Leland has been a first-class guy and bad-assed musician for so long that he just films anywhere he damned pleases.
Thank you Leland for showing us this part of recording. It is a precise ability to play within parameters of a larger section to be recorded; it is the work for professional musicians. 👍
The full horn section will always sound best to me than the most advanced synthesizers with all their magic plug-ins. I am jaded.
Like the way you phrased that, continue.
Artemis you are spot on. Always great to read your comments.☮️✌️
😊😊
Artemis, I'm jaded right there with you!
Man....those are some clean attacks, articulations, and releases. Blend and balance was also superb!
👍
I see Wayne Bergeron and Dan Higgins I think. Thanks for doing this Leland. Good luck on the Lyle tour (per your video of the MGM studios).
You do….
Wow! No Artificial Intelligence running through computers…real stuff here, baby! Thank you for sharing…love this..I wish I was in the studio with the Wreaking Crew on Brian Wilson’s Pet Sounds..that must of been amazing in 1966..
All the untold stories walls could tell ☘
@@artemisXsidecrossIndeed Artemis, like 'Sun Studios'...
Elvis, Bill, DJ, Scotty & co.. ☮️🎶🌟💖
Fantastic! I had the pleasure of working with Wayne Bergeron a few years back. What a trumpet player and such a funny and humble guy.
Theres nothing quite like hearing a Brass Band live. It stirs the senses, makes you feel alive!
Man, Leland! Just watched the Phil Collins video, "Inside Out" Seriously Live, Berlin, from 1990!!! Your playing is extraordinarily marvelous! Your style, technique, and feel is amazing to watch. I recommend all UA-camrs to watch that video. Thanks for all your great music over the decades.
Damn the players in that room with those acoustics 10/10.
Holy Cow! Is that Wayne Bergeron I see hiding back there? Awesome. Now I'm going to have to go see the movie just to hear the soundtrack. The man is my trumpet hero.
It is he…
@@lelandsklar6363Who are the other guys? Wayne has a great rep over here in the UK
@@simes205looks like Alex Iles and Andy Martin are in the trombone section, I think that Dan “Mother Superior” Higgins is one of the sax players. Rob Schaer is also on trumpet. Monsters on every chair!
Alex, Andy, Wayne...some of the best!
love the studio peek! thank you sir!
Wow! my high school band NEVER sounded this good -thanks Le
Wayne Bergeron. 🎺 great player...
There's not a more awesome experience than having the privilege to sit in on a scoring session alongside the pros. I've done just that a few times in my life now.
I love this! What a great group of musicians!
Lee you are someone I look up to, for having a better life and minds
George brings so much gear to the sessions.👍🏼
Such a treat to be audience to this. Not without you, Lee. Thanks!
Morning Leland, this is sooo cool👍👍👍

Good morning, Lee! 😁💞
I just love the sounds of the brass section. Reminds me of my days in the band and orchestra and how I miss it so much! 🎺🎷🎺🎷🎶 🥰
Thank you for this wonderful surprise!
Love you so much! ❤🤗🎶💞

Awesome footage! Praying for your wife and family. Thank you for sharing...
What happened to his wife and family?
Majestic. Live studio magic survives
I appreciate you and thank you for making content.
I spy (some guesswork here) Alex Iles, Andy Martin, dunno, Wayne Bergeron, Bob Sheppard, Dan Higgins, & Jay Mason. La Creme de la creme de la creme. Thanks for posting, Lee, feel free to post in-session shots any old time!!
I loved that AND I learned something! Is there such a thing as a bass trombone? Such bright music. Really cool
Wow! Before ProTools, there were pros! Such good players!
That is awesome and fascinating at the same time.👍👌
Fascinating peek behind the curtain!
I like how it’s just George Doering casually putting his gear away.
What a cool life, Lee.
Wow soooo cooool love a little Brass Leland great stuff as always peace out Cincy
GEEZ, what perfection! I hope to see when you're playing, Lee. I'm diggin this.. 🤗
This is fascinating. Thanks for sharing.
Cool thing to be a fly on the wall for..thank you.
Great studio! Thanks for the inside look Lee!
No clamming around here ..😘 Well played, thanks Leland for letting us sit in 😉!
Thanks Leland! This is so great! Cheers.
Wow! This is an amazing display of professionalism and musicianship!!
Thank you Leland. So interesting to see such how such music is recorded. It is easy to take such horn fills for granted when we hear them in the mix. It is good reminder to see it is real people making hard things sound beautiful.
Probably started with Marching Band for these guys now they are playing on movie soundtracks.
I will definitely see this film! There is a few bars that sound a bit sinister.
