- Today on the Matt Walsh Show, a community in Louisiana is accused of racism after seceding from a crumbling, crime-infested city and forming their own. Is this a solution that could be adopted nationwide? Also, the frat boy uprising continues in response to the leftist protests on college campuses across the country. The Biden Administration seems intent on promoting marijuana usage as much as possible. Why is that? And there has been yet another rash of pit bull attacks. You may think you know my opinion about it. But I might surprise you.

Exactly !!
In the past 100 years 2 Republicans have held the mayoral office in Baton Rouge.
I am very pleased to see a community sending the message that they aren't going to be held prisoner by a majority that refuses to try something different.
The people of St. George will no longer be dragged into failed Democrat policies. Good for them.
These Antifa are larping as protestors and militant revolutionaries. Sad and pathetic .
And they were likely left-leaning RINOs...lol!
@poinciana3782 Just watch, a bunch of Air Jordan enthusiasts will just start pouring into this new town.
I live in Slidell. I am going to look at moving to St George.
St George is 18% African American. The idea that all of a sudden this is now a “ whites only” city is ridiculous.
That’s a higher concentration than the national average. So much for “whites only.”
"Rac ism" is just another antiwhte slur. They will always use it when Whte people look out for their own wellbeing.
I’ve maybe met or seen one or two people who openly say they hate black people for being black, in 30 years. In that same time I’ve met or seen thousands if not tens of thousands of people who will openly admit to hating white people for being white. It’s not even close to close.
Now...
Think about who is actually pushing this dynamic onto our society.
Here's a hint...
It ain't the blacks.
Exactly. Shut up and take it. So evil.
so sick and tired of those people..
They want to force us into thinking, feeling, breathing and living as they do. They refuse to raise themselves up and we're meant to lower ourselves to their level! Isn't that exactly what happens when a good child starts associating with a problem child? The lower always brings the higher down! Plus, it is always about the money. Those who want freebies get angry when they lose their source of free income is cut off. The name calling begins. We must start and completely ignore their false accusations and do what is the higher way for us. Let's be done with this gross and unjust manipulation that is taking us down into an abyss of death and hell!
Awesome, congratulations to St George for extricating themselves from the total failure of E. Baton Rouge (EBR) and its people! Why would EBR be angry for alleged racists leaving their city? If the EBR claims of St. George being racists, then EBR should be happy and grateful for the separation because now EBR will now be free unto itself to become free of racism and now become the greatest most successful city in the history of the world! You go EBR!
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful lol
Wakanda right?
As usual it’s the money. Those white people are a huge part of the tax base for Baton Rouge . The mayor is upset that they will, loose all that tax money.

For the most part, it's only people of one color that cause most of the problems......your neighborhood can stay nice with Viets, Sikhs, or Mexicans moving in, but when Glocktavius and Boomsheequa show up......

