Yes I agree. They feel like moveable pop art to me. I rarely even notice the joints and am fine with the trade off of a real, seamless aesthetic for pose-ability. But I do see why some people would be turned off by made-to-move, especially if their dolls will be on display in static poses
That Mulan collector doll is crazy good, but holy crap Mattel upcharges for European collectors. They are 90€ when they should be around 67€ with Euro/Dollar conversion. Like, I know tax is included for the Euro price, but that's still unreasonable high. Not to mention shipping on top of that...
Disney does the same thing with their dolls. It's ridiculous. Especially since you have to pay it upfront with MC now when before it was a cost you paid upon delivery. MC has also stopped shipping to most EU countries and refuses to add all of us back on the roster. 🫠🫠🫠

I guess I don't always notice it on Mattel products that are sold in stores here... some are pretty much the same price as in the US, other a little bit more. I just never saw such a big difference as when I switched the country on MC. But if it's extra expensive because I'm ordering it directly from the US, I'd think that would be calculated/charged with the shipping or even at delivery considering that's what I've experienced when importing before. :)
@eclaircollects8800 EU import tax is 20%. By law, all companies/sellers must include this in the price, but many don't and you have to pay upon delivery instead. ETA: Mattel Creations has redone their site so that for countries they ship to within the EU, the tax is now included immediately in the price, the same way you'd see it if you were looking at any other EU website. I will say though, the company could just as easily pay 1/6 of the original price in tax and not change it. MC always ships straight from the US. They don't have warehouses for storing products elsewhere.
agreed the two characters that got dogged on here were the ones looked GENUINELY authentic and 100% matches their animated likeness. was gagged to see them not appreciated, i always give massive props to whoeever can properly design a facial sculpt and mattel had some REALLY good ones in the mid late 00s for the DP when they stopped using barbie sculpts. i will give them a huge shoutout they can really design a good sculpt, i mean this is the company who started the groundbreaking standard of giving EVERY single character their own sculpt for a doll line roster that included 100+ characters.
Man. I thought that second Barbie doll was Cynthia from the Rugrats. Also I absolutely adore blind Barbie! The braille on the box and the authentic white cane is amazing! I'm legally blind and I'm so happy I was able to get 2 of her. Also she can actually hold her cane!!
Yay! I'm also legally blind since birth and I adore Blind Barbie! I have one in box and one out of box and I love the braille, the cane, the glasses, all of it! Going to dress her up in fantasy clothes though because we need some fantasy blind representation.

that and choosing molded plastic accessories for things that should be KNIT or FABRIC. original bratz made NOTHING out of plastic that didnt need to be plastic aside from shoes and even then they tried their damnest to imitate what they could with slip covers and socks, all their purses bags satchels caps were all fabric. monster high was never known to follow this trend but seeing that new enid doll im like sigh, just make a knit cap an actual knit cap jfc

You've already covered them before, but with the Decora Fashion Dolls seeing a wider release with Sweetie and Luna being available individually now, I just wanted to say how AMAZING they are! I was a little skeptical, I loved the designs, but their heads are so comically huge, their expressions so bright, but let me tell you, as soon as I opened up their packages and held them, I was in LOVE. I felt such child-like nostalgia I wanted to hug them and squee! They are great quality dolls, the hair is so soft and luxurious and the details are so cute! You get such amazing quality and so many things for less than 23 dollars! There's a doll stand, hair clips, a cute doll bag, a clip on puffy charm, tons of puffy stickers for you to use however you like (too big for the doll), and stickers to put on the doll itself! Idk, I could just sing their praises all day every day. 💝 They're so refreshing and unique!
Tbf to wensday-characters like elvira & lyida arw both human/very human looking, their just freaky goth girls lol For howkiday cleo i rlly wish they would take inspiration from how Egyptians celebrite winter instead of forcing her into a vaguely christmas theme-it would be a nice way to represent different cultures

I actually like the Gaston doll. It is goofy face sculpt, but that outfit gives a strong impression of this is Gaston and he is unapologetically Gaston. Belle and Beast are my favorite characters in the movie, but I just cannot bring myself to hate Gaston because he has one of the best villain songs and is just one of the best written Disney villains I think. The new Ryan Gosling Ken doll actually looks so much better than the base dolls they put out. It would be nice to have a non-collector doll for that mold come in and replace the roller skating doll face. Have a good vacation and take it easy.
I really like the Wednesday MH dolls-- it totally feels like, "the people will make customs of this, might as well make our own" and I love it. Might snag them- at least basic Wednesday- if tI find them on sale, as I'm actually not really a doll collector aha.

