The mission is finding out whether one of my favorite lakes still contains fish, and filming wild aquatic salamanders, which are related to the Axolotl. I like how appreciative this guy is for every catch he makes, and even puts the fish out of misery asap. More people should respect nature as he does.

I guess if you're going for Skyrim vibes, then you could try THE WITCHER Series or other Elder Scrolls games to get a feel of their music :D

Over in the UK, me and the misses have three of these “salamanders” however we call those “Axolotls”
Yeah they are called axolotls here too but I guess he just didn’t know what they are
I am pretty sure he used the word „axolotl“ under a different and most likely older video.
My 10 year old son just recently moved to WA and I just showed him this video, he loves salamanders. He loved this video, and can’t wait to go exploring in his new backyard! Thank you for making this ❤️

During fishing high mountain lakes I often consider all the species that were wiped out with the introduction of European trout, it made my day to know there are still salamanders up there. You may want to let a local wildlife officer know where you found them, it could be important to a biologist one day.

The underwater footage really sets your channel apart. Those dragonfly nymphs are really amazing underwater predators. Salamanders are quite poisonous (something like a single salamander in a bucket of water can kill several adults) so it's actually possible that the trout were killed off in that first pond. Lastly, if you cut a few deep slits in the trout it won't curl up in the pan.
Correct me if im wrong but I'm pretty sure those are Axolotl, no poison, safe to touch, only reason you don't eat them is because they're endangered and people will knock on your door

You know I’ve heard people talk about poison ivy but I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen it. Same goes for Sumac. I’ll be sure to let you guys know when I get into some 😂 👌🏼

I have a lot of respect for poison IVY because i have come in contact with it more than once , also much respect to nature and people ! This guy is talking about the berries and wild flowers in the video so I brought this up because he goes through herbs , trees and basically making his own trail .. believe me when you’re on uncharted land it can be helpful to recognize poison ivy ! It’s really painful and serious ! Peace man 🙂✌️

Well I live in California and I have come in contact with it more than once … I have much respect for it .. it’s painful and to be honest when I explore uncharted places it’s not the same anymore , I’m always on the look out ! Just Thought I asked you about it because you mention the berries and wild flowers in the video so it’s good to know how to identify sumac because of its poisonous berries and flowers for poison ivy !
