As someone who has put literally 3000+ hours into WW2 zombies, completed every single character challenge, and done every Easter Egg more times than I can count, it is definitely my favorite iteration of zombies by a long shot. I made so many friends online who were just as passionate about this zombies mode as I was and the community surrounding this game in its prime was unlike anything I’ve seen before or since. I could sit here and list off tricks for doing challenges, Easter Egg steps……the whole nine yards but there’s just so much to this game I would be here forever talking about it On top of all that, if it wasn’t for WW2 zombies I would never have met my fiancé and gotten off of hard drugs. We both had a mutual friend who lived in Nevada who made a joke saying that “you’re both Canadian so you should know each other.” We happened to live an hour and a half away from each other so we decided to hang out one day and eventually we started dating and to this day we’ve been together for over 4 years and have a beautiful home together I feel like I owe everything to WW2 zombies because of how much it changed my life
I absolutely loved Infinite Warfare, the easter eggs were all amazing with their somewhat challenging boss fights and great weapons. I loved the idea where after you beat all the easter eggs, you unlock Directors Cut which allows you to start with all the perks and other boosts. Overall it’s my favorite Call of Duty game ever.
Extinction being a completely new mode on a first draft (basically your cod waw zombies) is really well made and put together. It's unfortunate the community and Devs didn't back it up as much as zombies. Extinction 2 would've been awesome with semi open world, combining ideas of Awakening and Exodus on one big map would've been an adventure. But nah we copying zombies y'all. You'll appreciate extinction the more you play and experiment. I think the main issue was having teeth upgrade stupidly overpriced. Most of the game changing upgrades are locked behind absurd grind that will easily burn u from playing again and again, it's absurd how low the teeth income is per game. The amount of times you have to play to get fun upgrades like Double Class, Cryptid Slayer and Master Scavenger upgrade is just way, way too much. Can't defend everything.
For a first try they did amazing with it. If they would have made Extinction 2 it could've been so much better. Maybe they'd balance the create a class so everything is viable. Stuff like tank class and death machine were worthless. Then with the maps they could be open ended, with more difficult aliens and final bosses/escapes. It always bums me out how on point of contact you escape with like 2 minutes to spare, way too easy. And then make the upgrades cost way less. Double class should've been like 200, master scavenger 75, cryptid slayer ammo 125. I played the hell out of extinction and am still nowhere near getting double class. It's absurd that they expect you to play like 80 matches for it.
The problem with teeth is that while they did make it possible to get more teeth per match, they also made early game teeth impossible to earn because they removed them aside from the "bonus pool" which was awful. So you had to do well to get 20ish teeth per match. I found the quickest way to grind is running a ton of relics on Mayday because you can finish it within 45min-1hr if you play it right.
@@scottjs5207 Even then after 3 matches within a week I get burned out on Extinction and just don't want to play anymore. The grind is just ridiculous. It's like if you had to beat the easter egg 50 times on bo3 to unlock Perkaholic.
I think what hurt Extinction the most was that the "demo" that came with the base game was short to the point where you would hit the end of the playable content in less than 30 minutes and it got stale fast. I liked it but it was so short I expected the expansions from the DLCs to be as short and with the same little replayability and again completely linear, so I never bothered buying any of them and just went back to playing BO1 and BO2. They squandered a whole lot of potential with it and it looked great for being a 2013 game, if done well it could rival the zombies game mode but they never really tried it feels.
As a person who played mw3 survival resistance was my favourite map to plan mainly because it was the only map I'd play call me what you want but there was a glitch in the parking lot outskirts of G.I.G.N spawn if you'd lay down on the boot of a green car (or whatever car that is next to it) the enemies would ignore you and this was so O.P even against jugs it would work and Aw's survival was meh the enemies were kinda annoying... (I'm talkin about you cloaking guys that needed threat grenades to counter them) as for exo zombos outbreak it one of the if not the only map I have liked / played
I grew up on COD WW2 (unfortunate I know) but the zombies mode was my favorite. Me and my friend tried to Speedrun getting Drostan to say “You’re ok, rub some dirt in it!” As fast as possible. I also loved the character design and concept of the sword zombies: they walk slowly towards you and only occasionally charge towards you to do a big attack meanwhile the horde acts like a L4D2 type of horde that will get you downed instantly.
RIP Ghosts' Safeguard mode. The forgotten CoD survival mode. Also while it was made by Treyarch, BO3 did have the Combat Immerson survival mode in the campaign
WW2 zombies deserved a sequel honestly the gameplay and them bringing back the fun in packing a gun with different stuff they could do and the amazing art direction with the gore and all its really a shame it didnt get a sequel
Literally the greatest zombies I’ve been waiting for a sequel ! We need it and the multiplayer was groundbreaking being able to access lobbies and walk around
In advanced warfare you missed in the survival portion that the final map had an easter egg where if you survive for long enough you get a preview to the zombies mode where you had to survive till extraction fighting zombies and then you would get a cool ending and the backstory to that cutscean for zombies
Extinction was goated, I don't care what people say. Most hated it right off the bat because "it's not zombies" and others hated it because it was hard. It had a great squad based class system, unique enemy types, great maps, and awesome bosses/boss waves. It absolutely deserves a comeback.
IW's zombies was def peak for me. not as interesting in terms of lore and characters, but extremely fun, spunky and it had you hooked for hours. Overhated game.
I enjoyed extinction. I still remember shooting that neon sign with the sniper and it would cause LOL to appear then all the aliens to explode into plushies. So many people thought there was a hacker in the game.
I know everyone hates the way WW2 looks (grey dull and whatnot) but I really like it because they definitely intended to do this to make the world feel connected (i think Cameron Dayton who was creative director at the time said this himself iirc) which the Jimmy Zelinski maps of Bo2 were going for as well before buried
I loved IW in general as a casual player, the zombies was awesome. super cool ideas and designs. WW2 was also one of my favorites as a casual player, the multi was pretty fun with the HQ and the zombies was a nice take on the mode.
I did the shalion shuffle Easter egg and I never knew it was as hard as he said, im sure I got carried but the Katana that you get for it is so worth it and I was like 10 😭 coolest thing ever

