Excellent idea on upgrading your tool kit. I like the tools that you have chosen. You gave me an idea, I should pick up the items you have to put my truck.
Congrats on passing 80k subscribers. I have the backend of our Jeep loaded down as well. The old saying is “It’s better to have and not need than need and not have”
I have a halo "bolt" it's a power pack that will jumpstart your car. Works! Also have jumper cables, and road flairs. I keep individual wet wipes in my glove box. Comes in handy to clean your hands when you are done working on the vehicle. I also have a first aid kit complete with a tourniquet. You never know when you will need some serious first aid and it will most likely be while driving.
We have 3 different generations of Halo’s. Don’t leave home without. Great investment for anyone. I have used to charge phone, run laptop, run radio equipment, jumped of vehicles of all sizes
Nice upgrades for the truck Quady, looks like your preparing for a long trip 🥰🤞Don't forget a first aid kit and some road flares. Always looking forward to your adventures 🌟👍
My problem is I pack too many tools! Enjoyed the video. Watch your videos to ease the itch when I can’t get out camping myself. Btw, nice sweatshirt, my hometown.
I pruned all the standard sizes out of my tool bag. Everything from the factory on the truck is metric, and any accessories that aren't metric have a metric equivalent. I also use the bag any time I work on the truck at home. It really helps to know you'll be ready in an emergency repair. I also keep a ball joint pickle fork because 4runners are known to pop a joint at the most inconvenient time.
Add a electrical kit: wire, connectors, crimping tool, solder and soldering iron or mini torch, dialectic grease to keep out moisture at connections, small voltmeter for testing circuits and checking battery voltage, light bulbs, wire stripper. You've got fuses and tape. Maybe one of those battery booster/charger/jump start units, whatever they're called.
I always learn something from this channel. Listen up single ladies!! This is some of the qualities you want in a good husband. He is a jack of all trades.
Great Start, Try adding some shop hand cleaner, shop towles, sos wind up radio, oh and rubber gloves. Just a thought. I am a girl and I always carry that in my car just in case. Ya never know. Love your videos and can't wait for the next one. Thank you.
I'm too much of a tool junkie, but a few things I thought of that I carry in addition to your haul there: a six point quality socket for the wheel nuts ( mine fits both the truck and the trailer ), spare serpentine belt, torque wrench ( for wheel lug nuts truck and trailer ), Corona brand tree limb saw, SOG tomahawk/hatchet, first aid kits, several flashlights, volt/ohm meter.
Can never have enough, I have to keep my toolbox away from other's, because some people use them and never put them back, drives me be crazy, I call me having OCD lol
Don't forget the paper clips and gum wrappers. (Already got the duct tape). Looked like christmas when opening all them tools. Maybe some 550 paracord too. Look forward to the next adventure. Cheers.
I’m a mechanic for a living. Would recommend going with a hose clamp tool for the clamp style hose clamps. The long cable style hose clamp pliers. They fit easy in a bag and the pliers you have will struggle to remove them. That way if a coolant hose springs a leak or busts you can change it still and replace the spring style with a screw style.
Great share, I enjoyed watching...... Consider multiple smaller bags. Makes it easier to store and lighter (might fit where you wanted to put the tools then). I have three smaller bags. One with straps, bungees, tie wraps, gloves. Then one with wrenches, pliers, etc.. the third with hammer breaker bar, etc..... I actually have a fourth bag, but it is smaller and only has my jumper cables in it so they do not hook on things. For stuff like my truck straps I have them separated one per zip lock back inside their tool bag so they do not tangle on stuff.
When you build out a tool kit, you build it out thoroughly. No one can ever deny that. As for the placement in the truck, yeah it looks to me like you'll have to modify that rear seat delete. If I had the same problem, I would look into cutting the delete shelf in half and moving one shelf up enough to fit your new tool bag under it permanently. If you gave yourself some breathing room in that new under shelf you could probably throw some recovery gear and those jumper cables and the jump box into it as well, and free up the smaller side for even more gear. You definitely don't want the heavy tool bag sitting on top of that plastic tote, as a hard brake maneuver could easily send it tumbling into the front seat. Plus you'd have to move the heavy bag anytime you wanted to get firewood or whatever else you might keep in those totes out of the backseat. I spose the other thing you could do, is return that larger bag and buy 2 smaller bags, fill those up and put one or both of them under the seat delete shelf, or in your roof box.
I carry some bailing wire in my truck tool kit. Great for temporary exhaust (& misc) repairs - easy to work with, won’t melt and takes up very little room in the kit.
I love the bucket boss bag stuff I use one for my gun range bag similar size to the Menards bag and the inside pockets fit many pistols and my stapler with tons of room for ear pro, tools, glasses and even some extra ammo boxes. It's been tough as nails.
