What is the difference on the install for the TRD OFF Road? I see this is list for the SR5/Sport. I have a OFF Road I’m about to tackle, any specific tricks on that vs what you have shown here??
Thanks
nice.. good clear instructions .. could we get a look at it from afar
I asked my video guy for some pictures of the vehicle. As soon as I get some I will get them posted up for you.👍. Thank you for watching🙏
I guess technically you can call it a lift kit. However four puck is more like a leveling kit.
When you lift the front to be even with the back that would be called a level kit. When you lift the front and the rear with what ever brands or products out there it would be a lift kit.
You gotta watch girls named "Jenny." Just ask Forrest Gump. LOL (gotta watch that Apple Watch in the shots too)
I’m trying to until the rock sliders I got today, one of the fittings for the bolts doesn’t fit. And there isn’t any instructions
What are the wheel and tire specs?
And what do the CV angles look like with 2.5 inch lift? Are the bellows rubbing at ride height?
The best part is they are not extended any further then designed from the factory and stay in factory designed operating range even at full extension👍. No they are not rubbing at ride height. The dealers love the kit. A dealer did 2 trucks last week and loved how they came out and how they road and they sold them in a couple of days. Today that dealer ordered $33k in kits and said they are going to put them on every new truck that comes in. They said they have never seen a nicer high quality for the Toyotas. That was really nice to hear from the service manager and GM
@@westcottdesigns That's great to hear. Do you figure same holds true with the LC250 with 2.5 in the front?
@@jackbauer9347 they both use the same parts and design. The Tacoma, Land Cruiser, Tundra and Sequoia all use the same aluminum spindle. Tacoma and Land Cruiser use the same design upper arm. The strut length is a little longer on the Land Cruiser then the Tacoma and the new gen Tundra. So similar and a lot of ways.
Have these kits been tested on multiple vehicles without needing an alignment? Can I just install it and not worry about even getting the alignment checked?
You always have to do an alignment after lifting a vehicle and or changing the rims and tires.
@@westcottdesigns are you going to make a video for TRD off road install at some point? Trying to see if it's something I can tackle.
@@driftx2 I think our team will be doing an install video on an off-road. The only difference is the disassembly if the front strut.
What is different about the strut disassembly on an OffRoad?
@@Ncserv the off road has a 2 piece shock shaft that threads together. This takes place right next to the metal retainer that is on the shock shaft.
How much for this tacoma kit
$3,000 dollars include installation.
