Based on our knowledge of Irminias:
- high humidity (65% to 75%; 70% to 80% for slings)
- plenty of ventilation
- keep it in an arboreal enclosure, although they are more fossorial as slings. In other words, move it from that cup
- temps between 75 and 80
- two inches of substrate for sub-adult to adult (moist it monthly, mist once a week); 1" - 1.5" of good moisture-retaining substrate for slings
- Dry Season is February, March, April; Wet season is May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December
The goal is to mimic Venezuela as best as you can
hey Kim doing something nice for change
Lol ^
Wow
Mine just enjoys some warmth about 20-27 C and high humidity but let to to dry out until the top of the soil is moist. I keep mine in a “bio active” enclosure with live mosses and springtails to keep it clean. The springtails are also a good indicator for when it gets to dry as they stop coming to the surface as often.
So, is it just me or does anyone else find it crazy that Kim is a T keeper... does Rodman have any spoods???
The footage is very good with the GoPro but I miss the occasional zoom ins😂
Me too bro, me too
agreeed agreeed i like the old FOV of the phone camera.
It's ok
yup
Yep
I'm still depressed from when his spider died while shedding skin
Lord have mercy will always be in our ♥️
@@peepsasmr9133 I can guarantee that more people know and care about ms lord have mercy than care and know about us, she was eight legs of fame.
Mrs lord have mercy😔
Same she was my fav
We all now she will rest in peace luckily she isn't in pain anymore
The lighting and quality is better, the "fish lens" takes a bit of getting used to
Can we just talk about how cute sling King Baboon threat posture was. Like awwwww you are so tough .
yea that was cute
I wonder tho, are they like snakes in that they release more venom as slings than as adults?
A cute angy bby 🕷💜
@@JayTee95 I thought about that too long are them harmful as slingings
Baby's first angy~
The lighting is WAY better with the GoPro, no flashy flashy while it's trying to adjust.
The strong fisheye effect is not so nice.
Yeah I was going to say the lighting is fine
He don't care bro
Love how he said skip to 2:53 if u don’t want to see my merch lol
I do like the Go Pro but I do miss the phone footage 🥺💕
Ye and when he's like, "come on phone, this is why I bought you, so focus"
The GoPro also has that fisheye effect on the edges that makes me slightly nauseous for some reason
@@BestBES oh yes I do find that slightly annoying
Me: an arachnophobe
Also me: can't stop watching your vids.
same x)
same
Right there with you lol
Same!
p
“ uh paper wth “ then throws it bck in the dirt 😂
Tarantula be like: NOOOO (Later).. . Also Tarantula: I love this
The GoPro works good, you should get a head Mount or chest mount for it. So you can use both hands
He only has one hand.
I think it’s part of the act at this point
Both hands? We don't do that here
He can't use both hands. He's just one hand floating around beside a camera. It's a strange physical disability
Irminia is kept in a enclosure with high humidity, many ventilations, arborial setup, irminias like cold places and BTW Psalmopeous Irminia is my favourite tarantula
Guys get this comment up so he can see it !
@@skoorgeux yessir
Great content man keep up this awesome work.
I haven’t watched your videos for like a year, AND LOOK AT THIS GLOW UP!
We love to see it.
The quality and audio is great! Also I think you were like one of the first tarantula keeper you tubers I have watched because I was to arachnophobic to watch any spider vids! Lol 😂
Now that you have a hero 7 you could use those "head mounts" so you have both hands free to do something
No
@@ameyamoore3821 why not lol. It’s a good idea so he would be able to do more stuff with two hands. Plus he’s holding the camera at around head height anyway and he would always be able to take the GoPro off for close ups if he needed.
@@ItzLumen its becuz his whole channel has been about him and his one hand thats why ppl would prefer him to stay how he is......lol
No.For 2-hand vids he needs to make a third channel. 😄
Hi! My Valentine's Day shirt came in, on Friday! I'm so glad that it came in before Valentine's Day.
Just stumbled across your channel recently, love your videos /style dude. Keep up the good work, informative and funny in equal measure
Your videos have literally made me appreciate spiders so much more, I even have a house one called Ted now
"Did i mention these guys are super bolty?"
Me: No, we're deaf if you did say it 😭😂
Damn it's been more than a year since I've seen this guy and hes changed alot
I watched him back in 2018-219 and recently started watching again
The audio and video are good. Great work as always!!!! Love the videos man. Keep up the great work. I thumbsy uppy.
The video footage is really great! Also the audio is really good too! Great video!
Now that is how you do an interesting/engaging advertisement usually I would want to skip ahead but that one was great
I really loved this footage! The GoPro was great!
The audio is a big meh, the go pro quality is clean but i dont rly like how it rounds the video.
