El Matador Beach, Malibu - Best Beach in Malibu?

Is El Matador State Beach in Malibu one of the best beaches in California? Parking is $8 and limited, but that just means this gorgeous coastline gem isn't over overcrowded either. Get your inner kid on and explore these cool sea caves and rock formations along this beautiful beach near Los Angeles and right off the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH).

We closed out the year with an epic road trip to California in style, checking out some of the best SoCal has to offer - beautiful coastlines and beaches, gorgeous mountains with hiking and mountain biking trails, tiny islands off in the Pacific Ocean, and also the hottest, driest and lowest place in the United States - and hottest in the world. Not only did we sneak in time for some fun on rollercoasters and other amusement park attractions at Santa Monica Pier. Zuma is a cool beach, but if you need to skip, go to Matador absolutely. Place is awesome
