- This video shows the removal of the rear glass, replacement of the rollers, and installation, as well as cleaning the contacts on the switches which may be required to restore function. May apply to other ASC convertibles, idk
690810W010 is the part number, I got mine from parts.lakeland.... They only have one side in stock so get 2 of those and transfer the rollers off one to the other side. The rollers are the same on both plates, unfortunately they don't sell the rollers on their own, at least not that I could find
The rollers that break are the same for both side, only one plate is available to order. The rollers can be transferred from the new plate to the old as necessary
This video was tremendously helpful! Please never take it down. You can only glean so much from the forums and as these cars turn into classics more people will be wanting to do this.
Thank you so much for posting this. I’ve been looking for years how to do this. I’ve tried several times each time the window comes off track.
Thank you so much for this. I got mine out to replace the motor and wasn’t exactly sure how to put it back in. Any tips on how to make putting it in the car any easier would be greatly appreciated. But you’re right 15 minutes isn’t too bad.
Are you going to do anymore diy fix it videos for your celica?

i got them from toyota parts overstock, like i said there is only the passenger side in stock but you can just order 2 of those and pop the rollers off one to transfer to the drivers side

I took a little extra time to weld up some bolts and washers together and put some grease in the track so I never have to replace plastic again