@@teresahiggs4896 and I bet almost all of those 18 percent work for a living and don't want to put up with a bunch of bullshit from Glocktavius and Bommsheequa either
I actually worked for a outsource company that circulated petitions for St. George. We had no skin in the game but the newspaper actually targeted us. We were chased down the streets, video recorded, and hailed with abused everyday. We were very afraid that the newspaper was going to publish our names because at that point it wasn’t that far of a stretch. Most of us were just broke college students trying to improve our resumes.
One guy came up behind me while I was at his door and hailed abuse at me while refusing to let me leave his property. Normally people would be concerned if a 6ft man backed a 5ft woman against a wall and threatened to hold her there until the cops could drag her away for ringing his doorbell (even with a letter from the governor granting permission), but it was ok because he called me a racist child abuser before he did it. He let me go after about ten minutes of back and forth and made vague threats that I should never be seen in his neighborhood again. His black and Asian neighbors across the street were more than happy to be racist for a week end if it meant their kids could have a teacher at school and not risk having to repeat the year.
Baton Rouge allocated practically no tax dollars to pay for teachers in St. George and some classes had gone as long as two months without a teacher. Meanwhile they called it child abuse to decrease funding from the inner city schools. It makes no sense for it to be child abuse to remove a few tax dollars from teaching in the inter city, but it isn’t child abuse to not provide a teacher at all to other students.
I just remember the harassment we all received that day the new paper dropped that article. I quit soon after.
I’m registered independent and am central on most topics, but I don’t think I’ll ever fully forgive the far left community for how they felt justified to hurt people who didn’t agree with them.
yes, the lefties are usually young, angry, kinda ignorant of actual facts, but fully led by their top-down “anger-master” with a bullhorn chanting identical slogans they themselves did not invent. Also they will easily deny your freedom of speech whilst demanding that you respect theirs. All are unable to converse or persuade anyone to their beliefs ever…just angry, ignorant & violent clucks.
I really hope you can find other work and that your studies are successful.
Good luck from England.
Good luck, thanks for your story
The guy who threatened you should have been arrested.
That happens everywhere, the left and the left parties are irrationally intolerant against anyone who does not 100% agree with them, in my native Venezuela during the 60s the Marxist guerrillas ended up killing each other either for the control of a territory or for ideological differences, they carried out ideological trials where the accused ended up shot, although theoretically they were all comrades.
Matt, the members of Pi Kappa Phi at UNC weren't acting to ridicule and mock the sorely misguided protestors. They were acting in a patriotic manner. Those radical clowns had lowered the American flag and raised a Palestinian flag. Mind you, the American flag was being flown at half mast after the killing of 4 law enforcement officers in Charlotte. Initially, the interim chancellor had gone out with a police escort to remove the Palestinian flag and raise the US flag. He and the officers were pelted with sticks, rocks and bottles.. After he left, the mob proceeded to lower rhe American flag again. The fraternity brothers had observed the events to that point and had enough. They ensured the flag did not touch the ground and protected it from the mob.
To date, over a half million dollars has been raised on a Go Fund Me page for them. Additionally, John Rich has volunteered to perform free of charge at the frat party to be hosted with those funds.
Proud of these young men whoae actions have inspired their brothers on other campuses!
Flag on a pole is called a staff; on a water vessel it is a mast.
That’s such a waste of money, frankly. The fraternity should consider using it to establish a scholarship or something. I’m not against those boys having had money raised for them, I just think there should be more consideration for the proceeds when it was obviously far more successful than initially anticipated.
black leaders instead of rave baiting all the time, they should concentrate on improving what is wrong in their community.
That would mean they would have to be accountable for their actions , never going to happen.

The same thing happened in Atlanta when the Buckhead district attempted to secede after its predominantly White residents were tired of being mulcted by the Black political machine that runs Atlanta while that same government turned a blind eye to the lawlessness and violence of "teens" that came up from southside of Atlanta from areas that enjoy the benefits of "diversity". The GA Constitution requires that the state legislature approve this and the State government punked out. The Atlanta city government began to reluctantly enforce the law against "youths" and "teens" who had made the sound of gunfire and road racing a routine thing in Buckhead. (I live just north of there.) in order to calm down the secession movement. When St. George Floyd ascended into heaven and loyal Democrat voters looted every liquor store, jewelry store and gun shop on Peachtree Street, the "reparations" only ended when the GA National Guard set up machine gun nests at the entrances of Buckhead shopping malls.

I absolutely despise litter bugs. Even when I’m at the beach or the playground, I find myself picking up and throwing out other people’s old water bottles, chip bags, wrappers. So much trash. Some people are utter low lives.
Sadly I stopped going to the natural places near my home. Instead of relaxing my body and renewing spirit... my purpose for going... I end up stressed and depressed. Years prior I would pick up trash, especially glass and fishing line/hooks. I didn't even clean up after my own child in our home, his mess his responsibility. I'm not here to compensate for trash humans, there needs to be enforcement of litter laws. There's just too many and they keep doing it because others clean up after them so the next time they visit it's at a tolerable level, no consequences for them.

