The deli meat one hits the hardest. I love going to the corner store for a classic turkey sandwich, although I'm not entirely sure where Boar's Head meat falls in the category of processed deli meats.
I know what you mean I eat a lot of deli meat lunch meat package meat you name it but my favorite all-time favorite is Boar's Head! My Grandfather ate white bread (tons of it), ate some canned tuna during the war, later it was almost unknown in communist Hungary, so he ate canned sardines instead. He didn't know what diet soda is, but drank a shitload of local beverages instead (full of sugar of course). Potato chips were unknown that time here, but he very much liked french fries, fried in lard, not oil. Does honey consideres as non-maple syrup? If yes, he had lots of non-maple syrup. Margarine... We only had margarine. No energy drink that time, but he drunk 6 espressos a day. Fruit juice. Tons of it, it was considered helthy back those days. Deli meats, hehe, they had a butchery, so guess what? He lived 83 years, and died from health issues caused by the russian prison camp he was held for years after the war.
i'm not going to believe that Deli Meats can cause Cancer, my old man was a Red Meat and Potato consumer for all his life, and what killed him wasnt Cancer from Red Meat, but Tuberculosis from all the stuff he inhaled from his laborious days as a Carpenter before becoming an Electrician. i'm a firm believer of when it's your time to go, it's your time to go, and no avoidance of Meat is going to prevent that, i'd rather enjoy myself up until my final moments.
As a kid we played with mercury, rolled it around in our hands. Have always ate hot dogs and love me some fried bologna to this day! Grew up with bacon, eggs, and tons of fried foods. Gotta have my diet Cokes every day. I am 64, still kicking, without too many health problems. However my 3rd eye in the back of my head does give me problems every now and then. LMAO
Great video, BabbleTop! I love canned soups. If you don't need to add water, I sometimes eat them right out of the can. If I want to heat it, I'll put the whole can in boiling water for a couple minutes so I don't have anything to wash. Potato chips are great, but I don't eat them often. (Use chopsticks and your fingers won't get crumby and oily.) Canned tuna is good, but in Taiwan I buy mackerel and saury in tomato sauce, as well as sardines and anchovies. I also love the tins of capelin roe and cod liver in its own oil. My health ideas completely go out the window when it comes to deli meats. I love deli meats so much! I don't care if it's simple Oscar Mayer bologna slices rolled up with French's yellow mustard as a snack or some sandwich creation with fancy Hungarian salami. I love it all!!! It Taiwan, more and more people are discovering health benefits from eating "brown rice" which has the hull removed but retains the cereal germ and bran layers. Keep up the good videos, BabbleTop! Take care everyone!
Great video! I do wish you'd suggest slightly healthier alternatives for people who aren't able to cook and are largely dependant on processed microwave foods. There have to be some lesser evils among those, right?
One more thing to consider about deli meats that is controversial are nitrates. Some deli meat makers have these all natural options which say no artificial preservatives. If you read the list of ingredients and come across cultured celery extract, that is a natural source of nitrates. But still nitrates. Just an FYI for those who wants to know. Another great video.

So check your privileges, educate yourself and sit tf down before you go around thinking you’re smarter than millions and millions of citizens 🤣
I will bet you any amount of money, Jasmine eats many of the same ingredients in these products. Definitely the flour in white bread. Regarding canned soup versus homemade soup, if it's the salt that's bad, wouldn't homemade be just as bad, if we put in enough salt for it to be tasty? This is a sincere question, BabbleTop.
It’s true that condensed soups are high in sodium. They’re not intended to be eaten right from the can. You plop the blob from the can in a saucepan and fill the can with tap water. Put on heat, stir for a while and sit nearby. After you read the section A of the local paper, you have lunch! Recommended: crackers.:)

I was shocked when I started looking at all the sodium in my food!... I made tacos & burritos one night and my jaw hit the damn floor when I saw that the White Flour tortillas had 850mg of sodium in just one single flour tortilla alone, by the time I counted the sodium in the taco meat, refried beans, Spanish rice, cheese, black olives, sour cream, salsa, etc. I was eating over 5100mg of sodium in just one burrito!... The recommended "Daily" allowance is 2300mg for adults!... I passed on eating any corn chips & salsa, let alone a taco to go with my burrito!... 😔
I really thought instant ramen would top this list easy.😂 On canned soup,If people would use more liquid the sodium would be reduced. It can be reduced by adding a pealed, raw potato.as well.Just toss the potato and enjoy!
I prefer my chips with a rich and creamy onion dip. It tastes great and caused the chips to actually fill me up so I stop eating well before the bag is gone.

Just as there was a time when margarine was being promoted as "healthier than butter", similarly diabetics were told to drink diet soda and never fruit juice. 100% fruit juice and teas are still the healthiest drinks one can consume, even if a little sugar is added. Happy my mom raised me with this list in mind
As always, moderation is key. This means that you can safely consume every item on this list....with moderation.
When we were kids, there was white bread and wheat (Wonder Bread). The white bread was probably more healthy back then they are now.
Mercury is not safe to consume even in moderation
These foods designed to be addictive (e.g. soda, chips, bread). Moderation is unlikely.
Yeah, eat poison in moderation. Jesus wept. How about not eating poison?
Welp! Until all foods are toxic due to pollution we carelessly generate. 😆

Thanks for sharing this with us. 😊 Take care Ray Chang!
Great video! I do wish you'd suggest slightly healthier alternatives for people who aren't able to cook and are largely dependant on processed microwave foods. There have to be some lesser evils among those, right?
Start microwaving apples and other veggies..but the microwave probably causes cancer too lol
Thanks for the great feedback as always John Dwyer! 😊😄

Fresh butter is better etc
@@miyaosamu4088 coffee isn’t good for your stomach either 🤣 just because you don’t eat the foods in the video doesn’t mean you’re eating healthy, but in case you hadn’t heard: it’s a known fact that the United States has chosen quantity over quality for a long time and these foods are extremely cheap, way cheaper than the real thing that’s why a lot of people still purchase them, people with money eat better and healthier, but for example since you mentioned the tomato soup, one can costs less than a dollar, if you were to make real tomato soup it would cost more than $10 since not a lot of people grow their own tomatoes, same goes for orange juice, pancake syrup and several other things in the list. So check your privileges, educate yourself and sit tf down before you go around thinking you’re smarter than millions and millions of citizens 🤣
I will bet you any amount of money, Jasmine eats many of the same ingredients in these products. Definitely the flour in white bread. BTW, eating any processed food will have some relatively ill affect on us. But on the good side, all these foods leads to our bodies decaying at a far slower rate than 100 years ago. Thats right, eventually we all become slow release fertilizer.
@@cubanalien And even vegans don't realize that their precious organic vegetables are not totally chemical free. Rainwater contains all sorts of chemical pollutants, a small amount in each drop. So, in theory, the accumulative effects of a severe rainfall and the plants absorbing the water would equate to someone eating tuna. ( all this while I'm downing a bag of chips.