Just My Opinion: -Fashion Frontier - It does look fun -Very pretty face sculpt -But not a doll I would buy - However, I look forward to seeing what comes next in that line -Keiichi Tanaami - I'm happy to see Mattel embracing such unique artists -I would've liked it more if her hair were bright, deep orange or even blue instead of blonde -But again, not a doll I would buy -Barbie Movie Campfire Scene Set - I have ordered it, mostly b/c of the Barbie has a closed smile. I'd like to see more of this doll in other movie scenes, for instance the pink dress with beret and the navy-blue dress with the white collar. -Fashionistas are nice, always good to represent diversity. -Disney Midnight Masquerade -I love Alice and Snow White is pretty too, but I'm more of a Barbie collector and don't usually invest in other dolls unless it's something that really pulls me in. -Enchanted Elegance - In complete agreement with you on these! -Wicked Movie -Silent dolls preferred! And they have more articulation. I agree so much with the Keiichi Tanaami, I would buy it if I could just for the accessories since it's kind of the first Barbie accessories in a while that is intricate (referring mostly to the bag and heels). Looked her up on the website and kind of disappointed that the patterns on the clothes are mostly printed. I think the style looks fun, kind of a much better execution of the quirky fashion some Barbies have.
Some more things I love about the enchanted disney princess dolls is that they have new body molds, rooted lashes and specifically rapunzel has slightly more realistic face proportions than on any other doll so far
Using Kitty K and Candylicious in the Tweens line makes me so sad. We're getting further and further away from the possibility of their Fierce releases..
The Wicked movie dolls are all currently listed for pre order on the shop mattel Australia website for $54.99 AUD with the deluxe ones at $99.99 AUD. I'm used to currency exchange raising the price but this is a new level of obscene pricing for Australia. If they actually make it to store shelves the pricing might improve, but come on Mattel!
After watching multiple videos I just realized... When you come back from vacation you need to wrap some sparkly garland or flowers around the grey parts of your shelves and add some lighting too ❤ something was always missing back there and now I get it.
I'm a huge snow white fan and i think that doll is super cute. i do wish the dress was longer and i think her cape is pretty plain, but still. i think she's really lovely
that nefera cleo two pack looks NOTHING like their g3 versions (other dolls and the animation). I literally thought "that looks so g2" right before that was said in video. I feel like generally they've been pretty good about having the cartoon and the dolls having some sort of continuity in design so as to be recognizable while also appealing to their mediums, but I have no idea what happened here
i have a broken Italian barbie I can paint green and make the witch outfit for for under $25. I hope Mattel is reading this. The quality of the design and dress is too low for the prices charged. again, I grew up with dolls from the late 60s and early 70s.
Just got my hands on the Cleo doll - the shoes in particular kind of blew my mind at her price point, very pleased and excited to do just a very little bit of upcycling on her paint job
I totally agree about Enchanted Elegance Ariel, she’s my fav princess too and so I expect the most from her when she’s had some truly stunning dolls in the past. Although this is the best one in a long time
It’s not annoying you talking about the prices Mattel in particular since realizing they can sell dolls targeted at adults think they can still make dolls at play line quality for insane collector prices with out actually improving the quality of the product to make it worth that price. Mh Barbie and ag have all become infected with this practice. I don’t want them to stop making adult collector dolls most of them are beautiful but just not the quality they need to be to in anyway justify the price. They’re just expensive because they know collectors will pay it which just seems really crappy to me the level of greedy they’re starting to get.it’s like here we’ve finally embraced adult collectors but for you to be worth it to us we have to charge you 3 or 4 times more for a doll then we’d price a play line. You are exactly right. That's why I refuse to play insane inflated prices for popular properties. Disney and Barbie are especially bad about it, and I refuse to buy them. MH is very bad too, so I have only one MH collector doll. Other than that, I'll take my affordable and high-quality RH and LOL collector dolls, thank you!