I laughed far far more then i expected going into this. That Obama bit at the beginning took me so off guard. Great shit, dude. Keep it up:)
In advanced warfare they actually had a zombies easter egg in the survival mode. Although having zombies locked behind dlc is kind of scummy, I do think that it was cool that they were hyping people up with that little teaser.
Survival has the potential to be as good and as fun as zombies. A horde mode build your own base against enemy ai forces is a tried and true fun game type.
Before xlabs shut down me and my friends did a run through of extinction and exo zombies. Those game modes are so much fun and if anyone hasn't played them, I implore you to try then.
I had fond memories of completing Extinction with my brother. slowly getting further along in the map, talking through our strategy and loadouts. It felt so good finishing First Contact with him for the first time
As someone who spent almost 3 weeks completing everything in IWZ solo there are some things that you can do to make easter eggs easier: - For the aliens DO NOT use normal weapons. That makes the boss fight last longer than intended. - Guides from popular youtubers are usually outdated/terrible. For example, there's a auto solver for AOTRT that makes the chemistry step the easiest part of the map. - There are teleporters on AOTRT for fast travel. - The Beast from beyond boss fight is the easiest one sijce you can instakill the bosses before they spawn. Also you can camp the entire time with minimal movement. - In Shaolin and Beast you can recover your perks if go down in the boss fight. - For Mephistopheles i recommend getting a weapon that has the Ninja perk. Essentially enemies ignore you when you reload and its very useful for the last phase.
The attack of the radioactive thing has a teleporter system to get around the regions, to make it easier. Honestly, the EE for the map isn't bad except for the chemist portion. Everything else is rather interesting with the retrieval of the zombie parts to the boss fight being a bit unique. Alt be stressful due to the bomb code and jumping portion. Another thing that I found left out was the loot boxes are earnable in mass in infinite warfare. you could typically get a common every game. Also, salvage and key bounties that awards mass amounts. On top of that shoaling shuffle has a key method on it that's really easy for the casual player to earn nearly everything in the loot box system after a day or so. I just wish they'd make the maps all free at this point cause there's actually a good amount of people that still play that release of zombies just half of them only own a map or so, and the director's cut makes it so much fun. Also unfortunately you didn't cover the director's cut which I was hopeful for. After beating the 5 main easter eggs, you'd get access to a packed wheel, all perks on start, and 25k letting you causally play the map and work towards doing easter eggs again to fight the super boss. However, you only need the 5 soul keys (initial fights) in order to get the director's cut. Also left out were the unlockable characters after every single map was beaten.
I was about to mention the portals on attack of the radioactive thing. But also, it is a completely different way to do zombies. Instead of just dumping bullets into sponges like some other bosses, and it turns it into a mad dash to hit the numbers on the code correctly. Also, the layers can be completely skipped, once double acid is shot, ( need mana up as a mandatory perk) then make sure you have it ready, once double acid is down, mana up then make a made dash through acid to bomb. This is by far the easiest part if you have mana up. Cos if you have a derp on your team who can't dodge lazers it becomes rather hard
@@MrTriqks don't even need mana up if you have someone dash right as the acids up and get downed by the tp they cna just be picked up right next. Did it woth my one buddy who wasn't great at zombies yo get the first clesr

