- From the show's 9th season on CBS daytime, it's The Price is Right show number 4024D, original airdate March 5, 1981. Games played on this Bob Barker hosted episode include Range Game, Poker Game, Hole in One, Barker's Bargain Bar, Give or Keep, and Dice Game
I still like Poker Game (and wish they'd bring it back in some fashion), but that was definitely bad luck. I also enjoyed the long segment of music played for the prizes.
When you know you screwed up the prices in Hole in One, continue with the more expensive items (if possible) and put the cheapest item on the end.
I wonder when the new camera angles started for Bob's entrances.
Later in 1981
Maybe the start of the '81-'82 season?@@YankeePat94
9:58; That, my friends, is what we call a Bad Beat.
Especially with three nines and two sixes for a full house, only for the house to get four fives. I would have never passed a full house with that kind of hand... oh well, it's one of those days.
@@graigmellon7874 This is one of those playings where Bob's line about "Try to find prices with nines in them" was flat out misleading.
The best move in Poker Game is to find matching digits.
@@BlackwoodCompany And sometimes that's tough if it's for budget purposes... I've seen a hand of only two pair win the game from time to time.
Is this the first episode to air on the weekday mornings rotation in April 1998? The same episode was rerun later at 3am preceding Blockbusters, which was at 4am weeknights for awhile.
I think it's the second - March 4, 1981 I believe was the first.
That sounds about right. March 4 is on the channel and has that dark GSN bug that was only used in the first few days after the DP ended. The new grey bug which would be standard from 1998-2001 can be seen briefly during Hole in One in this episode