I agree however if he rehouses something insane he should actually use this instead of his phone and one hand. Or god bless even packing tarantulas for shipping...the gopro is not bad upgrade for certain videos. Also we get to see a bit from his house which I also like.
Idk but i like it
Looks great quality! I love your channel
Ah I don't like how wide the gopro makes it, it also makes me motion sick. Also it didn't focus on the T's very well unfortunately :( It's good to try something new tho!! I appreciate you trying stuff out to see what works
Same with the motion sickness. Didn't understand why I was feeling so nauseous until I read your comment.
Yeah I got motion sick to I had to keep pausing it
It has the best quality and i can hear it great btw love your videos!
Looking forward to seeing these guys soon ❤️
I have a P. irminia sling, she prefers to be arboreal all the time. When I bought her she was in a tiny deli cup with substrate. Soon as I got her home, she stayed on the lid. So I rehoused her into a small arboreal enclosure. I have a tiny water dish in it for her. And occasionally lightly mist the enclosure. She has plenty of cross ventilation, and I keep her between 72-75 degrees F.
I do like the GoPro view, with it being very clear and its not blurred, i can hear your voice just fine too. But as you have said, the lens is huge and i personally dont like the curved view we get at the edges. I honestly like the phone better, even when it is blurry, just because of these things. I hope you find out which one you like best, EL.
That cologne should hire you as their spokesperson, they'd make a lot of money if they did
It’s the alcohol in it. Just use isopropyl alcohol. It takes the marker right off.

Nice video
keep up the good work!
I’ll always keep my fingers crossed! 🤞🏽
My Irminia was my first ever T and is doing super well 🥰
always had a big waterdish and a pretty humid substrate with some ventilation holes and a hide. since she was a sling she loved to stay in her hide :3 it's pretty rare that she comes out but whatever ^^
temparatures are usually 26-29°Celsius
Hey , temperature at my place is 20 degree celcius , do i need to use a heating pad for raising temperature?
@@fancybeing1296 it should be at least 23-24°C in your room, 20°C is a little too cold I think 😉
I’ve had my irmania since a sling and it’s been fine I always kept mine in aboreal set ups from a sling with dry sub and cross ventilation. Hope yours stays strong I love mine such a beautiful species
Great rehousing's EL!!!! Tyfs God bless you
Looking forward to the next video
You can also use alcohol instead of cologne because thats what is in the cologne
Exotics just has his own fancy way of doing things
But the cologne makes it smell nice :)
Ok agreed
Seems like using alchohol would be a lot cheaper than using cologne...
I guess he really hated that cologne :P maybe a bad gift :P
The GoPro sounds fine man! Even the image, looks pretty good to me 😁
yee BUTT U have to be careful to not cover the mic and also has not that pretty macro as ip, i mean focus :0
@@poornia True!!
Audio and video footage are amazing love the go pro.
I love this channel. It has made my fear of spiders Go away :)
exotic got us covered for valentines. Yeeee bois
The footage is good but the zoom ins :(
ALSO THAT SLING THREAT POSTURE IS SO CUTE
His cam got fish eye lens
Looooove the new video quality sound is great too! Only wish your videos were longer
I loved the footage the color of the video pops and so do the tarantulas colors its great🙂
AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTCED THAT, THE HANDWRITING OF EXOTIC LAIR ISS SOOO GOOD ... XD
*spider bolts out*
me: **wishes i was the spider**
Motion sickness is killing me... Awesome video as always.
Sounds and looks better with the gopro! Great slings!
2:24 -> that's why we are all here... 😌
Anyway, the video is great ! No problem about the quality or anything ! 👍
that beard tho
I tell people that im not afraid of spiders
Me; screams when i see a spider in my desk
My mom comes into my room gets a cup and puts outside without getting scared
The video quality is super and audio quality I love it .
nice video bro i really enjoy
we need occasional zoom ins when rehousing or feeding etc and GoPro when you go look for stuff in nature. Would be interesting to see more of nature outside of your home.