maybe two tool bags to offset weight and/or make the bag smaller instead of jamming everything into one? There would definitely be enough space for all of it down there. I've also noticed a lot of rock crawlers and overlanders keep their stuff on rack mounts either on top or on the side of their vehicles so that they can access them in a pinch. You have plenty of space over the cab to do this and could even mount a solar array up there on the empty area to help charge your battery system.
Portable solar charger, tarp to help slide on the ground to stay dry, folding shovel if ya gotta dig a path.. wiper fluid,a funnel, whatever you need, trust yourself, you do you better than anyone...
Warning on the star bit set. The screw that holds those together will come lose and you lose all the pieces. Been there done that. Lock tight does the trick.
Dont forget some battery operated lights(round push ones, work the best)for the dark, something that I learned the hard way. I like how you put these videos in😁 thanks for it
Looks great. I do make a list for my truck camper. I recommend you to get a set of recovery traction mats in case if your truck get stuck in mud or snow etc
Seriously be careful lifting with a bottle Jack. Use a Powerbuilt type jack that is a cross between jack stand and bottle jack. Amazon has them, I got two for my 3/4 ton truck set up the same as you to camp in. Works excellent and has the jack stand shaped end to cradle the rear Axel or front way better than a skinny round bottle jack.
a pack of machine screws and bolts with washers and nuts along with a drill or impact gun with Al the bits and drivers would be good to have for repairs. also get a hacksaw and 2 adjustable wrenches
2 things I didn't hear you mention is a jump box (instead of jumper cables) and a mini air compressor. A jump box can start the truck without another vehicle and a mini air compressor can be plugged in to air a tire temporarily.
You can always Weld a carrier box on the bottom inside of your tire carrier for your tool bag to sit in make it water tight it will be a tight fit but it will work
Add a tool to change out your serpentine belt. Put in a new one and keep old one for a spare. Also have a jumper battery if you don't have one already. Bring a piece or two of wood for the jack.
You have more tools in your truck than I have in my house lol. I personally think 3 vice grips and and any more the one set of pliers or side cutters is excessive and extra unnecessary weight but I love your set up. Your videos are inspiring and make me want a truck cap so I can build my own. Thank you for sharing.
You definitely want to bring something to put the jack on so it doesn't sink into the ground acouple of pressure treated 2"×10" or 2"×12" a foot long or so would work tool kit looks good I reads some of the comments and there was a lot of good ideas
Great tool kit setup! Now you should put yourself a really great first aid kit with like a bandages tourniquet blood clot and so forth! It’s better to be safe than sorry ! Keep up the great content and can’t wait for your next adventure 👍🏻
Awesome hitting 80k! Keep em coming! Also maybe a spare oil filter and wrench. Pop a hole in it going over a stick or something and your stuck. Great video!! Oh yeah, good idea to toss in 5-6 10mm sockets because they will run away from any tool kit. 😂😂
Try out the bottle jack to make sure it works where and the way you want it to. And to make sure it actually works. Tool rolls are always handy! Might want to take the wrenches out of that plastic thing. Takes up too much room. Don't forget electrical stuff!!!
Very nice tool kit you've put together. I would like to offer the idea of carrying some wire (in case of exhaust issues) and an impact socket (the size of your lug nuts). Maybe a battery terminal/post brush, and a nice flashlight.
This inspired me to toss a few more tools into my car! Not as many as this but something is better than nothen.. I am curious tho and haven't seen it addressed on other videos.. I would imagine you are armed. I couldn't imagine camping alone or going off on random outings without some form of protection and being on guard, like locking your truck at night and tailgate. I assume you are... but havent seen that addressed anywhere, great video!
Should of went like a bigger tool kit and then small bag for hand tools. I have a dewalt mechanic kit has like 200-250 pieces socket wrenches screwdriver etc. and then I have a tiny bag with some pliers zip ties etc. it doesn’t weight much and as always got the job done. I did have to add some torx 3/8 sockets for my girls car but that kit is awesome took my whole dash off to get to heat core with it
Even though I'm not going to read the comments, I think you opened up a can of worms for a ton of suggestions. Sorry, but the thought of that gives me a chuckle. 😁
Digital Volt Meter, Hacksaw,Duct Tape,a small tarp or visquene. Paracord, hose clamps, replace your srp belt and stow your old one, spare Schrader valve. The list is endless but chances are you might not ever need any.
My seat delete platform is a little higher than yours. I have all of the tools stuffed underneath. I used several smaller bags and just stuffed them in. I have a bag of power tools under there, too. I also carry a torque wrench.
get you a nice tool bag a little bigger than those black ones for those wrenches it will give you more space in the main bag also stand your socket sets on end if possible it will keep you from having to dig them out everytime you go to needing them
Thanks for all the great Info and ideas. Always appreciate all your sharing Crazy.. 👊🏻
Super rad that you’re repping that San Diego hoodie. Cheers from SD! 🤘🏼

