Beside the crane capability, the most important factor during the lifting is the foundation ground or strengthened based concrete. I have never seen the crane structure was damaged because of its material during lifting. Most the accident was because of the base ground which is not strong enough to hold the crane and ita load.
Well... Not really. Every weld needs to meet it's specification... There isn't a "flawless weld" there are only welds that meet the specifications. Because when you look closely enough you will always find something, this is why we have standards that define how much of something there can be. Designed by engineers who know their shit.

Yep. Stone of the Pregnant Woman lies unused in a nearby quarry about 1 mile from the town is estimated at 1,000 tons. An even larger stone, weighing approximately 1,200 tons lies in the same quarry across the road. So yes, this crane would easily lift those stones.
Wow.. at 1:01 those tracks are brand new.. Right then at 1:17 they are already rusty. I guess there went those already once recycled Mercs once again in use.
Well then there’s the 30 pulleys that divide the amount of force needed to lift the load by 60. And sometimes horsepower isn’t a great way to measure the overall strength, because the drums don’t spin that fast
Glad to see the Schwerer Gustav engineers found work after the war.
I remember when the power boom Assembly was in Corpus Christi, the whole crane itself was just breathtaking.
Functional machines are beautiful. Enjoyed it. Thank you from Japan.

Germans build the best stuff in the world from cars and trucks to heavy cranes even hand tools are the best from Germany! hello world!
If that thing can lift my lazy teenage kid away from the computer screen, then they have a new customer tomorrow.
schönes Video vom LR13000
It's hard to grasp the size seeing it on video.
Just as a reference..it lifted 6.7 MILLION pounds
I was using American "tons". Not the metric "tonnes". Probably why our conversions were off by 700,000 lbs!
@nordhorny Typo, Settle down.
มีที่ใหญ่กว่านี้อีกไหมครับ ผมคอยดูอยู่ครับ
and what is the name of the front boom and the rear boom on which the Ballasts?
Can’t wait until the LR 20000 comes out.
Liebherr will build it if there is a need for it and the money to pay for it. Mammoet bought this chunk.

What An " AWESOME " Crawler Crane !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, can think of loads of applications for lifting 3000 tons 1 Inch off the ground....
Liebherr ist einzigartig. Diese Leute haben was drauf. Besser sein der Anspruch.
perfect in the crane !
Is it bigger than the Apollo crawler???
It's not quite that big. That was essentially the lower works of a stripping shovel.
Can't wait for the LEGO Technic version to come out in 2023 😎
LOL, and the LEGO version is shit and way too expensive, you should go with the Mould King one.
