I had exactly the same problem, 4 stroking, very rich 0-25%. I found out I already had AS264.... I also checked the swimmer. The solution was setting the needle down 1 notch. worked perfectly. thanks for getting me on the right track!!!😁
Was having this problem with my Malossi 221 and PHBH 30. Tried everything except the atomiser, (following advice from elsewhere). Then I stumbled on this video, ordered and fitted an AS and BOOM, all good, very good. Top advice Freakmoped and I and eternally greatful😊
sooo happy to read it. thx for info! & plss share it. so many mates suffering from it. even some are thinking this is normal. it has to be like that!! (🤦) oh and ur welcome to leave me a review ln my facebook page 😉🍻😎
I briefly had a bike with a PHBH30 on my hands, just trying to sort out an unrelated issue. The AV atomizer it came with was indeed super-rich and 4-strokey and gurgly down low. It was very, very annoying to putter around town on, and only came into its own when thrashing it. Will recommend the owner try the AS
Hey mate. Can you recommend a 12v fuel pump to live under the tank. Vespa 150 with lml reed case, rd350 reed. phbh 28, pinasco 177. I get to half tank and get starvation. Carb sits high because the reed block. Thanks. Anthony
It sounds very lean when you let go the gas. Even when you shift a gear up, it goes "braaa-pt pt pt pt-braaaa" The "pt pt pt" part is when you let go the gas and you shift gear. Also it seems to have a very high idle rpm. Also this seems to almost not happen with the richer AV mix tube. If my engine sounds like that, I usually am worried about being quite lean on idle jet or idle screw etc. Am I wrong? Maybe it's personal preference.
its not set perfectly thats right, just testing this engine a bit, but absolutely safe, no worries. the AV is very wrong. Seems like u like it on the rich side 😄👍

@@FreakMoPed8 Here I come back to my opinion on the tube AS first recited the behavior as on your video more regular opening of the throttle but I noticed that the engine took longer to return to a regular idle so I had the idea that it could be in slightly cutting the tube to arrive at a dimension between AS and AV. I tried it and the surprise the engine comes back to idle faster and keeps the behavior of the AS
my engine is really special it is true that the jet seems exaggerated but I get a correct carburetion without smoke and a clean piston without too much soot I had to start with a carburetion as you described me but I was too thin and the spark plug gave a different color too white now the spark plug has a hazelnut color I know it is strange and misterious at the beginning I was thinking of falsair intake but not all that
I'm having a similar problem with my set up as you are showing with the AV 264 but I'm running a standard SI24/24 it's currently on a Be3 atomiser, 120 main jet, 48/140 idle and 160 Air corrector. (dr180 kit, revolver pipe, drilled filter) it starts fine, ticks fine, is fine on acceleration and wide open throttle, but when I try to sit and maintain a constant speed it just splutters likr it did in your vid.

@@oleksandr50special you can quickly check if its 2 or 4 stroke by looking at the "jet" (not really a jet) inside the venturi, that thing over the atomizer. If that thing is protruding in the venturi, its a 2 stroke, instead if it sits plain with the venturi then its a 4 stroke. Sorry I don't remember the correct english words but I hope you understand it 😅 Also, you can convert from 4 to 2 stroke by replacing that "jet" I just mentioned with the 2 stroke one, then you change to AV or AS atomizer, and you also need to remove a jet in the front of the carb, at 6 o' clock. The little hole that gives air to the idle circuit has a small jet inside it. Remove it and you're done. BUT be super careful, the hole is calibrated, so you mist not use a drill or anything similar to remove the small jet. Way easier to just sell your carb and get a 2 stroke one 😁
Atomiser is cheaper than a slide and it works definitely, so simple solved. it is the standard r3343 setup for two stroke. if av and 45 slide works..? No need for me. To fins out. Just wanted to document the AS trick
i know, cause phbh is wrongly under estimated. phbh is perfectly fine, just in the Real 2stroke version R3343 Not the "vespa lambretta" Version. AV to be avoided and all fine 😃👍 guess which 2 carbs are used in the famous twin px 488cc 😉
Hey mista, i need your help, i have a vespa t5 with a malossi 177, but the piston was destroyed from the backside and the bore walls was scratched deep (it need a overbore). What size of piston should i use? A 64/65mm or a stock px200 piston would fit and work well without overheat? Ooorr throw everything and buy another malossi sport?
