This is great. I'm a big fan. Remember going on The Nirvana Internet Fan Club back in the day (90s-early 2000s) trying to find any footage. This blew my mind. Thanks
One of the funniest things of Nirvana was that you didn't really know if Krist was drunk or not. But in this video... I would be surprised if he said he was not.
I need more of that muppet in the beginning, in my life. Show me the way. Kurt's outfit alone should have been enough for that interviewer to know, he wanted to be incognito.
If someone came up too me with a mic after I have been doing interviews and playing shows all fucking day, I would be pissed off too. Leave these people alone. I am so glad Krist called him spiritually desperate.
you are such a loser. what kind of moron buys into those fabricated fake ass stories of the white mans atrocities in history books ? a racist who is looking for a reason to blame innocent people. white people arent your punching bag, loser. its time you recognize the filth and lies of each bullshit culture who made it all up. cause none are intelligent enough to take authority over decent white people, who happen to rule the world forever cause they invented the computer and most other shit. cant make a democracy now that each culture is exposed for the anti white jealous collectives they have always been. the kids are taught that fake history. nazis arent german or white. pure jealousy and delusion...you mad bro?
Th' Great Scrubblepuss That's a cute little fantasy, which can easily be dispelled with a quick glance of your deluded ramblings posted above lol. You have the intellect of an amoeba.
I love Krist face before Kurt leaves. Like he knows from the moment the reporter starts the sentence and is thinking "this poor guy". He's just waiting. He knows he's pissing Kurt...a little ;)
Wow......this is truly incredible to see! Well, the Nirvana part in the Paradise bar in Boston I mean. I was there that night. I saw Nirvana play in Springfield, MA the night before and went to see The Buzzcocks in Boston the next night, which is this footage seen here. Nirvana was at the Buzzcock's show on a day off from the In Utero tour. I noticed them after the showed hanging around. Got to hang out and talk with both bands. It was surreal as hell. Epic night! Saw Nirvana play Fitchburg State College the next night also. 3 days of total fun and music! RIP Kurt. Thanks for the music!
Kurt is a much different person than he's portrayed, I love the whole bands attitudes. You don't see that anymore......I need a time machine!!! When punk was good!
This is one of so many interviews I've seen where the interviewer is so intrusive and the band is just not having it or even really agreed to speak in the first place. Its like they don't care about their personal time or space and demand that they answer their questions. That or they're really terrible at picking up other people's vibes. Haha.
I would too. There's a time & place to seek an interview, cornering ppl in a bar while they're trying to relax is rude. Although Kurt was only drinking water, it still doesn't mean that some dude in a brand new leather jacket can just accost him & "crash the party" so to speak. I think he also left first bcuz of the attention that would've been focused on him if Krist & the other guys hadn't said anything. Everyone wanted his time back then, wanted to be around him, & by that point he was over it. The novelty wore off & it became intrusive. Eventually everyone would've left that dude there, but leave it to Krist to challenge dude to witty remarks & cheeky comments! Krist was the life of the party & usually helped keep discussion going even if he was drunk! I'm guessing that he was a reader too, as he seemed to have the kind of articulation of one who reads often! I think he took it the hardest & is still torn by Kurt's murder.
Knute Lindstrom yep. Im still on the fence with how he died. Im still torn that he isnt here anymore. I grew up listening to Nirvana at a young age and love that hes such a genuine person and not some fabricated person to put at the front of a band. Everything you basically said i cant disagree with bro, well said.
I don't think the interview pissed him off...it's the fact they're ignoring the Buzzcocks, and he asks in a basically indirect way "oh I know a lot of people annoy you, I know I am annoying you, how do you like being annoyed?" That's what I got out of that cause he seemed fine before.
I agree. as soon as Kurt left you can tell the interviewer was ready to wrap it up and go elsewhere. He zeroed right in on Kurt even though it wasn’t a nirvana show. You can tell he was trying to be incognito. I love krists response at the end. Dead af 😂
He was too close just shoving that mic in all their faces , weird to see usually tall krist second guess his words in that moment they could of went to blows , I think interviewer guy would never have stared at him if he was upright
Yeah ...says very little and leaves as quickly as possible. Damn , the man can't just chill out at the bar and have a drink without some dick asking questions and shoving a microphone in his face.
