- Technique of the week- no gi (no uniform) Ezekiel choke from the mount position with a punch choke option. There are hundreds of ways to choke out your opponent. Enjoy these but don’t try without proper supervision.
I really like the Ezekiel choke in no gi and this is a great other option to have if you can’t get your hand in as far. Thanks!

I’ve just started doing BJJ as in only 5 sessions. Can I do this when rolling or is this a dirty move.
Personally I don’t consider this to a dirty move. It works and legal. In a gi you just grab your sleeves and do it.

Works even better from side mount
One detail is to make high mount press arms with body and balance with elbows do punch 👊 choke. Also if possible use more body weight instead of arms strength 💪.

What are the pros and cons of each? Is one more secure than the other?
the fist is used if you can't reach across the throat. Both work well, the arm across the throat is little harder to defend once it's in deep.
I showed a punch choke to my 7 year old son. BJJ professor wasn't impressed 😅 (even it's legal for kids)
Could you do this from full guard?
No it's super low percentage because they can can just post on your hip. If you mean while you're in their closed guard no because they can just move you with their legs by squeezing and pulling you away from them

It's hard to set it up from there. However, I've been swept right as I was locking up the punch choke, and the moment my weight pulled down on the choke I got a frantic tap. :D
or just put your hand over his mouth /nose if needed
would work but in bjj tournaments that is illegal

Honestly, I don't really think biting ear off is really possible.
No no no, silly boy who hasn’t ever had a fight. Biting someone on top of you with control could be the worse decision of your life 😅 . You think the grappler/fighter can’t eye poke or bite? Probably better than you at all that too.

Bear in mind - U put your head so far past their mouth that they can't reach your ear. Cause you put your arm across their neck and jaw, and between their mouth and your ear, then apply pressure to their neck. So they're not free to move their head enough to do anything (watch the video for clarity)
Cause, if they could, then they wouldn't be getting choked in the 1st place...
