Kola completely fell into the defensive mindset and "forgot" about the mobility of his own Roy. Clearly it was not only a game of skill but it was also a mental game.

Yes exactly this, Kola played Leo's game and got destroyed. Roy has the tools to contest Mythras speed and button mashing, he just didn't do any of it.

Yeah I absolutely love seeing Aegis play not just cause I’m a big xenoblade fan and Pyra bias but I just love seeing stance changing characters how they slip between forms depending on the situation just like Shulk from the same franchise!

His match with Riddles in Momocon was far more brutal. Kola was down 0-2 within the first 4 min of the game.

This looked almost as clinical as the Byleth masterclass from SWT. Leo is a demon.
It was much better. The Byleth was just Leo abusing Roy’s recovery, here what we had is a complete demonstration, not even closed onstage.

Honestly I didn't really care much about Aegis till I started playing XC2. Leo's play with the character(s) is sick though, I adore Pyra and Mythra as characters in both games.

A good old fashioned sword fight. This is what I like to see. All that mining and crafting, less so. Rooting for Leo or Light or Sparg0 or Gluto or Dabuz or *someone* to figure out how to crush that gremliny, pixelated upstart.
Leo almost never Up's+B with Pyra, which is strange cuz it is a good killing move
I think kola's Roy is fast enough to punish it and make it risky if he misses on the way down
Pyra’s up b is incredibly laggy, almost as much as her forward smash. Leo has no reason to go for it when he can keep safe pressure going until he takes the stock
He does use it a good bit, but Kola here was playing a character who could punish it quite hard.
That 3rd match was insane.

Honestly, I was very critical about Steve at first, but as long as Steve players ensure that pathetic Aegis won't achieve anything, Ultimate stays clean! am so happy that Steve is in Ultimate! :)