I dont really care about cod but the quality of the editing and production is amazing. Great stuff and even tho cod never was my thing, I still found the vid really entertaining. Keep it up!
Hey Marco. Starting watching your content from the very start of the division 1 days and just rediscovered your channel recently. Glad to see youre still going strong keep it up man !
I 100% give credit to extinction for being a very unique and interesting game mode that tried new things and took risks. No hate, it did well for what it was. Molders for classic zombies have even borrowed ideas from those maps and made some great content inspired by them.
With exo zombies you did miss in survival the final prison map when you play to the end you get introduced to the zombies storyline. Its actually pretty cool going from soldiers and then the bomb that oz mentions in the first map going off and then the map fills with zombies you have to survive for 5 rounds where you try to escape with an exfil but ultimately the helicopter gets brought down. Really cool way to introduce the game mode without a map on disc
Just curious, did you do the hardcore Easter egg on the first map? I personally loved the fact that there was a "casual" Easter egg that was like a main quest. But then there's a hardcore version that's similar to the normal quest but more difficult and hidden like a traditional Easter egg.
Extinction was so fun honestly. I wished they continued with this mode instead of going back to zombies. It was a nice break from zombies. It's a shame it was tied to Ghosts because they may have gone bigger with the mode AND continued it.
I think what made extinction bad for people was that it was new and big I think if it was remastered or released this year it would have a good fan base and player base
Zombies in spaceland, and extinction have warm places in my heart. I loved extinction more than any other “zombies” other than black ops 2. Especially mayday, where you fight the kraken. Advanced warfare i also actually spent alot of time on aswell, and i think exo zombies wasn’t really that bad either.
I'm so glad someone made a video not entirely bashing Exo zombies. All the flaws aside, I LOVE the game mode. It provides a genuine challenge to it. And I think it does something that Treyarch zombies has been trying to do with Cold War but better: Maintain and balance difficulty. My problem with Cold War is that they changed the entirety of the mechanics for absolutely no reason. I don't like the tier system whatsoever, it is just as bad as the printer from exo. Edit: Not the printer. Whatever tf they call the upgrade thingy in AW
I havent watched your vids since div 1, so when i got on the zombie train again and saw your name pop up i was overjoyyed! Then Obama popped up and even i felt attacked lol
The whole “They can send in squads to help but can’t extract you.” Thing for survival makes some sense. It can be easier to put more people in an area than take them out, especially since it is MUCH harder to climb up a rappel rope than actually use it as intended. On most of the maps the Helicopters don’t even have space to land.
Iw Had fun zombies. The forest one was cool and the beach one with Elvira and crabs was my favorite to beat. Spaceland was amazing I loved the park map and games you could play. Hard ending. Loved how all the maps let you play the boss fights separately also. The last space one was cool how it brought back extinction aliens ! Hard af and dope map! OG extinction mode was always fun to play! Time to setup before attacks and loot areas. That’s what made it great and the alien types.
I think you kind of missed some points for Extinction but maybe you didn't play it enough. There were also 5 separate prestiges in the game mode with 5 more added per dlc. But also, you unlock the ability to use relics and using multiple gives you good multipliers as they made you less powerful/make the game harder. This all added to the replay value and getting a good team that all used mics made the game mode incredibly fun
Marco, you are an amezing youtuber. I enjoy every video i watch. Yeah maybe you left out some games, but thanks to you, i buyed every black ops games i didnt had already. Please stay on this site!
i understand youre being self aware and what not, but if you're probing to see if what you're doing now is working, i can tell that it is. i love this type of content, it takes a butt load of time and effort i agree and when the payoff is abysmal, no one wants to keep doing it. i for one would love to see you continue doing these types of videos going in depth and essentially reviewing games, however there's a number of things to look out for, does it bring you happiness? if it does, keep at it, its sure to take off because its great work! but if not, maybe do some videos for the fact that you planned them and maybe its time to move on. some words of consolation, your channel isnt dead, you aren't just a 28- year old beating a dead horse, trying to squeeze some revenue out of a dead channel. you revolutionized a certain type of content and i will always come back to you for that! dont beat yourself up too much and well be proud of what you've accomplished, good luck!
It makes sense to explain treyarch only zombies because almost every treyarch zombies mode connects to the same storyline and the others like advanced warfare and infinite warfare don't connect to them
What i liked so much about IW Zombies is that all the thematics are just Halloween from different eras including an icon character from said era, it's just so good
Even though Extinction was a mixed bag I really wish they expanded the idea of it in a future game. Not like they did in Infinite Warfare, but maybe kinda like what they did with Outbreak in Cold War.