SpamNapkin Yeah, they sounded pretty good. Their lead singer was Dave Sardy, who's now an alt-rock producer for many notable acts including my fave, Oasis - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Sardy#Productions
Thank ye, I had to scroll down way too much to find this comment, should've been in the description or top comment. Everyone's jerking off about Kurt but I'm over here digging this intense song.
damn, you can tell Kurt was famous by this time and couldn't even go out in public, thats why he was wearing that coat with the hood, thats some michael jackson and leo dicaprio shit
Never seen that before! Wow. It saddens me to watch this because of another waste opportunity of talking decently with Kurt. Ok, this was not really an agreed interview, he was basically sticking his mic into his face without really asking for permission. But you see, Kurt just walked off at the point where the questions got really ridiculous. I thought that nowadays everyone thinks he/she is a journalist without being able to be one but this seems to be an old problem. By the way: I think Kurt wouldn't be able to stand our times. TMZ, smartphones-videos and pictures of him taken all the time, self-appointed blog judges to judge and so on. If he had survived, he would definitely drifted into a personal exil and into oblivion for his own best. Maybe locking himself in a house an create art for himself.
Mathias Waldmann It is very unfortunate that he died the way he did, but he is nowhere near "another waste opportunity." He experienced more and impacted more people in his 27 years than most people do in their entire life. He will continue to inspire even though he has passed.
tiemyshoes92 You are right but I was talking about the interview being a waste opportunity. I think Kurt had much to say, he was a connaisseur of literature, art and music and all he is asked here is about stupid nonsense. That was what I was refering to. Here is my exact quote: "It saddens me to watch this because of another waste opportunity of talking decently with Kurt. Ok, this was not really an agreed interview, he was basically sticking his mic into his face without really asking for permission."
I feel bad for Kurt because I guess he wanted to stay hidden because he was wearing his hood up with a hat and this guy walks up and puts a mic in his face but then again Kurt wore his clothes layered like that but only Kurt knows
He layered his clothes because it was cold and because he was uncomfortable with how skinny he was, but didn't usually whip out a hat and hoodie unless he was trying to hide. That guy very much blew his cover and that's why he left.
Weird enough seeing a video of Nirvana hanging out that I haven't seen before, but the fact that they're at the Paradise (where I've been dozens of times) catching the Buzzcocks is pretty crazy
+Connor B Krist said it himself. He stopped drinking heavily for a while as he'd spent most of late 91 inebriated. But he never quit drinking per se. If you watch the 12/10/93 interview, he's drunk, and drinking more and more red wine as the video goes on. :)
I just researched the band... this guy happens to be--THE DAVE SARDY... the same guy who composed "estasi del anima" which is one of my fave musical pieces. man i can't fuckin believe it.. but it kinda makes sense. Another work of his, "exorcism" (also my fave) on the ghostrider ost is very reminiscent of barkmarket, guitar playing wise
yeah, Kurt is def. trying to be discrete w/his hat on and hood up - which are blatant hints that he doesn't want to be bothered - I'm just wondering why the guy from The Buzzcocks pointed in the direction Kurt walked off to..before he got up and left.
if Nirvana isn't a treasure in your music collection, the rest of the bands don't make up for the lost awesomeness of Nirvana; so in other words, crappy music.
nirvana are great from ages 12 to 19, then you grow up. A bit like the Doors. Deep when you are a teenager, self-indulgent nonsense when you are mentally an adult., Go on, hate me, I know you want to......
I hate seeing interviewers just interrupting celebrities hangouts for stupid conversations, like just leave people alone. Same thing for the paparazzi, that shit should be illegal unless you have a permit or permission from said celebrity.
