    Saturday mornings with OBM. I look forward to this all week long. Another extremely informative video in a series that ends with you having your very own teardrop trailer. You make it very easy for people to follow along. Be safe in your build my friend and Thanks so much for sharing with us.

    awesome. one of the nice things about this is that you are using 4x8 material - makes it simple to line up the template with the other materials, etc

      A little slow at the beginning, but we'll pick it up! Have quite a bit finished so I don't get behind on videos, work is keeping me from getting things done!

    loving your videos so far! Do you happen to have a link for the door that you purchased?

    • @OregonBatman

      I do... www.teardroptrailerparts.com/doors.html sit down before you check them out, looks like the price went up... a lot! :) Thanks for checking out the video Ryan!

    Hi! I have a question about the radius used for the doors. The radius on the doors from teardroptrailers says 4.75" and your drawing says 4-5/8. Is the difference to make sure the door fits tightly?

    • @OregonBatman
      @OregonBatman  Рік тому

      I would go with the manufacturers recommendation. I purchased my doors from Vintage Technologies and took the measurements from the doors themselves. If you use VT doors, them 4-5/8 is just right.

    Me thinks the Bat Cave is getting a bit too small, what with all the templates you will have in a couple years and your increasing level of production....
    Another great video!

      Thanks Aspendell! Yeah... Bat Cave getting kind of crowded again! Projects will have to get smaller! LOL!

    Hi, during the marking of the door opening, you adjusted an additional 1/4 inch which I see reflected in the plans but on the plans I received, the dimension to the bottom of the door is not shown, as it is in your video, did you modify that height as well?

    • @OregonBatman
      @OregonBatman  3 роки тому

      the height of the door cut out to bottom of template is 6".... so the door cut out is 4" above the floor. Hope that helps!

    That looked like a challenger door, is that where it's from? If not where did you track it down, challenger door was the cheapest I could find when I was getting all my stuff together.
    Looking good as always.

      Thanks DR! I purchased the doors from Vintage Technologies, teardrop trailer parts... I wouldn't say these are the cheapest at $385 each, but will work and look nice. Just like most things, if you want it... better save up for it! :)

      @@OregonBatman My challenger door was about the same, think I paid $360ish for a similar size. Only issue with them is as they are a custom door company you have to wait 3-5 weeks for it. Everywhere I could find micro door/teardrop door they were like $600+. Not sure if that was due to availability or what but I was sure glad I found Challenger doors when I did.

      I've been on business trip for the last week, so getting back to you late... these doors came in about a week. Vintage Tech is usually pretty good about shipping quick and on time! My go to guys! They are on Ebay too, so makes it pretty handy!

    Sir I have a question; My trailer is 7 foot wide and 10 foot long. Seeings plywood only comes in 4x8 sheets how do you do the add feet? And what is your final weight of the trailer?

    • @OregonBatman
      @OregonBatman  4 роки тому

      Hi Kenneth! You would need to use a scarf joint to butt the two ends together to make the length. I'm guessing the final weight to be around 1100 pounds.

    Hi on your 26in x 36in door how big a hole did you cut?

    • @OregonBatman
      @OregonBatman  4 роки тому

      Hi Troy, according to my drawings, I cut 26.25" x 36.25". More than enough room around the edges once installed.