i remember survival i was probably the most hyped kid in the world for that stuff and i couldnt even play it until like 2014 because i was poor. but i deadass made friends with a guy just so i could go to his house to play mw3 survival... my favourite map was probably resistance or bog
Ive never even heard of Payday. I guarantee mw3 survival has a larger community than whatever that game is

I could sit here and list off tricks for doing challenges, Easter Egg steps……the whole nine yards but there’s just so much to this game I would be here forever talking about it
On top of all that, if it wasn’t for WW2 zombies I would never have met my fiancé and gotten off of hard drugs. We both had a mutual friend who lived in Nevada who made a joke saying that “you’re both Canadian so you should know each other.” We happened to live an hour and a half away from each other so we decided to hang out one day and eventually we started dating and to this day we’ve been together for over 4 years and have a beautiful home together
I feel like I owe everything to WW2 zombies because of how much it changed my life
yo what do you play on? im looking for players
@simz5347 I mean, I play WW2 on playstation🤷♂️
I’m also on PS4 but have no PS+
Wow what a great story.

The modes that never were developed were outstanding!
The design of the zombies in COD WW2 were probably the best out of all the cod games with zombies
The door at 47:20, jeeeesus that shit was gnarly
Still makes me cringe in horror but WW2 zombies was one of my favorites@@ZonicCeasor
I swear they used the data and feedback from the community for Cold Wars upgrade system
I loved exo zombies and really want to see it again soon
Maybe after cod 2024
But just add the 3 tier pap

Survival was one of the best co-op experiences I had as a kid playing with my friends trying to survive as long as we could. Good times man
ONG THO
Facts
As a person who played mw3 survival resistance was my favourite map to plan mainly because it was the only map I'd play call me what you want but there was a glitch in the parking lot outskirts of G.I.G.N spawn if you'd lay down on the boot of a green car (or whatever car that is next to it) the enemies would ignore you and this was so O.P even against jugs it would work and Aw's survival was meh the enemies were kinda annoying... (I'm talkin about you cloaking guys that needed threat grenades to counter them) as for exo zombos outbreak it one of the if not the only map I have liked / played
I miss it they tried in other games of cod but wasn't the og version
Same man👍
I grew up on COD WW2 (unfortunate I know) but the zombies mode was my favorite.
I thought Safeguard survival mode was way better then MW3 survival mode & exo
I loved safeguard it's a really good mode
Okay, that Obama bit was actually hilarious and there's seemingly not a single comment about it. Let it be known, I laughed.
WW2 zombies deserved a sequel honestly the gameplay and them bringing back the fun in packing a gun with different stuff they could do and the amazing art direction with the gore and all its really a shame it didnt get a sequel
Time for WWlll
Literally the greatest zombies I’ve been waiting for a sequel ! We need it and the multiplayer was groundbreaking being able to access lobbies and walk around
Extinction was honestly my favourite out of all zombie like modes. I played so much of that mode
In advanced warfare you missed in the survival portion that the final map had an easter egg where if you survive for long enough you get a preview to the zombies mode where you had to survive till extraction fighting zombies and then you would get a cool ending and the backstory to that cutscean for zombies
He showed it at the beginning so I guess that counts
Cod ghosts actually had a survival mode in private match like MW3
MW3 survival is something that will always hold a special place in my heart
Mine too wish they would remake it to play again
Mw3 will always have special in my heart I love the game so much
It was the best time with homies! They should have expanded that
Dude that Obama bit had me rolling 💀
Awesome video btw 👌
Extinction was goated, I don't care what people say. Most hated it right off the bat because "it's not zombies" and others hated it because it was hard. It had a great squad based class system, unique enemy types, great maps, and awesome bosses/boss waves. It absolutely deserves a comeback.
Yeah ✝️
agreed
i liked extinction better than any zombies
They were just biased in treyarcs favour.
That Obama call at the beginning was wonderful. Got me laughing pretty hard. Nice touch
Extinction was insane and what's even more insane is how InfinityWard/Activision dropped it
I know everyone hates the way WW2 looks (grey dull and whatnot) but I really like it because they definitely intended to do this to make the world feel connected (i think Cameron Dayton who was creative director at the time said this himself iirc) which the Jimmy Zelinski maps of Bo2 were going for as well before buried
Yeah it was a great game overall, it got way too much unnecessary hate

