- A great day in the woods spent with a friend, teaching him and you guys how to find and identify these delicious PNW mushrooms, Chanterelles.
This was an AMAZING day exploring the woods and foraging for choice mushrooms. We stumbled on a few great patches of chants and took home a few meals' worth!
I hope you learned something from this video to assist you in your own mushroom hunts!
As always, stay safe! DO NOT EAT ANY MUSHROOMS YOU ARE NOT 110% SURE OF! If possible, bring a guide with you to find your first wild mushrooms. They are delicious, but not worth getting sick over!

I live in the suburbs of Seattle. I've collected a few types of mushrooms from a neighborhood park Morels, Oyster, Puffballs, Chicken of the Woods. I'd love to go up into the cascades to find chanterelles. A neighbor once asked me to help her pressure can the mushrooms she found and ever since I've wanted to find my own.
Now is a perfect time to try!

Honestly, anywhere up in the national forests would be a good bet. As long as it hasn't snowed a bunch or frozen hard for a few days straight, you should be in business!
