Was riding Vespas in England, in the 80's, LOVE THEM, always have, so much so, that my most common way of getting to sleep, is retracing my journey from front door, to a few miles out my little town, on my last scooter, a T5. Every bend/sound and gear change, i fall asleep smiling im guessing. Lovely honest review, of probably my favourite things in life 👌
@@samihasib You're welcome 👌. I never had a direct race with a PX200, but the T5 was quicker at acceleration I'd say. When i first rode it, i struggled pulling away on slight inclines, and a very close mini roundabout, was my Nemesis for a few weeks!, as the front wheel just wanted to lift off the ground 😳. Im no wheelie master at all, so was a little daunting at times. It came stock, with pirelli tyres also. Our little lanes in south east England, were perfect for testing kut its handling, and i found it superb, and was a close match speed wise for a lot of my friends 125 standard bikes at the time. Scootering magazine, at the time the T5 came out, done a special test from Lands end, to John 'O Groats in England, riding like 600 miles or so, to test difference between the T5 and PX 200, a direct comparison. I probably still have the magazine somewhere, but you may find it online maby, worth reading possibly. Sorry i was rambling 😂
I have a px150 2015 at home with a Chrome SIP ROAD 2.0 and that makes a shit load of noise too. Adore you px200 and that exhaust is whopper too! Have a good man and keep up the riding! Appreciate how much some people love these things. ✌️
Nice vespa, you are so lucky for having this px 200 in the great shape and you got the late year of this px200. In my country Indonesia px 200 was discontinued in 1989. Enjoying alot your video, wish i could have px200 someday
I love the manual transmission. In fact, I refuse to buy an automatic. Years ago I had a new 125. In 1958 I had a new 150. I loved both of them. It saddens me that a manual transmission is no longer available.
Very nice video I love it I have PX 125 original from piaggio and bajaj chetak150 classic from India but for me PX is the best ever made scooter and is similar colour with this
Very nice. I have a 1979 P200E. Kick start only. Mine still has the spare tire. No way would I give that up, since the Vespa has tube type tires and I have had dozens of flats with tube type tires over the past several decades, including on the Vespa. I found that while it runs fine without a battery, the headlight is very weak, and the turn signals don't work with the engine at idle. I'm the type that you could not give an EFI /ABS bike to. I just love the 2 stroke engine and manual transmission.
I think the PX125 T5 had the same top speed of 62mph (100 kmph)- both reach 65mph (104kmph) with a bigger main jet and a better exhaust like a SIP Road 2.
As i saw in the video your vespa handlebar is shaking alot, i have same problem here, did you fix it? I have replace clutch set and shock abserver, upgrated malossi 210 cylinder but it is still shaking more then before! What could be the problem, too much annoying to ride with the shaking handlebar! Thanks for sharing the solution in advance if you know it!
Thanks for the review. I'm buying a 1988 motovespa TX 200 has minor scratches but no rust and the manual transmission is and the 2 stroke smell and sound is priceless what's your opinion on the TX 200?? Anyone??
TX200 engine is exactly the same as PX200; with the body of a much loved T5 body. Go for it.... and good luck. Keep in mind though that the front brake will be a drum brake, not nearly as good as the disc brakes.
Thank you for the video it’s a great introduction to this model. I’ve been offered a PX 200 with low kilometres. It’s not running. The owner says it needs a new battery and new fuel lines. I haven’t actually inspect the bike yet. My last Vespa two-stroke was a P x150 from 2012. I’m in Western Australia and I know you are in South Australia. What sort of money do you think it would be worth? I know that’s very difficult to answer without Farmor information and pictures however you know what you’re talking about. All the best

Was T5 quicker than px200 ?

This is a great video. I'm viewing a PX200 tomorrow with a sip exhaust. Never ever owned a scoot so this helps a lot.
Excellent review! I own a PX200 with a 210 Polini kit. Makes a big difference
Very cool thank you! I’m about to buy a 1981 PX80 modified with a 177cc engine. Good tutorial to have a head start

Great review, I have exactly the same model and colour (just a bit later in year) and I love it 🙂

Do you know the colour code for this Vespa? Mine is the same and I need to get it repainted but it doesn’t have the code on the bike. Cheers

The battery doesn't turn on the head light when the engine isn't running but key on Right? Just bought one and still learning about the bike
Yap. The electrical system is magneto based, not full DC

Not running - not more than 3k, running about 5k to 6k
Ho muçh
Produce by piaggio...
So you have a chamber exhaust on a stock engine. You aren't really doing any good with that setup :/
Hello S H I have a Vespa px200 year 1986
Hi HS you can send me phones or e-mail from stores that sell wasps and scooters.
May I ship the pieces to Brazil.

I had one of these, it was shit, suffered a heat seizure.