Mathias Waldmann Thats cool. But maybe you should google "Everett True", the bigger, bald British guy? and then google Azzerd, the small, dark haired, nerdy American guy?
Fenvox79 Maybe you are right. That fact that this ist 22 yrs old and you barely see the guy on the left makes it quite hard to verify. Still amazing footage!
This is kinda surreal really, to find a Nirvana interview clip I have not seen before.
This is great. I'm a big fan. Remember going on The Nirvana Internet Fan Club back in the day (90s-early 2000s) trying to find any footage. This blew my mind. Thanks
*****
I went to some NFC meetings in Germany in the early 2000s. It was such a desperate, dark, melodramatic, intense, and divine time in my life.
wow, I'm with you, thought I've seen them all.. This was a great lil discovery 💞💞
+comfortismyname So... I am the next one!
fiatemWswiat you're the next what?
Kurt handled that perfectly.
Amy LR 😂😂
He sure did 😂
"I look in your eyes and i see nancy reagan's sunken eyeballs."
Cactus Hands . ....
Cactus Hands
Best fucking part of the whole thing
2:06 Kurt no fucks given "no."
I love how just walks out and grins about that at the same time. that's what he should've done anyway :(
One of the funniest things of Nirvana was that you didn't really know if Krist was drunk or not. But in this video... I would be surprised if he said he was not.
I think they were all perpetually drunk/ stoned during this period.
James Oakes
Same
He's clearly drunk, his pondering were complete nonsense, usually they make some sense
lol at kurt
"no" *walks away*
i'm really surprised, i've never actually seen this before
I need more of that muppet in the beginning, in my life. Show me the way.
Kurt's outfit alone should have been enough for that interviewer to know, he wanted to be incognito.
8 days before the recording of Unplugged...
Shit, bro...
jon do I hunk that’s Michael Azerrad
If someone came up too me with a mic after I have been doing interviews and playing shows all fucking day, I would be pissed off too. Leave these people alone. I am so glad Krist called him spiritually desperate.
oh yeah blame the guy for doing his job..
you are such a loser. what kind of moron buys into those fabricated fake ass stories of the white mans atrocities in history books ? a racist who is looking for a reason to blame innocent people. white people arent your punching bag, loser. its time you recognize the filth and lies of each bullshit culture who made it all up. cause none are intelligent enough to take authority over decent white people, who happen to rule the world forever cause they invented the computer and most other shit. cant make a democracy now that each culture is exposed for the anti white jealous collectives they have always been. the kids are taught that fake history. nazis arent german or white. pure jealousy and delusion...you mad bro?
Th' Great Scrubblepuss lol you're a moron
First Name Last Name i am intellectually superior to you. shut up.
He knows he's pissing Kurt...a little ;)
The interviewer made Kurt walk away and Krist made the interviewer walk away lol
I love the smile on Kurt’s face as he gets up.
Wow......this is truly incredible to see! Well, the Nirvana part in the Paradise bar in Boston I mean. I was there that night. ANGRYEEL
Bullshit troll
ANGRYEEL Dude if I could ask, how was Kurt like as a person, from what you could remember?
Were you able to talk to him?
Felipe San Miguel I saw Nirvana in Houston Texas, December 6, 1993. Killer show that I’ll never forget.
You can tell Kurt doesn't want to be bothered here, I don't blame him. The guy doing the interview was totally intrusive.
0:56 dat deadly stare at the camera
kurt -Grrrrrrrrr
Interviewers - Exaclty
HAAHAH kurt!!
😂 that part made me laugh out loud.
fucking hilarious

How rude. Invading their booth like that. Clearly not camera ready
i miss those days, rock n roll was still alive, you could feel it, now everything good has gone
flesh cork
Check out the mountain goats and you're welcome
POST
oh please!
"You are spiritualy vacant". Best comment ever.
you clearly can see that kurt is bothered by that guy... ugh the show bussiness is just GROSS
Nirvana & Buzzcocks in one place? Take me there now!
@Christoph Waltz why don't you. They are just being enthusiastic you don't have to be a dick.