I’m a MASSIVE Ken collector, a HUGE fan and I want that Ryan sculpt with a MTM body… but I can’t justify the price point whilst also being able to, you know, LIVE/eat/pay rent.
When I first saw that new line in thus video my first thought was "Ugh, Ariel again ?", and I thought that even when she's my favourite Disney Princess. So I agree on that sentiment.
1)Barbie Fashion Frontiers- Something good from Barbie?? This is amazing news, love all the pink and glitter, and the cowgirl theme is super cute 2)Barbie Collector Doll- This is so bizarre, I love this, she looks so fun! 3)Barbie movie campfire scene- They're cute but I'm not super into it 4)Barbie Fashionistas- I do not need a single one of these, they're so plain. The lack of t-shirt dresses is a win tho. Love the representation as well, that's always nice 5)Disney Midnight Masquerade- Snow white- Gorgeous, I absolutely love this entire look, her dress is so elegant and I love how it's mainly white with a bit of red and gold, such a pretty color combination. Alice- This is so cute, I really like the shape of her dress. Queen of Hearts- Her gown is so silly, I love the fancy collar tho! Mother Gothel- Her dress is so different form the others but I love it! the details are so pretty and I love the pattern. Gaston- He might be the first disney doll I ever get, I actually love him so much. his outfit looks so regal and powerful, I'm obsessed. Ariel- She's really pretty! I like the half-and-half look to her dress, and even though it is a mermaid style gown, she IS a mermaid, so she's the only one who gets a pass 6)Disney Enchanted Elegance- Rapunzel- I like the flower petal look to her dress, the sleeves are really pretty too, I'm glad her hair is actually long. Mulan- So gorgeous, I especially love her head piece. Ariel- HATE THIS. I'm sure that ruffle in the front is supposed to be referencing something high fashion that I don't know about but it just looks so tacky 7)Wicked dolls- singing dolls- Glinda's dress is really pretty, I like the ruffly sleeves and the pattern, the texture on Elphaba's dress is really interesting too. Ballroom dolls- LOVE Elphaba's dress here, especially the sleeves. Glinda looks really tacky unfortunately Nessarose looks so pretty, the sculpting on her chair is incredible. Delux dolls- Elphaba looks really cool, the purple looks great with her skin tone, Glinda's dress reminds me of the original so that's fun! Won't be buying any of them though 8)Monster High Wednesday dolls- I did not vibe with what they did with the show so I'm not a fan of the dolls, I'm not a huge fan of their outfits either. 9)Howliday Cleo- At first I didn't want her because of the bulky sheer skirt, BUT then I saw pictures of her without it and now she's a need. It is a lot of gold but I don't mind it, the other Howliday dolls have all been pretty monochrome too for the most part so it fits 10)Cleo and Nefera 2 Pack- I didn't know G2 was making a comeback :D (sarcasm) ... It's bad. hate dis 11)LOL Tweens Neon Popstars- Not my vibe but still really cute 12)LOL Tween Winter Snow line- Okay I need Violet Snow so bad, she's so cute!!! I love her silver outfit so much. Firstly I am shocked that Mattel made SINGING dolls which don’t have molded on tops like wow good job Mattel 👏🏻 Then i feel that the Ozzdust dolls look so much better quality than the deluxe dolls. And lastly they could have done Ariana’s face soooo much better. But I guess it’s a mixture of her and Glenda