@@Dennissells05 I too have used my halo to charge my phone when the power in the house went out. Such a handy device!
Sarkeypugs
The challenge is real. Making all the tools fit. I can relate to this video!
Nice upgrades for the truck Quady, looks like your preparing for a long trip 🥰🤞Don't forget a first aid kit and some road flares. Always looking forward to your adventures 🌟👍
A few 2X6 blocks of wood for the jack
On the list
Congrats on 80,000 subs!!!!
Thanks, Laurie!
Lots of great tools! I have the same tool tote bag! Thanks for sharing your tool kit. Have a great evening!
Love seeing that SD hoodie! Where I grew up and my family still lives 🌴🏄♂️🌮

Very true
Deff a good kit some other simple stuff wire ties, heavy rope bailing wire also something simple and easy to have.
I must say, I've never bothered to get my tools organized this neatly 😅 All my tool boxes are filled with haphazardly piled up tools 😅
A tire inflator that plugs into the cigarette lighter to go with your tire plug kit has saved me on several occasions.
Great Start, Try adding some shop hand cleaner, shop towles, sos wind up radio, oh and rubber gloves. Just a thought. I am a girl and I always carry that in my car just in case. Ya never know. Love your videos and can't wait for the next one. Thank you.
Don't forget a few shop rags , really comes in handy .
Good idea
@@CrazyQuady also a small pack of wet wipes for dirty hands after working on your vehicle and a small container of gel to clean oily hands
Mount your bottle jack in your extra battery tray if it's not being used, or a ammo can there for tools
I have an ammo can there with a strap and d-rings, there's a video on that somewhere
Magnetic pickup tool, tarp to lay on, extra light bulbs and fuses, wiring connectors

Hell yeah dude. Every video you post is killer . Appreciate all that you do man.
Bottle jacks are one of the handiest things to own you can do a lot more then lift cars you can fix dents open thing they are handy
Flex tape ,caulk , and spray. For unexpected water leaks. I injoy your videos.
Also would recommend the 45 degree angle icon for pliers. Extremely useful for tons of different applications and extremely high quality for the price
You are sure doing a lot of upgrades on your truck.
80K subs! Congratulations! 🎉🎉 Job well done! I love watching your videos!
Thx Mike!

Quady you may want to add a flashlight or headlamp, and Hand Cleaner, and LED Road Flares. WD 40 & Bolt Degreaser. Battery Terminal Cleaner, Good Luck
Congratulations on your 80k subscribers ❤️
Congrates Mike for 80K subscribers🎉😘🎊. Let's hit 100

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻, I most likely have 40lbs + of tools but when you are out in the middle of nowhere you never know.
at some point when i was making my trucks tool set, i realized its easier to just throw my toolbox into the truck :)
Congratulations on 80k subs CQ!
Never gunna have some tools with you in the road quady smart man

thats a great buch of tools you bought Mike, good luck with everything 💯

YES SIR!!!!!! thank you for the new vid, also a good thing to get is places like autozone and oreillys sell little fuse assortment packs!!