Gotta love the new merch, but the problem is..... We broke af rn
Wow tarantulas and a great life hack, LOVE Exotics Lair 😍💜
I really love the gopro quality. Not much lens flare, and quality is clear!♥︎
I wish you luck on your tarantulas! I hope they all survive so we can see how pretty they are as adults and see their personalities. 🥺
0:05 so youre telling me EL isn't just two hands and a voice box????? thats wack
I've had an irminia since it was a tiny sling (it's molted 3 times with me) and I keep it in an arboreal enclosure with 2 inches of substrate and keep the substrate kind of moist as well as a small water dish. It dug out a depression at the bottom of the cork bark, the webbed the hell out of everything between the enclosure and cork so I can't even see it now. But it deposited a molt outside its den a couple weeks ago, so it's doing pretty well
Thanks for the cologne life hack! Consistently amazing videos always, and the camera quality is better with the go pro I believe 👍
Tip: Isopropyl/Rubbing alcohol (higher percentage the better) also works and tends to be cheaper
Damn, those Ts gonna smell fresh lol
😂
okay, i have just one question: why didnt you use a spoon if those things are that small? wouldnt that make it much easier to get them out of those tiny cups into the new shiny custom made enclosures? :D
no because they can easily run out of the spoon
@@emilyyi420 sure if you try to carry them for longer distances, but for just spooning them out of those cups it shouldve been a bit more practical? just speculating here as ive never handled any larger kind of spider, but thats far too much improvising imho
They can climb up the bit you hold and it would turn out terrible
@@raven_cloudz2438 seems logical, but i doubt that using a short pen is that much safer :x still, as im Not the one who has to handle those beasts i can only guess
Dude... I've watch a lot of your videos and the way you move you hand around over those Ts I'm surprised they don't jump on your hand and bite the hell out of you.....lol
The quality is really better with it, I personally like it, so the sequels with the videos are very interesting and fun :)
Yessir
I just got my first scorpion I'm gonna try and make videos just like yours I hope I can do it🙂
I hope you can do it too
@@rand0mstuf149 much appreciated
Subscribe if youd like anyone who sees this exotics my inspiration same thing just with scorpions more than tarantulas
I love you videos... I do like the zoom ins ... 😊 🕷
Sounds good and looks good! We approve!
The GoPro is cool! but the fish eye lense bend kinda hurts my head. Love this video! ♡
when they're small the threatning poses are adorable honestly ❤
The video and the sound is amazing
I have 2 irminia. A 5.5" mature female that I rescued and a 2" sling that I got at .5", I keep my Irminia similar to my C. versicolor. Lots of ventilation, moist substrate with a small dryer area that I let nearly dry out before re-moistening, arboreal setup. The deli cup you used was no good. I power feed slings until 2" to get out of most fragile stage ASAP. Ive been lucky and had no losses with my irminia yet. Im sorry you have had bad luck. Dont give up on this species. They are so beautiful and rewarding to keep. Im looking for a mature male to breed my female in the near future.
Exotics Lair- a headless, tarantula lover with an accent.
“Don’t not do anything” alright then, I’ll comment.
Love what you do! love the go pro try putting it chest level, but it allows you to use both hands, are you gonna organize your rooms of the insects?
Love your videos
"I had been climbing it up like a later"
Me : NOW THEY TELL US THISS?
Ima watch this comment become popular

Update to elvarg plss
its just cool watching
how his hand moves
Another great video!
The only thing about the GoPro is you can't adjust the focus when it blurs and the rounding edges...
Like it how he invites more T’s into his lair
The audio and quality seems fine bro so why not continue using that🤣
i love your snkae and your tarantula i hope u hit 3m subs good luck
I love this guy!

Good for you? Do you want a cookie or something? Who cares
Good point
I actually have an issue with the new camera set-up. I'm getting kinda queasy. Like it's uncomfortable to watch. I don't know what it is, maybe it's the whole wide-angle stuff but it's not fun to watch. The overall quality is fine.
Video and Sound is fab 😊
GoPro footage looks clean. Audio sounds good 👍🏾💪🏿
Soon he will get the most dangerous and aggressive tarantula called "Exotic's Fear"
I wish I could have a pet tarantula, they actually look very cute
Its super worth it, im 2 years in and its been the most fun passive hobby of mine
Looks very nice
treated my irminia the same as i do my c.vercies... lots of ventilation and its been doing GREAT for over a year
25 seconds ago.. Never been that early lol.
Me too
Yup same
Same ;-;
like at all
Not same
Omg...hi
Hi
@@ngchengxuanaldredstudent1368 hi
Doesnt matter for sling but when it grows up a little keep them in arboreal enclosure, well ventilated prefferably crossventilation. When I asked experienced keepers how humid I should keep Irminia they all answered - "You cannot overdo dampness with Irminia." So I literally took their word for it and kept it super damp like literally Im amazed that it didnt mold. Maybe its because I didnt give her that much substrate she webs quite a lot. Now she has much more substrate, doesnt utilize it at all, just webbed a corner with corkbark and uses it as a hide. As soon as she grows she becomes sturdy.
By the way when I got her I was a newbie and she jumped and started bolting around the kitchen. My wife caught her with catchcup because I froze and she torn two of her front legs off. My girl still made it and regrown them over time. She is big and gorgeous and very sturdy. Believe me Irminias dont die as often you had a stroke of baaaad luck. In my country irminias are so overbred so cheap so easy to take care of. Some breeders unable to sell irminias even release them out into the garden or something :D :D Imagine that
Love gopro very clear