That first doll looks like Beyonce. Ariel is gorgeous, the ugly purple thing just should be changed on the dress. But, Mulan looks significantly more expensive. If she $75, Ariel should be $25 or 30. Rapunzel is a little too high also. I think maybe $60. They're very nice, but I don't really buy dolls. Things like that probably never go on sale, but if these did, I'd buy them then probably
16:35 honestly this is a problem I have with a LOT of current monster high releases 😭 I feel like the color palettes are soooooo all over the place, even with G3! On instagram I constantly see the dolls getting hyped up and I'm like. Why. Am I crazy. (Not all of G3 just some specific dolls)
You are so right about the mattel pricing! I am a member and the only doll worth the price is the artist doll which will not ship out until feb 2025 although it's available now if you are in Tokoyo. The Campfire set does not even ship till July 2025 what the heck NO for me. I am still waiting for my silkstone swirl ponytail, I live in CA and the mattel shipping is hit or miss from the Barbie Signature now called Barbie 59 club site, it shipped out Aug 9th and now I have to wait 14 workdays until I can complain to Mattel again. Thank you for all the previews love the variety you show! I do want the Wednesday and Enid but 40 each seems too high! Hoping for some sales later this year.
The Campfire two pack legit gave me a jump scare! The quality was so noticeably worse than the previous three dolls 😂 I wish I ever saw a Rapunzel doll with a face I like. The amount of detail on the Enchanted Elegance dolls is great though.
I don't consider Snow White a top favorite, but I love what they did with her for the Midnight Masquerade series! She looks like a 1930s Hollywood Starlet! 🥰
Im excited for the new Odille Barbie. I wonder how much she will be though. And I hate you have to buy membership to get her. But I love Odille sculpt and her glamourous bright pink outfit. It reminds me of how Barbie used to be. That cowgirl Barbie is fabulous and I was thinking of getting her. But she's expensive, especially with shipping to Australia. And Mattel always ups the price even higher than the normal currency conversion rate.
happy birthday!! 🥳 hope you’re having a great time on your cruise. i bought the basic wednesday doll and luckily got one that doesn’t seem to have defects - i haven’t watched the show but i adore jenna ortega and the character wednesday addams in general. the raven doll is a pass for me until she’s a LOT cheaper though - she should’ve been $40 max, and i think even that’s a bit overpriced. i like the space cowgirl barbie but would only buy her if she’s much cheaper. she is absolutely not worth $75 for a bodysuit and transparent plastic skirt and jacket 😤 i already have the kitty k tween and while i’n pleased to have wrist articulation back, the lack of a stand is a big bummer. i plan to get candylicious from the winter line, the other two tweens are maybes/waiting for a sale for me.

I actually like the Gaston doll. It is goofy face sculpt, but that outfit gives a strong impression of this is Gaston and he is unapologetically Gaston. Belle and Beast are my favorite characters in the movie, but I just cannot bring myself to hate Gaston because he has one of the best villain songs and is just one of the best written Disney villains I think.
The new Ryan Gosling Ken doll actually looks so much better than the base dolls they put out. It would be nice to have a non-collector doll for that mold come in and replace the roller skating doll face.

None of Elphaba's dresses look grand enough to me, but I'm wondering if Mattel is saving that doll for when Part 2 of the movies releases.

I really like the Wednesday MH dolls-- it totally feels like, "the people will make customs of this, might as well make our own" and I love it. Might snag them- at least basic Wednesday- if tI find them on sale, as I'm actually not really a doll collector aha.

