For several years I would buy uncleaned Roman coins from Ebay. They were crusted over with dirt and corrosion and you couldn't make out the images or script. From every scholar I’ve read Jesus was a carpenter and would’ve made furniture, wheels, roofing, rope, tables, chairs you name it. No Curiosity, read the book of Genesis again as Cain killed Abel and Cain left and went to a land where he took a wife from that land. We never think of how dirty everything was. He said they had sewers running down the side of the street where they sold food. They obviously didn't have modern plumbing. He brought up Cain and Abel as an example of rivalry/tension between farmers and herders, going all the way back to the composition of Genesis, and continuing to exist in Jesus's time many centuries later. What's hard to understand?

So back in Jesus times people ate bread with every meal, they also used their bread to scoop up their food instead of using silverware, how interesting, we Mexicand used the same method for eating our food, we eat tortillas with just about every meal, we also use tortillas to scoop up our food, of course silverware is readily available but in most Mexican households the preferred way to eat your food, is by scooping small bites with tortillas!