Your truck looks brand new when cleaned, you have tools for anything you might need to use them for you're well prepared
Ground mat or tarp, .. and a mini hacksaw might come in handy.
Also, a flashlight or flex-light with magnet on the end of it, to stick to the underside of the truck or whatnot for better visibility.
*I would get some of the bigger skrewdriver's. They do come in handy if you need some force or anything.*
Pretty solid tool setup. I got one of those large Pittsburgh kits from harbor freight that I keep in my Fiero’s for when I have issues. 👍
I would add a cheap tarp so you don't have to work on the wet ground, and good piece of wood to put under the bottle jack.
You definitely want to bring something to put the jack on so it doesn't sink into the ground acouple of pressure treated 2"×10" or 2"×12" a foot long or so would work tool kit looks good I reads some of the comments and there was a lot of good ideas

Why??
Great tool kit setup! Now you should put yourself a really great first aid kit with like a bandages tourniquet blood clot and so forth! It’s better to be safe than sorry ! Keep up the great content and can’t wait for your next adventure 👍🏻
considering this tool kit, i bet he has a paramedic level first aid kit
Awesome hitting 80k! Keep em coming! Also maybe a spare oil filter and wrench. Pop a hole in it going over a stick or something and your stuck. Great video!! Oh yeah, good idea to toss in 5-6 10mm sockets because they will run away from any tool kit. 😂😂
I have a 4Runner so, no tool kits necessary😂😂
I do have lots of recovery equipment however. 😎
What about a hose clamp several sizes and some tubing
Your ready for just about anything
Try out the bottle jack to make sure it works where and the way you want it to. And to make sure it actually works. Tool rolls are always handy! Might want to take the wrenches out of that plastic thing. Takes up too much room. Don't forget electrical stuff!!!
Very nice tool kit you've put together. I would like to offer the idea of carrying some wire (in case of exhaust issues) and an impact socket (the size of your lug nuts). Maybe a battery terminal/post brush, and a nice flashlight.
Pressure gauge, booster cables, foam knee pads.
Also you should include in your tool kit is a 12 volt automotive trouble light. I don't know where to find them, but they are available out there.
This inspired me to toss a few more tools into my car! Not as many as this but something is better than nothen.. I am curious tho and haven't seen it addressed on other videos.. Check the fluid in that bottle jack. Hobo freight is known for not having fluids in there products. I learned the hard way on that one
Harbor freight the man store 😂
😂 I should've just bought everything there 🤦♂️
Should of went like a bigger tool kit and then small bag for hand tools. I have a dewalt mechanic kit has like 200-250 pieces socket wrenches screwdriver etc. and then I have a tiny bag with some pliers zip ties etc. it doesn’t weight much and as always got the job done. Although it's adding more $hit, but what about a small fire extinguisher?
Cool video, I love harbor freight.
Zip ties and duck tape fix everything 😎😂
Cheers 🍺 CQuady 👊
Would be a good idea to buy a deep socket for your wheels. A battery impact will be a life saver too changing tires.
Bottle jack, weld two brackets to hold it to the spare tire bars then lock it in.
Digital Volt Meter, Hacksaw,Duct Tape,a small tarp or visquene. Paracord, hose clamps, replace your srp belt and stow your old one, spare Schrader valve. The list is endless but chances are you might not ever need any.
almost number 1!
You need to put a K&N cold airflow on that jewel!
You always will need an assortment of : SCREWS-BOLTS-NUTS-WASHERS. Nothing great big but a few
You will never have enough tools!!!
I'm sure you do just make sure you got a big enough socket for your lug nuts Harbor Freight has a nice flip socket.
Enjoyed the video. Have a good one
My seat delete platform is a little higher than yours. I have all of the tools stuffed underneath. I used several smaller bags and just stuffed them in. I have a bag of power tools under there, too. I also carry a torque wrench.
Wd40 is a good idea 🤔. They have those flashlights now that start fires?
Portable air compressor that plugs into 12 volt outlet.
Harbor freight, too much fun to go there. Bottle jack will leak all the oil out if you don't store it upright.
get you a nice tool bag a little bigger than those black ones for those wrenches it will give you more space in the main bag also stand your socket sets on end if possible it will keep you from having to dig them out everytime you go to needing them
You’re going to have to tow your trailer with you if you make that tool kit any bigger 😆 they do unfortunately take up a lot of room . Nice setup 👍🏻
With the bottle jack you may want to put a jack stand as well so it doesnt fall on you while changing a tire
I keep putting this off and now I gotta go do it lol! I have less space than you do and I'm over here like "damn where im I gonna put this"