Thanks Leland!❤
Pros at work, fascinating. Making music that will sadly go unnoticed by many viewers of the film.
Sir Lee,
Good evening and fantastic, thank you for sharing
Wow. What a treat is this. The sound was really good. Again thanks to your phone. So many layers. Left and right. I couldn’t see clearly but three of the same saxophones bring so much soul to the sound and the rest of the horns were very upfront.
Thank you for sharing. Loved it. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
And now your bass part. 😉
Greetings bass guru.
awesome! what an amazing room.
Even these legendary studio cats hit a clam once in a while! Great playing and cool to see a recording session like this.
This sounds pretty cool. I wish Maureen all the best. Cheers, Leland! 🙏✌️
Thank you for another awesome treat!
Man that sounds good !
The last two days have been very interesting. Thank you.❤❤🙏
Amazing acoustics in that room.
Another Leland behind the screen moment. Very cool!
You will know the answer to this Mr Sklar , but I can't begin to imagine the satisfaction gained when recording pieces of music live , then hearing your work being relayed to the world through video or film or other ,a while later ...existing for all time ? Especially when it is performed to the highest standard possible ! Can you describe the feeling for us all sometime in one of your episodes ? Thankyou kindly for sharing .
❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing this 'where the real work is done' session. I didn't know that Stumpy Joe played trombone, or is it my eyes lol. You sounded very happy to hear Jim Cox's name yesterday. Thanks again.
Great stuff, Lee. I’ve enjoyed the trip to WB.
This is fly-on-the-studio-wall stuff! Love it!!!
Outstanding discipline !!
I absolutely love this. I hope you do more of this Leland. Fascinating
Admiro muito você Leland. A minha infância foi marcada com o seu trabalho no Phil Collins.. obrigado por fazer parte da minha vida .*******
How cool🔥❤️
awesome. thank you
Thanks!!! Sounds amazing 👌🏻
Wow! What we never see. Fascinating. Thank you, Leland. Love to Maureen and the boys.
Hi,Carol ❤,hope all is well..❤
Wow man, this is so cool to watch! You just never know what it takes to put a movie together when you're in the cinema munchin popcorn...
Wow, what a treat.
So awesome.
I love watching pros go to work.
Dang! Thank you for this snippet. Love everything about it!
Now that’s what I want to do! Gotta break the horn back out so I can hopefully end up doing sessions like that in a few years.
That's super cool.
Thanks, Lee!
🙏🏻🤍
The best cats!
Very cool to see this....Thank you, lee................Ralph Onofrio
Looks like fun!
How amazingly cool
Perfectly cool, thank you! 💕 ✨️
Amazing skills. No wasting time!
Wayne Bergeron on trumpet 1 and (I think), Andy Martin on trombone 1.
What a great opportunity you give us. Thank you very much Lee. 💖💖
Love seeing how the sausage is made
👍👍 Great! Thanks for showing us this!!!
Ah, the glamour of the movie biz. 😁
Speaking of, . . I just read your interview in Fortune. Fantastic article though they should have mentioned this UA-cam channel. Congratulations and well worth my 5/5 free articles.
Cool! My niece clears all the music and other IP at Disney.
Wow….so that’s what it really looks like! Very cool. Thanks for sharing, Leland! I love this! Why aren’t there any women playing instruments?
No particular reason. These guys work together all the time. The composers are both women. They are in the booth.
@@lelandsklar6363 very cool! Thanks for responding. With such amazing talent represented in the whole production, I thought there must surely be some brilliant women somewhere! (Wink, wink) 😸
Such a cool video, just love seeing the inner workings of this!
Чисто играют, мне нравится.
If you get a chance, talk to Alex Isles (trombone). One of the nicest guys, very passionate, and an interesting path to get where he is today
Such a high level of genius
Very Cool!!!!!!!!
Thank you Lee, what a treat this is!
Kick ass!!
Was that George Deoring packing up his guitar? He da man!
Brilllllliant - the trombones out of sync - 😎 cool
These 2 days of movie studio work are really interesting. Here you're in the realm of reading musicians as you were for the Grammy Premier. I'm curious as to who sat behind that beautiful drum kit we saw yesterday. Love and Thanks ❤👍❤👍
Hi Tom❤
Bernie Dresel
@@lelandsklar6363 Thanks! I looked him up on Wikipedia. Impressive! And, another musician inspired by the Beatles, although at the earliest age I've heard of!
@LeelandSklar Hey Lee, I just found out about Bob Heil, I am always so busy that I never heard this. What a great guy, I knew him for about 30 years. He was one of the smartest people I have ever known. I hadn't talked to him in about 5 years.
.
COOL!!
Hi,Gina
Thank you
Horns👍🎶🎶
