I never understood how a bunch of hadith that were written by a man (Bukhari) who never met the prophet Muhammad (PBH) had the right or authority to say what the prophet said hundreds of years after his death. Bukhari lived in another land and Arabic was not even his first language. What is troubling is that the Hadith were collected hundreds of years after the prophet Muhammad died ( PBUH) . He was not around to verify what were his exact words and which ones were not. Why hundreds of years later? That is a long time to start recording what someone may have said.