Just My Opinion:
-Fashion Frontier - It does look fun -Very pretty face sculpt -But not a doll I would buy - However, I look forward to seeing what comes next in that line
-Keiichi Tanaami - I'm happy to see Mattel embracing such unique artists -I would've liked it more if her hair were bright, deep orange or even blue instead of blonde -But again, not a doll I would buy
-Barbie Movie Campfire Scene Set - I have ordered it, mostly b/c of the Barbie has a closed smile. I'd like to see more of this doll in other movie scenes, for instance the pink dress with beret and the navy-blue dress with the white collar.
-Fashionistas are nice, always good to represent diversity.
-Disney Midnight Masquerade -I love Alice and Snow White is pretty too, but I'm more of a Barbie collector and don't usually invest in other dolls unless it's something that really pulls me in.
-Enchanted Elegance - In complete agreement with you on these!
-Wicked Movie -Silent dolls preferred! And they have more articulation. I really love Nessa's wheelchair, but if I buy, I'll probably put another dress on her.
-Wednesday and Enid - I'm not much of a Monster High fan, but I'm glad someone made them! I've always loved The Addams Family and Wednesday!
I agree so much with the Keiichi Tanaami, I would buy it if I could just for the accessories since it's kind of the first Barbie accessories in a while that is intricate (referring mostly to the bag and heels). Looked her up on the website and kind of disappointed that the patterns on the clothes are mostly printed. I think the style looks fun, kind of a much better execution of the quirky fashion some Barbies have.

Some more things I love about the enchanted disney princess dolls is that they have new body molds, rooted lashes and specifically rapunzel has slightly more realistic face proportions than on any other doll so far

The Wicked movie dolls are all currently listed for pre order on the shop mattel Australia website for $54.99 AUD with the deluxe ones at $99.99 AUD. I'm used to currency exchange raising the price but this is a new level of obscene pricing for Australia. If they actually make it to store shelves the pricing might improve, but come on Mattel!
I hate how shipping got doubled from $15 to $30 as well. I guess I should be grateful they ship here at all.

that nefera cleo two pack looks NOTHING like their g3 versions (other dolls and the animation). I literally thought "that looks so g2" right before that was said in video. I feel like generally they've been pretty good about having the cartoon and the dolls having some sort of continuity in design so as to be recognizable while also appealing to their mediums, but I have no idea what happened here
I think they are supposed to be g1. Still disappointing.
i have a broken Italian barbie I can paint green and make the witch outfit for for under $25. I hope Mattel is reading this. The quality of the design and dress is too low for the prices charged. again, I grew up with dolls from the late 60s and early 70s.
Just got my hands on the Cleo doll - the shoes in particular kind of blew my mind at her price point, very pleased and excited to do just a very little bit of upcycling on her paint job
I totally agree about Enchanted Elegance Ariel, she’s my fav princess too and so I expect the most from her when she’s had some truly stunning dolls in the past. Although this is the best one in a long time
It’s not annoying you talking about the prices Mattel in particular since realizing they can sell dolls targeted at adults think they can still make dolls at play line quality for insane collector prices with out actually improving the quality of the product to make it worth that price. Mh Barbie and ag have all become infected with this practice. I don’t want them to stop making adult collector dolls most of them are beautiful but just not the quality they need to be to in anyway justify the price. They’re just expensive because they know collectors will pay it which just seems really crappy to me the level of greedy they’re starting to get.it’s like here we’ve finally embraced adult collectors but for you to be worth it to us we have to charge you 3 or 4 times more for a doll then we’d price a play line. You are exactly right. That's why I refuse to play insane inflated prices for popular properties. Disney and Barbie are especially bad about it, and I refuse to buy them. MH is very bad too, so I have only one MH collector doll. Other than that, I'll take my affordable and high-quality RH and LOL collector dolls, thank you!

