge amount of thought and pondering goes into what you do.
That's really pretty, love the 3D-effect the dark lines makes between the coloured ones!
Flip the box and slide the drawers back in and you’ll have your handles and the indentation together
It’s all been repurposed now it other ways
The possibilities would be endless for this type of finish combined with how you already use pallet wood in projects. Makes for very unique stunning one off pieces down the track. You are just full of surprises Mr Dainer!
@@dainermade look forward to seeing it
very nice, love the pattern. just tested positive for covid so will be able to finish my next project. my wife is a nurse so she's going to lock me in my workshop, bonus 👍
Shop drawers just became a thing of beauty!
@@sumosprojects I never left...basically I became a silent viewer.
Michael Alm does some rad things with pattern ply
Oh they are so cool! Get's the mind racing as to the possibilities with design and applications! Top stuff Mark.
Looks pukka mate 👍😎🏴
Gorgeous drawers…and that was some meta level check squaring - check square the square itself!
Awesome work Mark, look super smart them!! 👍
Another great video, I am so glad that I stopped by.
Nice draw faces Mark for a moment i thought it was side effects of my new medications
Looking good marky mark!
Love me some chevrons!! and hilarious ending! You really do hate drawers!
Very good inspiration. Kills a lot of time but infinitely better than unproductive things.
Big improvement on the open shelves and nice looking too. Adding a chamfer is just over the top making life hard! hahaha
Nice work ✌️👍
these look amazing, i would love to see you make a dresser or something with a similar scrap ply technique
I'ma big fan of this mate, great work. Love what you can do with Ply, great material! Got plenty of maths in there too!
Holy cow that's awesome 🥰🥰
@@dainermade Really esthetically pleasing...
Absolutely gorgeous! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏👏👏👏👏
You could always take the drawers out, flip the carcass over and put the drawers back in without flipping the drawers. :D Then your look up thingies would be on the top doing what you meant them to do. Those ply decorations look pretty cool. I suspect you could use watercolor or food coloring to get the color you want on individual strips in that process. The look is similar to your broken skateboard stuff. Was this an easier process or was it easier to do the skateboard process?
Those box beams for clamping are genius! I suspect the wood glue doesn't stick to them very well and you can just use a wire brush to clean them off.
That trick you do with pallet slabs to make a 90 degree waterfall by sliding half of them to the side... I think you could use that trick for corner joints on a decorative box. So that's more inspiration from the Australian pallet master.
Looks Great Mark, and the coloured veneers just make it got Bling
Love it!!!!!
Thank you
Yeah man. I’ve been meaning to do an accent ring like this for a snare drum shell and see what it looks like when made round. I’d need to stabilise it with epoxy though… could be cool.
Nooice!
very cool man, does a number on my eyes, but still very cool!
Trippy pattern I love it
These look amazing Mark! Now looking at the formply left behind by our concreter...
For scrap I think they look awesome
Thats very cool ! Im just not that talented. Great job!
Great work again learning heaps from you
Cool build mate love the drawer fronts
Those look great!
looks great still salty we can't get that Bosch over here in the us.
that looks sooo cool mate! absolutely loving the couloyrs and pattern and thats from scraps....just imagine the potential! looking forwrd to more of these
Well look at Mr "I hate building drawers" go! Well done mate. Such an awesome look.
@@dainermade there’s a jig for that…
Looks great ! Nice one mate 8)
Classy use of the old Kmart spatula 👌
Surprised to not see them used more often for glue etc. I've been using them and the silicon basting brushes for ages to apply glue and paint stripper etc. Less wasted product cause you can pretty much wipe them clean onto whatever you're working on and less product stuck in bristles of brushes. And they are reusable so less $$ wasted on items you might only use once otherwise.
@@dainermade I bought a pack of 2 silicone basting brushes at the local dollar store ( for $1 ) about 10 years ago. Shortened the bristles of one to use for glue and am still using it. The second is hanging on the hook behind it getting cobwebs while waiting its turn.
It's too easy to spend a lot of money when just a little does the trick.
Just discovered your channel. Subscribed. I like the way you present your work.
Oooohhh….they are as sexy as shit Markos….love ‘em!! Now Champerisation… l just looked it up in the Oxford and l couldn’t see it…am l missing something🤔 Great Vid mate 👍😁🇦🇺
Nice mate! Looks as time consuming as end grain chopping boards?
Love ❤️ it, came out So Beautiful 🤩 Was that colored wood that you put in between?
was on the grog last night and seeing your pattern ply , thank F%^& i was sitting done! I got to get me some of those stonking clamping metal thingymajigs , not talking about the pipe clamps. Dang nammit , what you call them Mark ? (straight edge clamping thingy) 🤕🤯
Wow. You're awesome!! Where are you located? I know you said you've made things for others. That's so awesome.
@@dainermade Ok. I sort of figured. Do you ship to the US often? The cost is probably high. I loved the one with the cross pattern you did. You are gifted.
Hello there. Great job. Can you pls tell me how you separate the ply from melamine?
What material do you use for the colours? Great videos
Nice effect, what are the coloured strips made of? Did you make the table saw fence?
That blue and yellow strips, was that some thin stained wood or something else?
Draw fronts look fab.mate I have a question though, where do you source your dyed veneer? Keep up the good Mark. All the best, Brian.
that looks cool. what did you use to dye the offcuts?
You buy it like that. It is dyed maple. From skateboard making companies
interesting. i'll have to look that up. thanks! btw, I'm still using a table saw (70s Craftsman) that someone gave me. I cleaned it up and added a Delta T2 fence and it changed the whole saw.@@dainermade
Thicknessing the face off formply... How did the thicknesser handle it? Do you have a spiral head on that DW735, or the standard straight knives?
Sorry if I missed it in a previous vid - but which model head did you get? Assuming possibly the Timbecon Sherwood?
@@dainermade sweet, thanks mate. I reckon I know which one it is. Glad you're having good results with it - I've been considering the upgrade for a while - but the Aussie market and Aussie dollar makes it a bit tough at times to figure out what options we've got!
What’s the material between the ply?
it is dyed maple veneer (for skateboards)
Hey mate, just a random question.. in your circular saw, how many teeth are on your circular saw blade? I recently tried to cut Melamine with a 36 tooth blade and still had blowout, cheers🍻
No worries mate, cheers for steering me in the right direction 🤙
What wood is the colored ones you used? Why waste drawer space on a formply front if you are going to add a drawer front anyways? Can't you just attach the drawer front to the formply bottom and sides?
Fancy pancy