They were touring together over Europe in 1994
he lost his audience once kurt left
Just got up and left
I would too. There's a time & place to seek an interview, cornering ppl in a bar while they're trying to relax is rude. Knute Lindstrom murder! listen to this guy!
Knute Lindstrom
you mean suicide?
***** Probably because murder is the last word in his comment
Knute Lindstrom yep. Im still on the fence with how he died. Im still torn that he isnt here anymore. I grew up listening to Nirvana at a young age and love that hes such a genuine person and not some fabricated person to put at the front of a band.

"What...Whatever." lol
Love the Looney Tunes music in the background
Krist always handle interviews like no other .
Yeah ...says very little and leaves as quickly as possible. Damn , the man can't just chill out at the bar and have a drink without some dick asking questions and shoving a microphone in his face.
that interviewer totally ruined the chill vibe for everyone there ; kudos to him right
I LOVE how Kurt just gets up and walks away, he must've hated media
The song at the end is Dumbjaw by Barkmarket. Fucking amazing band, highly recommend you check them out
SpamNapkin Yeah, they sounded pretty good. Their lead singer was Dave Sardy, who's now an alt-rock producer for many notable acts including my fave, Oasis - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Sardy#Productions
+Show Boz "notable" is a modest way of describing Johnny Cash and The Rolling Stones...
Nope, it's Dumbjaw
Thank ye, I had to scroll down way too much to find this comment, should've been in the description or top comment. Everyone's jerking off about Kurt but I'm over here digging this intense song.
Thanks for upload, is great
I love that My Sharona song in the background. xD
If you like Nirvana & "Homer's Grungeband, please check out my band Caprise - with our song "Sadgasm" .. :-)
"I know your unit's tearing up." What a prick.
damn, you can tell Kurt was famous by this time and couldn't even go out in public, thats why he was wearing that coat with the hood, thats some michael jackson and leo dicaprio shit
always great to see a new clip of kurt!
Thanks for this.
You can clearly see on Krist's face that he knows Kurt is getting more and more annoyed by the interviewer 1:58
amazing... never ever saw this before!!!!! thanks for upload. fucking cool.
Kurt: gargles*
*Interviewer: exactly*

tiemyshoes92 I am not a native english speaker so maybe I wasn't making myself clear.
I so see what Krist is saying as messed up as it sounds! LOL.... too funny!
Layne chillin on the left!
Nirvana feeds of each others energy lol this is great!
I feel bad for Kurt because I guess he wanted to stay hidden because he was wearing his hood up with a hat and this guy walks up and puts a mic in his face but then again Kurt wore his clothes layered like that but only Kurt knows

:(
"I look in your eyes and I see Nancy Reagan's sunken eye balls" 😂😂😂😂
Kurt will 4ever be my Hero!!!
Weird enough seeing a video of Nirvana hanging out that I haven't seen before, but the fact that they're at the Paradise (where I've been dozens of times) catching the Buzzcocks is pretty crazy
Krist does the best job making ppl regret conducting interviews
I love how Kurt is drinking water at a bar. I mean, he did drugs, but I never saw him doing alcohol. I feel proud of him. Awkwardly proud
this is a new one. thanks
I didnt watch this before , so thank you
I remember reading a Rolling Stone Article about Nirvana in 1992. It stated that Krist gave up drinking after Nevermind broke. Yeah.
+Connor B Krist said it himself. He stopped drinking heavily for a while as he'd spent most of late 91 inebriated. But he never quit drinking per se. If you watch the 12/10/93 interview, he's drunk, and drinking more and more red wine as the video goes on. :)
I can't believe the person interviewing ACTUALLY thought random people coming up to Nirvana asking questions was their favorite part... smh🙄
Man krist was gone
I love kurt
Krist is so drunk haha
Kurt seemed to really want to just be left alone in this one.
even back then, Kurt and his water, constantly drinking the bottled water, 99% of the time evian, trying hunting it down in some rural areas. lol
buzzcocks and nirvana so so so so dope.....my dream tour nirvana buzzcocks and joy division
Krist "Fonzie" Novoselic
Fucking love how chill and cool kurt was
yeah, Kurt is def. trying to be discrete w/his hat on and hood up - which are blatant hints that he doesn't want to be bothered - I'm just wondering why the guy from The Buzzcocks pointed in the direction Kurt walked off to..before he got up and left.