The new upcoming dolls are for the most part gorgeous, although some of the prices are outrageous. The only ones I'm leaning towards are the Wednesday dolls. 1)Barbie Fashion Frontiers- Something good from Barbie?? This is amazing news, love all the pink and glitter, and the cowgirl theme is super cute
2)Barbie Collector Doll- This is so bizarre, I love this, she looks so fun!
3)Barbie movie campfire scene- They're cute but I'm not super into it
4)Barbie Fashionistas- I do not need a single one of these, they're so plain. The lack of t-shirt dresses is a win tho. Love the representation as well, that's always nice
5)Disney Midnight Masquerade- Snow white- Gorgeous, I absolutely love this entire look, her dress is so elegant and I love how it's mainly white with a bit of red and gold, such a pretty color combination. Alice- This is so cute, I really like the shape of her dress. Queen of Hearts- Her gown is so silly, I love the fancy collar tho! Mother Gothel- Her dress is so different form the others but I love it! the details are so pretty and I love the pattern. Gaston- He might be the first disney doll I ever get, I actually love him so much. his outfit looks so regal and powerful, I'm obsessed. Ariel- She's really pretty! I like the half-and-half look to her dress, and even though it is a mermaid style gown, she IS a mermaid, so she's the only one who gets a pass
6)Disney Enchanted Elegance- Rapunzel- I like the flower petal look to her dress, the sleeves are really pretty too, I'm glad her hair is actually long. Mulan- So gorgeous, I especially love her head piece. Ariel- HATE THIS. I'm sure that ruffle in the front is supposed to be referencing something high fashion that I don't know about but it just looks so tacky
7)Wicked dolls- singing dolls- Glinda's dress is really pretty, I like the ruffly sleeves and the pattern, the texture on Elphaba's dress is really interesting too. Ballroom dolls- LOVE Elphaba's dress here, especially the sleeves. Glinda looks really tacky unfortunately Nessarose looks so pretty, the sculpting on her chair is incredible. Delux dolls- Elphaba looks really cool, the purple looks great with her skin tone, Glinda's dress reminds me of the original so that's fun! Won't be buying any of them though
8)Monster High Wednesday dolls- I did not vibe with what they did with the show so I'm not a fan of the dolls, I'm not a huge fan of their outfits either.
9)Howliday Cleo- At first I didn't want her because of the bulky sheer skirt, BUT then I saw pictures of her without it and now she's a need. It is a lot of gold but I don't mind it, the other Howliday dolls have all been pretty monochrome too for the most part so it fits
10)Cleo and Nefera 2 Pack- I didn't know G2 was making a comeback :D (sarcasm) ... It's bad. hate dis
11)LOL Tweens Neon Popstars- Not my vibe but still really cute
12)LOL Tween Winter Snow line- Okay I need Violet Snow so bad, she's so cute!!! I love her silver outfit so much. Candy is cute too, I like her leg warmers

Ariel is gorgeous, the ugly purple thing just should be changed on the dress. But, Mulan looks significantly more expensive. If she $75, Ariel should be $25 or 30. Rapunzel is a little too high also. I think maybe $60. They're very nice, but I don't really buy dolls. Things like that probably never go on sale, but if these did, I'd buy them then probably

16:35 honestly this is a problem I have with a LOT of current monster high releases 😭 I feel like the color palettes are soooooo all over the place, even with G3! On instagram I constantly see the dolls getting hyped up and I'm like. Why. Am I crazy. (Not all of G3 just some specific dolls)

You are so right about the mattel pricing! I am a member and the only doll worth the price is the artist doll which will not ship out until feb 2025 although it's available now if you are in Tokoyo. The Campfire set does not even ship till July 2025 what the heck NO for me. I am still waiting for my silkstone swirl ponytail, I live in CA and the mattel shipping is hit or miss from the Barbie Signature now called Barbie 59 club site, it shipped out Aug 9th and now I have to wait 14 workdays until I can complain to Mattel again. Thank you for all the previews love the variety you show! I do want the Wednesday and Enid but 40 each seems too high! Hoping for some sales later this year.

i bought the basic wednesday doll and luckily got one that doesn’t seem to have defects - i haven’t watched the show but i adore jenna ortega and the character wednesday addams in general. the raven doll is a pass for me until she’s a LOT cheaper though - she should’ve been $40 max, and i think even that’s a bit overpriced.
i like the space cowgirl barbie but would only buy her if she’s much cheaper. she is absolutely not worth $75 for a bodysuit and transparent plastic skirt and jacket 😤
i already have the kitty k tween and while i’n pleased to have wrist articulation back, the lack of a stand is a big bummer. i plan to get candylicious from the winter line, the other two tweens are maybes/waiting for a sale for me.

So funny agree with so much you had to say today. I have same problem with the MTM bodies especially the knees and ankle joints are horrible to look at especially with heels on, also they can not stand as well in heels with loose ankles.
