somebody on 4chan pointed out that ghetsis's dialogue here is completely different from what we got in the games. he says something along the lines of "even though i am surrounded by evil forces, i will not surrender. this is what i call a CLIMAX!" and laments about how "everything is going the evildoer's way" after being defeated. machine translation is kinda janky but does seem to be in line with what the 4chan post says. ghetsis was probably intended to be an actual believer in the ideals of pokemon liberation, and not a machiavellian supervillain manipulator we know him as today.

The old war with the two brother/dragon fighting. The ancient kingdoms ruins. Ghetsis ancestors. The city of past/future. Team plasma 1/2 : knight -> futuristic ninja. The super scientific. The nostalgy of Kyurem. Returning to a world where pokemon and dresser are equal. Nature vs Pollution. Forest/natural land vs City. (Time travel pokewood film lol) Etc. Some of the theme that we will find at the heart of later game (but i guess it's not that surprisibg because these are a "generic" (((idk the right word, my bad))) plots)
I think the initial idea was that whichever character played the last Pokémon would start playing the last Pokémon song But I think they preferred to put this only for the leaders.
If Reshiram and Zekrom's beta designs ended up being the final designs for the game and made it onto the cover and promo arts as well as anime and tcg i probably as a kid seeing this over 10 years ago would of had nightmares only cause they look like undead or creepy pasta versions of their actual final designs
Interesting you fight n before the legendary in the best unlike in the final where you fight the legendary first than me seems this section of the game was still being work on though because n finale room and alot of beta sprites like n and getsus sprite being lucus and some beta pokemon sprites.

Does anyone know how to get Surf in the beta? I'm stuck after Brycen and don't have surf (Alder gave me TM01 instead of Surf) Alternatively, how can I hack in a pokemon with surf? The save won't work with pkhex
If you're in any of the debug modes, there is a debug menu you can access by pressing L+X which will let you add either items to your inventory or any pokemon to your party. I haven't played the non-debug mode enough to get as far as you have. As far as I can tell, no save file editor will work. I think it has something to do with the headers not matching up with the final game but maybe someone with some ROM hack experience can figure it out soon
I'm not sure, i havent checked. I would be surprised if it even has a shiny form! I haven't had any luck with action replay codes working so I haven't seen yet
@genarftheunfuni5227 There's a pokemon generator in the debug menu, i cut it out because it would've been about 45 minutes of me trying to understand Japanese lol. You have to manually type the name of each pokemon and what moves to give them. There is also an item generator which is much easier

It's the one activated during normal gameplay. Ill see about doing a video commentary video about it because its a weird process in my opinion. There's another option that I think is supposed to replace a pokemon in your party with another but I can't seem to figure that one out.
@mrtesticlease4638 I made a community post with a link to Google Drive. After that you just need a DS emulator, I use Desmume since it seems to work well with the beta ROMs.
@@bmangaming846 I used a modded 3ds to have it run on original hardware. Unfortunately, a lot of the roms do crash frequently. Apparently some people have managed to emulated them so they don't crash