The only Pitbull I ever had was also the only dog I've ever had that was aggressive. Got him as a puppy and had a hair trigger from day one. I've trained so many dogs in my life and I've never had anything like this before. I loved him and I gave him the best life I could. Got him the best trainers and spent thousands of dollars getting him the best care and making sure he had literally everything he could possibly need. He was mostly fine with me but at 3 years old I watched him launch himself through a glass window to charge at a mom with a stroller. I tackled him to the ground before he could hurt them. No one in there right mind would accuse me of being a negligent owner but I had a choice to make and I made it. Behavioral euthanasia exists for a reason. Like Matt said, I did not have a right to impose risk upon others without their consent. He was a danger to human life and I took care of it. I've known many, many pit owners and while some of them are beautifully behaved animals, many more are at least moderately reactive. Pitbulls are not teddy bears. If you can believe that border Collies have a natural proclivity for herding, and guardian breeds like anatolians have a natural proclivity for protection, then it should not be hard to believe that a dog breed that was bred to hunt and fight would be very good at hunting and fighting naturally. I was a dumber person who learned a valuable lesson. Pitbulls need to be outlawed and where they can't be outright outlawed we have to require special licensing to own them.
Yeah, pitbulls have a breeder problem where trash breeders have bred these dogs for aggression and a lot of them have unknown histories and pedigrees, pitbulls can absolutely have psychological problems from poor breeding standards. I’ve worked with pitbulls and had a few, mine were all totally fine, but I’ve seen some really whacked in the head pitbulls before.
Well Said
We need people like you speaking out about this reality. Thank you.
I have a Staffordshire, the "other" pitbull. He's almost 3. He is a big baby, loves kids, loves people in general. He's the best dog I've ever had.
My lab was very aggressive. I couldn't break his hatred of strangers.
My point is that all dogs have the ability to mame. Even a teacup pup can take off the end of a person's nose.
The problem is the breeders breed only the nastiest dogs. If we worked to breed only the gentle ones, we could get rid of the mean gene.
Sadly, I agree that pit owners should have strict rules like the rules around owning a big cat or other wild animal.
@@angelapowell6586 You're right that any breed can be dangerous. But Pit Bulls were bred for aggression like herding dogs to herd and blood hounds to search and Labs for hunting. No owner or breeder can undo a couple centuries worth if genetic modification. The Pits do the most damage and are the cause of 67% of hospitalizations. Look up Pit Bull Victim Awareness on youtube. They report worldwide deaths and maulings. Owning this breed is taking a gamble for yourself and your community.. Most Pits that snap are loving dogs who were raised with love. Their owner never saw it coming and now have to live with the consequences if it wasn't the owner themselves the dog killed. That happens A lot too. Especially recently. God bless you and be safe.

Almost nine years ago, my wife brought home a pair of pit bull puppies, sisters and for two years, they tried to kill each other every day, I wear some pretty impressive scars to this day. We finally gave one away and the fights ended. Raven, ours, is going on nine, a wonderful dog mostly, but again, two years ago, she ran into a neighbor dog that was also out of it's yard, and she almost killed it, I paid over two thousand in vet bills for the owner. This isn’t the first time in recent years that a city has broken off from Baton Rouge. The City of Central did it in about 2007, Zachary broke away and so did Baker. Mostly because of the terrible school systems and kids being bussed in and out of their communities to go to school. Central and Zachary school systems are now among the top ranked schools in the state. It was 100% beneficial to depart from the city of Baton Rouge.

There should have been a stronger movement in the U.S. to get emancipated slaves back to Africa just before and after the Civil War. Getting people back to Africa who had been brought to America against their will would have been true reparations for slavery. All black people would not have been required to leave the country but the ones who had been slaves and wanted to leave could have and should have been given the opportunity to leave. There was and is a country in Africa called Liberia that was founded in 1847 for such a purpose. This form of reparations for slavery could still be done. Indeed, they can tax me for it, they do tax alcohol do they not? So why would anyone expect them to not tax weed. I'm in a legal state, an O pre legalization was 2-5 hundred locally. An O through the dispensary is 85-150 after tax. They make money and I save money, it's a win win. Love the legal weed, hate the liberal hellscape, would like to relocate to Missouri where the weed is legal, you can grow your own (I live rually I'd like to grow my own but can't in my state) the taxes are friendlier and the landscape is beautiful. Willie never hurt no one and neither do most stoners.
Also it helps ppl with out medication! They will charge as much as they can! Greed won’t end well for those ppl!
It'd be harder to tax if less people smoked that crap, but these idiots think it's some wonder drug, cure-all.
A lot of humans acquire dogs and cats for companionship. A lot of humans acquire dogs for protection. Some acquire dogs to be working dogs. These are all good enough
or even excellent reasons to get a dog or a cat. But a lot of people get pets because they want unconditional love. And a lot of people want four legged animals because
they are emotionally insecure and they need to intimidate others by owning a vicious dog. This last kind of dog owner wants a pit bull for this very reason. That's the only
reason to get a pit bull. I cannot be convinced otherwise.
Pit bull owners get enraged when you challenge their need for a pit bull. It is because they are emotionally insecure. I cannot be convinced otherwise.
If you are intimidated by my dog, that is a you problem. Get over it.
I've trained dogs for 40 years. I've never met a well adjusted, normal person that wanted a pit bull.
@gusdad4811 such dogmatic thinking leads me to believe it is you that is not "well adjusted."
I fully agree with you on this point. Pit bulls are very dangerous dogs, and pet owners should pick other animals. My hippopotamus however, is a big sweetheart❤
Pulling a lot of resources out of BR? So what? You had your chance. My advise to them is "sucks to be you."
It’s called the Antiwhite Narrative, Matt and crew 🫡
Same goes for a small percentage of our population responsible for a disproportionate amount of crime
It's really funny how much the two populations are comparable
Where are the patriotic FEMALE students?
What’s so stupid about the claims that secession is racism is that it doesn’t mean that there are any geographical or physical changes. It doesn’t mean that outsiders (like black residents of the old city) will be kept out of the new city. It just means that they will be under a different municipal government.
And this is, or should be, obvious to everyone.
Actually, I just wish that hwite people would be honest and openly admit that it is about race, which it is. 30 years ago I lived in what is now the city of St. George. Even back then it was known as the Hwite Section of Baton Rouge. It's OK to be hwite and to have a preference to live in communities of your own people. It's high time that we started to admit it!
Hwite? Is that like Hmong?