In advanced warfare they actually had a zombies easter egg in the survival mode. Although having zombies locked behind dlc is kind of scummy, I do think that it was cool that they were hyping people up with that little teaser.
Infinite Warfare Zombies is so underrated and incredibly fun
The editing on this is too good, top tier!
Survival has the potential to be as good and as fun as zombies. A horde mode build your own base against enemy ai forces is a tried and true fun game type.
I love that you include 4k and 1440p resolutions, a lot of YT'ers just do 1080p
Before xlabs shut down me and my friends did a run through of extinction and exo zombies. Those game modes are so much fun and if anyone hasn't played them, I implore you to try then.
Your editing is so satisfying to watch amazing job man

working on it. I have multiple videos about halfway done right now so expect to see a lot more uploads over the summer.
Toxicity? In the COD community???? That's just unheard of!
I had fond memories of completing Extinction with my brother. slowly getting further along in the map, talking through our strategy and loadouts. It felt so good finishing First Contact with him for the first time
As someone who spent almost 3 weeks completing everything in IWZ solo there are some things that you can do to make easter eggs easier:
- For the aliens DO NOT use normal weapons.
Did it woth my one buddy who wasn't great at zombies yo get the first clesr
i really appreciateted the immersive voiceacting and animations/interactions of enemies and allies in MW3 Survival back then
Another banger by Brad Garlinghouse that I will watch over the next few weeks
WWII Zombies had such a great aesthetic
You missed out on Director's Cut in Infinite Warfare. It was by far the coolest thing in that game.
I like extinction. I found it really fun and it seemed like a totally different game
Marco, I would like to say I love your videos you are so underrated you should have a million subs. The humour in your videos and the editing you do is like no other UA-camr, I have followed you since the division 1 days. I really enjoy these long videos you do, I am lucky because I love zombies and destiny so I am interested to see what the next videos will be about.
Glad to see you're enjoying the new content style too. Here's hoping it works in the long run.
Extinction was a great game mode. i really wish they continued it further, i actually liked the fact that it wasnt just the typical "survive as long as you can" that gets old quick.
The sections where he did things "on purpose" killed me and had me dying. Keep up the good work!
Extinction was so fun honestly. I wished they continued with this mode instead of going back to zombies. It was a nice break from zombies. It's a shame it was tied to Ghosts because they may have gone bigger with the mode AND continued it.
7:38 this honestly what flinch feels like when you're playing the game, because when you flinch your aim goes to jack all
I think what made extinction bad for people was that it was new and big I think if it was remastered or released this year it would have a good fan base and player base
And I think it does something that Treyarch zombies has been trying to do with Cold War but better:
Maintain and balance difficulty.
On most of the maps the Helicopters don’t even have space to land.
despite everyone hating extinction, both ghosts and extinction are my favourite cod games and always will be
Iw Had fun zombies.
That’s what made it great and the alien types.
that 1st exo zombies map back on ps3 hit different though
I think you kind of missed some points for Extinction but maybe you didn't play it enough. There were also 5 separate prestiges in the game mode with 5 more added per dlc. But also, you unlock the ability to use relics and using multiple gives you good multipliers as they made you less powerful/make the game harder. This all added to the replay value and getting a good team that all used mics made the game mode incredibly fun
Facts. Exactly
Omg the cosplay as one of Logan Paul’s props killed me.

i understand youre being self aware and what not, but if you're probing to see if what you're doing now is working, i can tell that it is. i love this type of content, it takes a butt load of time and effort i agree and when the payoff is abysmal, no one wants to keep doing it. i for one would love to see you continue doing these types of videos going in depth and essentially reviewing games, however there's a number of things to look out for, does it bring you happiness? if it does, keep at it, its sure to take off because its great work! but if not, maybe do some videos for the fact that you planned them and maybe its time to move on. some words of consolation, your channel isnt dead, you aren't just a 28- year old beating a dead horse, trying to squeeze some revenue out of a dead channel. you revolutionized a certain type of content and i will always come back to you for that! dont beat yourself up too much and well be proud of what you've accomplished, good luck!
It makes sense to explain treyarch only zombies because almost every treyarch zombies mode connects to the same storyline and the others like advanced warfare and infinite warfare don't connect to them
What? Riot zombies came before Outbreak. 18:45 You could unlock a zombies mode on it…after getting to round 10 on it you get one round of zombies.
