Most important for me is the screen activation. Does is automatically flip out and then store itself when the vehicle is turned on? The cheaper ones on Ebay put me off because they are manually activated

Hi, thanks for the video, I like the fold out screen and I'm thinking of fitting this unit to my classic car. Does it need constant 12v power? I have a battery isolator / kill switch fitted for security and because if I dont drive it for a few months the battery goes flat.

Karen Ann Thank you! All newer pioneer units work great with reverse cameras. The image is clear. The best two units would be the DMH-Z5350 and 6350 :)
What I found is the avh-z7200dab has dab and splash screen change and no hdmi. The avh3500nex has splash screen change and hdmi but I am confused as well xD

I had a battery drain issue with this unit in my 2006 Mini Cooper S JCW - i had it uninstalled to test but it didn't seem to be the problem. bought a new car battery but now when i tried to reinstall the unit it won't power on... haven't changed the harness or anything, literally just disconnected it and reconnected (btw, disconnected car battery before attempting reconnect). any thoughts?
Vance Khoo Struggling to see any big difference in any of them. Just read about them on the pioneer website. Looks like the same unit. Perhaps because pioneer are one of the only companies doing the fold out screen they just use the same unit and update the part number

Michael Bouboulis Yes it will 😊. The screen will hit the gear selector on its way out (auto cars) so you’ll have to be weary of that but otherwise yes it will fit.
Michael Bouboulis Yes for memory the screen clears in Neutral and definitely in 2nd / 4th . FYI in auto cars it clears in D or N just not in P so when you start the car you’ve gotta be quick to get out of Park 😂
RR 10 It can be be done but you’ll need custom work done. For fascia, steering wheel controls etc. if it’s just CarPlay and Android Auto you’re after I’d be looking into an integration module.
I own the 3500 in my 91 bronco have not seen much difference. Lay out is different but other than that apoears to be the same. I never use the radio can not comment on that.

I would first un plug and re plug it in. If no change I would be using a test light to check powers and ground :)

It’ll fit! But you most likely need to hardwire it. Unless your car has the OEM plug and you can find the adapter harness on www.aerpro.com
