so can you just leave your toon floating there in the ocean and join a platoon from that spot or do you need to get back to velia every time?

can confirm. i just stood on the broken ship nearby and still got the drop. kinda broken. thanks man i would never actually run vell if i needed a full leveled alt over there or if i needed to take the 20 minute boat ride there every time.