The Buzzcocks were way better than Nirvana ever were - the most overrated band since the Stone Roses.
***** I disagree too
if Nirvana isn't a treasure in your music collection, the rest of the bands don't make up for the lost awesomeness of Nirvana; so in other words, crappy music.
***** B.S.!!!!!
nirvana are great from ages 12 to 19, then you grow up. A bit like the Doors. Deep when you are a teenager, self-indulgent nonsense when you are mentally an adult., Go on, hate me, I know you want to......
This is back when I saw em. Funny to see the Doughboys there, know those guys well.
The good old days man, fun times.
What these guys were doing is what every UA-cam channel does…the internet has suck the life out of everything.
Nov 11 1993 - 7 days before Nirvana Unplugged. They hadn't learned to play the Meat Puppets songs and other covers at this point.
I hate seeing interviewers just interrupting celebrities hangouts for stupid conversations, like just leave people alone. Same thing for the paparazzi, that shit should be illegal unless you have a permit or permission from said celebrity.
"What if some Hare Krishna walked up to you, and you were spiritually desperate?" What he actually said
Miss u kurt
This is wild. My hometown! (The Paradise Boston Ma.) Kurt trying to go incognito.Could be pretty tough w/ Krist N. w/him.
Love Nirvana, but amusing that everyone is ignoring the Barkmarket performance at the end. This would be about the time "Gimmick" was released.
Andy Kaufman was there
"Do you have any idea who I am? I was on Taxi!!!!" LMFAO
That was Michael Azerrad. Author and filmmaker
Them leather jackets though!
" no " lol
1:16 Kurt’s not dead confirmed
kurt's thinking what a poser
nice! i haven't seen this one before.
can someone explain what went on and did krist drop a hint about something?what was the interviewer guy attempting to pry into?
Kurt style so cool..
2:09 "alright... later" oh ùy gpd I laugh so loud !!
Way to ruin a once in a lifetime opportunity to interview a Kurt Cobain.
oh no they got caught in a bar THAT'S ILLEGAL
You know it's awkward when somebody grabs the mic to say the thing so you can leave, not even fucking with you anymore but just wants you to leave
Holy shit. That's Kurt hidden under that hood.
God I love krist
That shit was really starting to get to Kurt at this point.
KRIST ANTHONY NOVOSELIC
16 DE MAYO DE 1965
57 AÑOS (58)
BASSIST OF NIRVANA.
Thats Micheal Azerrad to the far left. He did the Nirvana biography book "Come As You Are". So this must have been filmed around that time.
impressive trivia knowledge! He looks so different now; if you type him into Google images, half the pictures that come up are of Kurt lol.
That's too bad. Azzerd is an alright guy who was clearly star struck by Cobain. But at least he had his 15 minutes of fame I guess... :)
Fenvox79 Lucifer's Angel I personally think that this is everett true to be hones.
Mathias Waldmann
Thats cool.
Kurt hated always having to be “on” which is what would’ve made Andrew Wood a perfect fit for rockstar fame and the MTV era of the industry
Went school with Dave Group 1980 _ 82
Thats cool
Krist looking pretty similar to ronnie vannucci from the killers here.
Layne Staley sitting to the right of Krist. so cool!! or is it Chris Barron from Spin Doctors? can't tell
that's def not layne
Buzzcocks are awesome. That is all.
titwio I've never heard of them before Nirvana mentioned them, I'll say that Nirvana is awesome, that's for sure!!!!!
Andy Kaufman ruled lol
lol. those boys were high as a kite :P
the band at the end sucks.
who the fuck knows them?
That's Dave Sardy and Barkmarket. He recently did a film score
Sweet!!!