So they're complaining that the so called "rahcists" are leaving thier city? Shouldn't they be happy?
Ffs! This people need to pick a struggle 😂.
But not staying and a,losing themselves to be victimized is also racist! After all white people need to be treated badly because they enslaved black people and they have treated black people badly for years, , there is systemic racism going on right now! ( sarcasm)
I was so happy to see this, and so close to St. George’s day too! 🏴 I hope this motivates other townships across the nation
This was not a secession. This parish (county) has 4 cities within it already, however, the southern portion of the parish is unincorporated but still governed by one of the cities (Baton Rouge) within it because of the style of Government that has been used here for decades. That portion of the parish has experienced unbelievable growth both commercially and residentially, while Baton Rouge has quite a crumbling infrastructure. The absolutely horrid leadership of Baton Rouge and the Parish (dual role Mayor-Parish President) has always given prevalence to propping up Baton Rouge the city, with funds received from unincorporated citizens, while ignoring the needs of those same citizens for years.
All that took place here is that the unincorporated area south of Baton Rouge filed for an incorporation and won. No secession, no breakaway, no pullout, nothing. The real irony here is that the current Mayor-President of Baton Rouge, who sued the voters of this area AFTER they held an election and the measure passed, was a State Representative years ago when this started, and she told these people that they would have to form a city and incorporate if they intended on forming their own school district. A school district was initially the goal of this portion of the parish, not necessarily a city, until this Rep told them no, you need a city. Now the people who seek better for their community are being treated as if they did something wrong. It's quite a show.
My MIL has over 10 dogs now. One of them is a pit bull that she claims is the sweetest dog in the world. That thing tried to break through the back door when I came to meet her with my 4 month old baby in my arms 6 years ago. She wonders why I won't let my husband take the dog and why we won't visit her. It's only been in the last two years that my husband has had the revelation of what a horrible breed that dog is. I had to tell him to imagine his mom's dog mauling one of our toddlers for doing toddler things and then people blaming us for not stopping our toddler from being a toddler instead of being mad at the dog. I also read him multiple articles of people being killed after minding their own business and being attacked. It was like a light bulb went off in his head. My MIL admits that it's a danger to walk the dog without a heavy chain because it could kill someone, but it still hasn't clicked in her head that that's a problem.
My mother in law got a pit bull mix and we have basically stopped going up to their house since then too. The few times we’ve gone there, it just felt like we were taking an unnecessary risk. Before they rescued the pit bull, our kids used to love going up to their house but now if we get together it’s always at our house because I’m afraid that the dog will attack one of the kids. My husband doesn’t think the dog is a problem- and the dog seems to like my husband- and I think it’s a pretty good natured dog- BUT those jaws were bred to bite down big and hard and not let go- and I would never forgive me self if my kids were on the receiving end of that.
Doesn't mean its the breed. Theres plenty of bad dogs of other breeds. Its basically like sayin everyone of a certain race is bad or crazy. Dogs have different personalities just like people
@joneconomidis2125 the overwhelming majority of dog attacks are from pit bulls. Yes, it's the dog. They were quite literally bred to be that way.
@@joneconomidis2125 kind of but some breeds were bred to hunt birds, or retrieve fishing nets-pit bulls descendants were bred to bite large animals (bulls and bears and mountain lions) around the face and head and not let them go. When a dog is bred to bite it’s in their genes. They can’t help it if that’s the instinct their breeders selected for them.
@@joneconomidis2125But also, as with people some generalizations hold a degree of TRUTH. We all know what neighborhoods to avoid strolling after dark. Same with breeds of dogs. Ignore that simple fact, be it either neighborhoods or dog breeds at your own peril.
I live in Baton Rouge, but went to high school in what is now St. George. Just to be clear, St. George did not break away from the city of Baton Rouge, as it was never a part of BR. It is an unincorporated area that has now incorporated into an official city. It will probably have its own school district in 5-10 years or so.
It will be a mess in the short-term, but this will be fantastic for the parish in the long-term. So many young people are moving to Ascension Parish to the south, since we can see the city of BR is a sinking ship. Without LSU, we would be hopeless like Jackson, MS.
St. George will be a huge benefit to the area in the long-term. I’m so happy to see it actually happen. It seemed dead after years of lawsuits.
however they had many legal and economic ties with both the City of Baton Rouge and EBR Parish, and those ties are no longer there

The fact that they even hesitated to put those dogs out IMMEDIATELY is insane to me.

It’s always the “under served”. Nothing but excuses. Maybe the “under served” should get off their butts and DO SOMETHING about their situation. I’ve met plenty of “under served” people in the military (White, Black, Hispanic, etc.) and they managed to get out by joining and making something of themselves.
My city is 97% non hispanic White. The county is 90ish the same. It's a nice clean, safe friendly place to live. Conservative values

Matt you asked why the government would want to make marijuana use easier for everyone, is to take away your gun rights. politicians will say we can't have people high on marijuana running around with guns. They're already certain medications that bar you from gun ownership. this will just be added to that list.
They need to take this example nationwide.
Couple of clarifying points: 1) The DailyMail story had a bunch of inaccuracies in the basic reporting. 2).They called the city of Baton Rouge - East Baton Rouge. East Baton Rouge is the Parish (county in 49 other states). This made for some confusion throughout the story. 3). St. George area encompasses the bulk of the unincorporated areas of East Baton Rouge Parish. It has never been a part of the city of Baton Rouge. 4). Tax dollars from the unincorporated parts of the Parish should have paid for Parish provided functions, such as Sheriffs, trash pick up, drainage, road construction & repair, etc. 5). East Bato Rouge Parish operates under a consolidated form of Government. We have a Mayor/President that is mayor of Baton Riuge and the Parish President. Tax dollars from St. George to support Parish functions were diverted to pay for city services, services that the St. George area never received. There is much much more. It’s been a long time coming, but the City of St. George is open for business!
Just yesterday I helped a woman who was mauled by a pit bull get to the hospital. These dogs are dangerous.
Pit bulls are banned in the UK under the dangerous dogs act, thank goodness.
Pit bulls used to be bred as guard dogs, but that implied that they were intelligent enough to be trained and obey orders, but in recent decades they have been bred as fighting dogs, they do not need to be intelligent but fierce, the result is that there is a variety of pit bulls that are wild and fierce and intelligent incapable of being trained, real beasts that should not exist.
Everyone should grow up! No one can tell me that colleges are where the most intelligent of us reside 🤦🏻♀️. Remember intelligent discussion and debate? I miss that!

They use the word racism so much that people are finally beginning to not care if they are being called a racist. This is a good thing.

One might argue that Washington, D.C. is also a city which is undergoing "taxation without representation." While yes, I'm willing to debate whether or not they should be able to send Senators to Congress (I personally think they should but am more open-minded about this), but they absolutely must be able to AT LEAST send one VOTING representative to the House.
Same goes for US Territories. At least one voting House representative, and maybe no senators till statehood.

Well, Matt I have been paralyzed for 31 years and I use marijuana 4 medicine. But I consider myself very awake, as far as what's going on with our country. So don't dis people that smoke or use marijuana. I find that very insulting....... Still love the show.
And when everybody is paralyzed like you are, then you will be correct in your opinion.
Matt's read these kind of comments before. You trying to get smoked too?
We had a bad outbreak of Pitbull attacks in AZ back in the late 80's, early 90's. That breed along with a few others, should be outlawed. Way too dangerous and unpredictable.
My opinion. ✌🏻
Matt, I’ve been smoking pot since I was 18. I’m now 69, and still smoking. I’m a SWF, retired after 45 years as a full charge bookkeeper. I don’t have a college degree either, although my dad had $15,000 saved for college. That dollar amount covered a 4 year degree back then. But as soon as I graduated HS, I couldn’t wait to get out of my parents home to live on my own. Eventually, I found a receptionist job at a major oil company. I knew I had gotten a foot in the door & worked hard to be a dependable employee. I was lucky in that new technology was coming out, like word processing & learning about new computers. With that, I learned quite a bit & eventually went into bookkeeping. Pot did not deter me from my goals.
Pot is God made. That’s good enough for me.
